Chapter 245 One Arm (2/2)

Yan Huai's eyes darkened, and he was about to give chase with his sword when a knife suddenly stabbed at him. He instinctively dodged while looking up.

Huo Cheng's gaze darkened: "I have long heard of Your Highness's superb swordsmanship. May I ask if you would be so kind as to offer some guidance?"

Yan Huai glanced at him a few times and said in a calm tone, "You have internal injuries and won't last more than a few moves against me."

Huo Cheng's heart sank. He had already been injured by Yuan Zhao, and now he was at his last gasp. Even if he hadn't been injured, he would not have been a match for the Crown Prince.

But their duty was to protect the Third Prince, and even if it was like throwing an egg against a rock, he would still try!

Without saying a word, Huo Cheng drew his sword and slashed at Yan Huai, who was forced to fight back.

This man's swordsmanship was ruthless and vicious; he didn't seem like a righteous person at all, he thought to himself.

"Your Highness, leave this man to me!"

A cold, harsh voice suddenly came from behind. Yan Huai stepped aside, and Chi Yan held a sword in his hand, his handsome face tinged with coldness.

"Be careful," Yan Huai said gently, knowing his intentions, before continuing to chase after the man.

The other party was seriously injured, and the house was heavily guarded by him, so he couldn't have gone far.

Chi Yan raised his chin, his eyes unreadable: "You're Huo Cheng?"

The latter paused for a moment, then simply admitted frankly, "Yes."

"Then I haven't come to the wrong person." Chi Yan's tone turned cold. "Did you break Feng Zhiwen's finger?"

"So what if it is? Does Young Master Chi intend to avenge him?"

His eyes were icy cold: "You cut off his finger, so I'll take your arm. That's not too much to ask, is it?"

Huo Cheng looked at Chi Yan with a hint of disdain in his eyes, "Young Master Chi, don't blame me for not reminding you, swords have no eyes, this is not child's play!"

Clearly, he didn't think Chi Yan could beat him.

Ignoring his disdain, Chi Yan smiled, but the smile didn't reach his eyes. Instead, a sharp edge crept out from the corners of his eyes and brows: "Then let's give it a try."

The moment the fight began, Huo Cheng's previously nonchalant attitude suddenly changed. He stared at Chi Yan in disbelief: "You know martial arts?!"

No wonder he was taken aback; who would have thought that the notorious playboy in Yanjing was actually hiding his true abilities?

Chi Yan remained silent, his every move sharp and deadly, without a trace of pretense, exuding a deadly pressure. Cold sweat beaded on Huo Cheng's forehead as he struggled to parry.

Before ten moves were up, a scream rang out: "Aaaaah!"

An arm fell to the ground with a thud, spraying blood everywhere. Huo Cheng's face turned deathly pale, and the intense pain caused him to collapse to his knees.

With a sword to his neck, Chi Yan said with a cold sneer, "Since you've heard of my name, Chi Er, haven't you heard that I'm extremely protective of my own?"

With the situation settled, Huo Cheng pursed his lips, his voice weak: "What's an arm? Second Young Master, you might as well just kill me."

"Kill you?" Chi Yan's eyes held a hint of a half-smile. "There are plenty of ways to make someone wish they were dead. Besides, you haven't revealed who's behind you yet. How could I bear to let you die?"

As soon as he finished speaking, he stepped forward and forcefully dislocated his jaw!

A flash of hatred crossed Huo Cheng's eyes as he glared at him intently.

From the other side came the voice of the Crown Prince's personal guard: "Your Highness, we haven't found the person, but we have discovered a secret passage in the well in the backyard. We don't know where it leads!"

Chi Yan frowned and looked over.
