Chapter 113 Mom, what are you talking about?

Li Yang, having sprained her ankle, had been too lazy to leave the house, spending her days in bed, clutching her phone. She was engrossed in a novel when she rolled over. A message popped up, and she impatiently swiped it away. She hated being interrupted by messages while she was reading. But the person who sent her the message, seemingly oblivious to her displeasure, continued to send it. Li Yang couldn't help but feel a little annoyed as she watched the constant stream of messages. She couldn't even focus on the plot she was reading.

She stared at the screen and cursed, "If he dares to post another one, she will never let him off."

Perhaps her words had worked, for after that, he stopped sending messages. Li Yang turned over again, ready to continue reading, but a voice message popped up, leaving her furious.

She picked up the phone immediately. She wanted to see what this bastard was up to. He kept sending messages all day long. She just twisted her ankle, not had a terminal illness. She also didn't know what Nan Yi was up to. He was so long-winded.

"Nan Yi, you better be okay, or you're dead!" Li Yang said through gritted teeth. She was reading her novel perfectly, and suddenly she was interrupted one after another, which made her extremely upset. Moreover, she knew that this person would not give up until she replied. So, although she was very reluctant, she swiped the screen to answer the call.

He'd better find him now because of something urgent. If he just disturbs her because of some trivial matter, then don't blame her for being rude. When her foot is healed, even if the king of heaven comes, she will not let him go.

"Oh, Miss Li, are you angry? Why are you so angry?" Nan Yi raised his lips slightly and said jokingly after hearing the voice from the other side. His tone was relaxed and cheerful, as if he was amused by the other person's mood swings.

He always liked to play tricks on people, especially when they were furious. He found it funny when he thought of her now, feeling so angry that her teeth were itching.

Originally, he didn't have any bad taste, but when he thought about someone seeing his message and deliberately not replying to him, he started to have some small thoughts, as if he wanted to go against her on purpose. If she didn't reply to the message, he would call her. If she didn't answer once, he would call her twice. Fortunately, he was lucky and succeeded in one go, otherwise, he would have to waste time with her.

He turned his chair, crossed his legs, and had a casual posture. His whole body exuded an aura of laziness that could not be lazier.

Li Yang rolled her eyes in silence. She was truly stunned by someone's shameless behavior. She thought to herself, "How could this guy be so shameless? I really want to beat him up!"

"Just tell me what you want to say. Don't waste my time, or I'll hang up." Li Yang said impatiently, muttering to himself, what on earth is this guy trying to do? Is he trying to play some tricks again?

"Nothing important..." Nan Yi's voice came from the other end of the line, but Li Yang didn't even wait for him to finish. "Oh, that's all right, I'm hanging up." Her tone was cold and decisive, as if she didn't care at all about his call. Then, without hesitation, she hung up the phone and went back to reading the novel.

Without someone's interruption, Li Yang felt so comfortable reading the novel.

Nan Yi, who had been hung up on, watched as his phone beeped and returned to the chat screen, feeling a bit awkward and embarrassed. He hadn't expected the other party to hang up so abruptly. He had wanted to tease her a few more times, but in the end, she didn't even have time to say a few more words before being ruthlessly hung up.

He wasn't angry. Seeing that the person hung up, he didn't call back. Anyway, he called just to tell her that he would come to see her in the afternoon. Since she hung up, she couldn't blame him for not telling her in advance.

After get off work, Nan Yi went to visit the Li family with specially prepared fruits and supplements.

Nan Yi, led by the housekeeper, came to the living room. He said with a smile, "Hello, uncle and aunt! Sorry to bother you."

Father Li raised his glasses and glanced at the man in front of him with a warm expression. He stood up, patted his shoulder, and said with a gentle smile, "You are Brother Nan's son, right? I didn't expect that after not seeing you for so long, you have grown so big."

When Li's mother saw him come in, she also got up from the sofa and said gently, "I remember the last time we saw each other, we were still very young. You and my son Xiaochuan had a cute fight. I never thought that you are so big now? You have become more and more handsome. Come, sit down."

Nan Yi, greeted by the two elders, sat on the sofa, smiling and looking like a modest gentleman. "Uncle and aunt, you still remember me. I am so lucky."

"What are you talking about, kid? Your mother and I often talk about you," Li's mother scolded. However, the smile on her face did not show any displeasure, but rather a hint of happiness. She thought this child was quite good.

Nan Yi smiled apologetically, a typical good boy. The more Mother Li saw him, the more she liked him.

Father Li was standing aside, not saying much. He was wondering why this person, who never came to visit, was here. It was a bit strange, but he kept his composure and didn't ask. After all, he would know what he was here for soon.

"How come Xiaoyi has time to come here today?" asked Li's mother. After all, she was also curious about why he suddenly came to visit.

"It's my fault. I visited you without saying hello in advance. I hope you don't mind, uncle or aunt." Nan Yi apologized.

"What are you talking about, kid? Your uncle and aunt are very happy to have you as a guest at home."

"Don't feel burdened, just treat it as your own home." Father Li also spoke.

"The main reason I came here today is to check on Miss Li's injured foot. Because of me, she sprained her foot. I feel very sorry, so I came here today to check on her. I hope uncle and aunt can forgive me." Nan Yi said sincerely.

Li's mother understood immediately. She asked, "Why has someone been sending her supplements and fruits every day these days? I thought her daughter was in love." Who was the suitor who sent the gifts, and was so generous? It turned out to be him.

Li's mother said, "Why should this be forgiven? It's unavoidable for young people to have bumps and bruises when they go out to play. Yangyang's foot is fine, and he can go out in a couple of days."

Nan Yi quickly said, “Auntie, don’t blame me. I’m really grateful. The main thing is that I feel uneasy.”

Mother Li looked at Nan Yi and liked him more and more. She comforted him, "Xiao Yi, don't take it to heart. It's just a small matter."

"Auntie, I feel much better now that you say that." After he said that, he looked upstairs. How could that little thought be hidden from Li's mother, who had experienced it so much? She couldn't help but laugh even more happily.

Li Yang had been lying in bed all day, and her phone was dead. After charging it, she yawned and went out. She heard occasional conversations coming from the living room, and she couldn't help but wonder, who would come home at this time?

However, based on her past experience, she thought that her parents and brother were probably chatting downstairs, so she went downstairs in her pajamas without thinking.

Without even looking, she shouted to her mother, "Mom, what are you talking about?"
