Sharing a bed

Sharing a bed

After he left for a while, Yuanli called the maid to prepare the bath water, washed, changed clothes, extinguished the candle and lay down to sleep.

There were hurried footsteps outside the room. Yuanli took out the brocade bag he left behind before he left. Inside was a thick piece of parchment. Judging from the color of the paper and the smell it emitted, the paper must have been there for quite a while.

Standing in front of the window facing the backyard, Yuanli opened the parchment in the faint moonlight, and inside was a map of Qi Mansion.

The courtyard was painted with exceptional clarity, with red ink marking out the tunnels that ran through the entire Qi Mansion. Each tunnel could connect to Qi Heng's house, the so-called center point of the Qi Mansion.

Following the markings on the parchment map, she quickly found the entrance to the tunnel indicated on the map.

As soon as I went down, the candles in the tunnel automatically lit up and illuminated the way ahead.

The tunnel is kept exceptionally clean, with weapons, torches, fire starters and other tools readily available. Although the parchment is old and should have been left over from the previous dynasty, the tunnel is constantly being repaired.

The different handwritings on the parchment indicated the hidden weapons in the tunnel. With the help of the clues, they soon arrived at Qi Heng's house.

The only entrance to his room was the bed where he slept.

This was the first time Yuanli came to the house where she lived in this life. The furnishings and layout of the house were similar to the house where he and she lived in their previous life.

The incense burner on the desk in the room was lit with peach blossom calming incense, and the whole room was filled with that scent.

After midnight, perhaps because the peach blossom calming incense was too effective in inducing sleep and the room was too warm, Yuanli suddenly felt tired and her head was dizzy.

Yuanli's cheeks were burning and her throat was dry. While he was still here, she casually opened her clothes a little to let in the cool breeze.

I picked up the teapot on the table and drank the cold water in it. The cool feeling went into my throat, making me feel very comfortable.

She blew out the candle on the table, and the room became dim. Yuanli replaced his warm quilt on the bed with the quilt she brought with her, and then lay down to rest for a while.

Suddenly falling into a dream, the sound of wooden boards hitting the door bolt and shaking came into her ears faintly, and Yuanli seemed to feel that someone had entered the room.

Until I heard a woman's charming voice calling me softly: "Master Qi, are you asleep? It's cold in early spring, but I'm warm. I'll warm your quilt like I do in winter, okay?"

She did not lower her voice, but seemed to be deliberately letting the people outside the door hear it. But because of this, Qi Heng became more awake and half-closed his eyes to try to see clearly.

In front of her, a figure flashed quickly beside the bed. The back and the dress made her feel as if she saw her Wen Yici in a dream.

All traces of the woman's voice disappeared completely, as if it had never existed.

The intense feeling of tiredness made her feel as if she was still in a dream, and the scorching warmth in the quilt made her throat dry and sore.

When she reached out from under the quilt, the comfortable cool air soothed the burning sensation on her skin. Yuanli subconsciously kicked the quilt away, but it seemed to come alive, constantly falling on her and wrapping her up.

Seeing that she couldn't get rid of the quilt, Yuanli had to give up and ripped open her clothes completely to expose her chest.

After falling into a more peaceful sleep, Yuanli seemed to dream of Wen Yici sitting beside her bed. She muttered to the invisible person in front of her: "Water, my husband, I want it, water, give it to me..."

The person in front of him was indifferent and just stared at him blankly. Even in a dream, her Ah Ci would never be so indifferent to him. This was the first time, which made her sure that this was a dream.

Knowing that it was a dream, Yuanli acted a little bolder, because it didn't exist anyway.

"Why don't you agree with me? You're not willing to do such a small thing that is within your ability?" Yuanli asked angrily.

The person in front of her finally took action and brought her something, but it was lukewarm water, which did not cool her already dry throat.

Yuanli resisted the hot water and wanted to push it away, but somehow she used too much force and knocked the cup out of his hand, causing the water to spill onto her chest and into her clothes.

"Don't mess around. I'll go get you some medicine. You... move aside."

"You're the one who's sick!" Yuanli was a little annoyed, and rolled to the side, pressing down tightly on the top of the tunnel. "Don't even think about leaving me again..."

Warm liquid flowed from the corners of her eyes, and she felt inexplicably impulsive in her heart, making her want to put into action all the strange ideas that popped up in her mind.

"I'm not leaving you, Ah Li. I just want to help you get the antidote. I can't go through the main door. If others see you and I sleeping together, you'll have to marry me. Just move aside, okay?"

"You don't want me to marry you...to be your wife? You want that cousin, Zhao, Zhao Qingrui, to be your wife, right?"

Having said that, Yuanli angrily pulled the quilt over her, lay on her side, covered her head and curled up into a ball.

"You are wronging me, I didn't. From the beginning to the end, I only wanted to marry you as my only wife."

Through the quilt, the strength of his hand on her body was particularly real. Yuanli slowly pulled down the quilt and stuck her head out. Wen Yici's face was real, and the hand on her body was also real.

Feeling his tenderness once again, even in a dream, Yuanli felt greed in her heart.

"Really? If you do what I just asked, I will believe you."

"Then you are willing to marry me, even if I ask you again after waking up, will you still agree?"

Yuanli couldn't quench her thirst with the cold water, so she kept urging him, "I'm willing, I was willing in my previous life..."

He sat for a while and then stood up to work for a while. Passing by the desk, he picked up the cold water bottle that Yuanli drank before going to bed and asked for a glass of water. Yuanli was very satisfied, with an expectant and happy smile on her face.

Sitting on his bed, he lifted her up and leaned her against his arms, fed her the glass of cold water, and then took out a piece of paper and a seal from his arms.

The chill that almost penetrated her heart made her more awake. Her eyelids relaxed a lot, her vision became wider, and Wen Yici's face became clearer.

His clothes were chilly and felt very cool to the touch. Yuanli couldn't help but move closer to his arms.

"When you're more sober, think it over. I'll ask you again, Ah Li, are you willing to... marry me?"

"I am willing to marry you in my previous life, in this life, and in the next life."

"Words are not enough, written evidence is enough. If you are willing to put your fingerprints on it, I will do whatever you want."

As he spoke, he quickly smeared the seal on her fingers evenly, and then put the place that needed to be stamped under her fingers so that she could press her fingers at any time when she thought it through.

Wen Yici's appearance in front of her made her laugh. She looked at the words, then looked at him again, and signed the contract almost without hesitation.

After putting away the contract, he put her down and made her lie down. Seeing the "Cooling Treasure" leave, Yuanli looked at him reluctantly with a nostalgic look in her eyes.

He stood up and walked to the closet, carefully put the document away, then quickly returned to the bed.

The two looked into each other's eyes. The room was so quiet that only the sound of their heavy breathing could be heard. They were so engrossed in watching each other that Yuanli caught a glimpse of his hand restlessly touching the cushion at the entrance of the tunnel.

"Since you've already said you'll do whatever I say, why are you leaving me?"

"If you want... I will do as you say, but not now. I just want to get the antidote for you."

Yuanli looked unhappy and said angrily, "You lied to me? I don't need any antidote, I just need you. Don't leave me again."

"I didn't lie to you. I'll do as you say, all of it, Ah Li. If you wake up tomorrow and regret it, it will be too late."

Yuanli shook her head suddenly, "Come closer to me."

He looked away, swallowed hard, his Adam's apple slid, and leaned closer to her. In the moonlight, his fair skin looked even more delicate.

"Come closer to me."

"Ari, your clothes...if you get any closer, they'll stick to you."

"I know, it's not like we've been intimate before. Are you still shy? Come closer and look at me. Lean down. Don't stop until I say so."

After hesitating for a moment, fearing that she would be angry again, Qi Heng had no choice but to obey her and lean over the bed to slowly move closer. They were so close that their noses were touching, and only then did she say stop.

Through the quilt, Yuanli's arms wrapped around his neck, the heat in her heart relieved, and she hugged him tightly, greedily. His center of gravity was unstable, and their noses were pressed together.

"Ari, you..."

Yuanli used the strength of her hook to lift his neck and sniff carefully before saying disappointedly: "You smell like rouge and powder..."

"A-Li is not what you think. I got infected while working on a case. Chu Xiao can testify for me. If I did that, I will be struck by lightning."

He explained hurriedly, his expression flustered, using only one hand to hold the distance while swearing with the other.

"Ari, let me go."

"From now on, you are not allowed to go to that kind of place behind my back..."

After he finished speaking, Wen Yu in his arms not only did not let go as he said, but instead hooked her arms around his neck and kissed him. The little space he was holding up also relaxed due to the sudden force and pressed down on her.

She bit him as if in revenge, but relaxed her strength when he cried out incoherently in pain.

Wen Yu's revengeful behavior in his arms became more and more excessive, gradually destroying his sanity and making him completely out of control.

After a busy night, Yuanli fell asleep exhausted. When the sun was already high in the sky, she woke up and felt as if her body had been run over by a carriage.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Yuanli suddenly found herself hugging Qi Heng. She was resting her head on his arm, leaning against his chest, and hugging his waist in return.

No matter how you look at it, it seems like she took the initiative.

Last night, she only dreamed of a romantic relationship with Wen Yici. Could it be that she mistook Qi Heng, who had just returned from handling a case, for Wen Yici?

Peach blossom calming incense! There must be something wrong with that incense...

Yuanli looked annoyed. If there was a crack in the ground, she wanted to crawl in immediately. She tiptoed to remove his hand, but she never intended to wake him up.

Qi Heng lowered his eyes and stared at her, his expression unremarkable.

"Sir, I deserve death, please don't kill me..."

"Kill you?" Qi Heng snorted in displeasure, and said in an unhappy tone: "You change your attitude too quickly. When you took the initiative to attack me last night, you didn't even politely call me Master..."

Before Qi Heng could finish his words, Yuanli quickly covered his mouth to prevent him from saying anything more shameful.

"Do you know what happens to those who dare to climb into the master's bed in the imperial capital?"
