"It's all your fault. Now both of them are kicked out." Wen Ning sat in the tea room and said to Lu Shili.
"Don't worry about it for now, move quickly, or you'll lose." Lu Shili said without raising his head.
"You're still blaming me. With your crappy skills, you keep getting defeated. I've never beaten anyone as weak as you." Wen Ning immediately shifted his attention upon hearing this.
"Sister Ning, you can't blame me for this. It's obviously you who's weak." Lu Shili refused to admit it. It was obvious that both of them were weak, but he refused to admit that it was all because of him.
"Stop talking nonsense and go to the left." Wen Ning instructed him without even looking up.
Lu Shili obediently controlled the character to move to the left, but said with a hint of dissatisfaction: "Sister Ning, don't just blame me, pay attention too."
The two continued to play a few rounds of games. Although the results were not very good, they had a lot of fun playing.
"Miss Wen, Master Lu, were you two kicked out by the boss?" Linda asked jokingly when she came to get some water. She had just seen that the two people were kicked out by the boss.
"No, we both felt it was too quiet in there, so we came out on purpose." Wen Ning looked at the teasing smile on Linda's face, pretended to be calm, and said stiffly with some discomfort.
Linda raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced by Wen Ning's words. The teasing in her eyes intensified. "Oh? Really? Then you're really weird. You actually thought it was too quiet inside and came out on purpose."
Wen Ning felt awkward after hearing what she said, unsure how to respond. She knew her excuse sounded far-fetched, but she didn't want to admit she was kicked out. It was all Lu Shiyan's fault. Why was he being so serious? He had to kick her out. Now, it would spread throughout the company that she had fallen out of favor and was kicked out. The thought of this made her feel like the sky was falling. She was the eldest daughter of the Wen family, and being kicked out by him was so humiliating.
At that moment, Ye Jingyun happened to walk out of the office and into the tea room. She happened to overhear the conversation between Wen Ning and Linda, and a slight smile appeared on her lips, her tone tinged with sarcasm: "Oh, some people, they were clearly kicked out, yet they have to speak so noblely."
Wen Ning was somewhat displeased when he heard her harsh words. He glared at her and retorted, "None of your business!"
Linda didn't dare to speak at the side. The originally good atmosphere was disrupted by Ye Jingyun's appearance. Everyone knew that Ye Jingyun's popularity was not very good. During the time she was here, she successfully offended many people. It would be strange if she could get along well.
Seeing her embarrassed and annoyed look, Ye Jingyun felt more and more cheerful. He couldn't help but continue to laugh and said, "Oh, it's none of my business. It's just that the fact that someone was kicked out is so obvious."
Lu Shili frowned unhappily, feeling somewhat dissatisfied. He felt that Miss Ye's words were a bit too much, clearly trying to drive a wedge between his brother and Sister Ning. Sister Ning had always been kind to him, and he liked her, too. So, he decided to explain the truth of the matter to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and Sister Ning falling into her trap.
"Ms. Ye, you may have misunderstood the situation. Sister Ning was not kicked out by my brother, they were just joking." Lu Shili tried his best to make his tone sound calm, but there was still a hint of displeasure.
He knew that Sister Ning and his brother had a very good relationship. The way they had just acted was clearly not angry, but rather playful. If they were truly angry, Sister Ning wouldn't have played a few games with him. Sister Ning's being "kicked" out of the room was just a joke between them. If Miss Ye spread this, it might lead to misunderstandings about the relationship between his brother and Sister Ning, and even affect their relationship. Therefore, Lu Shili had to clear up this misunderstanding.
Ye Jingyun heard him call her Miss Ye and Wen Ningning "Sister". This made it very clear that they were close and distant, which made her angry. She knew him first and their families had always been in contact. She was also very nice to him, but he didn't call her "Sister Yun" and instead called her "Sister Ning". She was really angry. What made her even more angry was that he actually spoke up for her and defended her. This made her feel that all her flattery over the years was a joke. She couldn't help but say coldly: "Xiao Li, you are still young and don't understand the relationship."
"I'm young, not a fool." Lu Shili said unhappily. He had clearly explained it, why did she still take it so seriously? It was so annoying.
The scene was a little weird for a while. Wen Ning looked at the little brat speaking up for him, and then looked at Ye Jingyun's furious expression, and he couldn't help but feel happier. It was worth it for him to keep him. It seemed that in the future he could reluctantly say a few good words for his brother when he bullied him.
She glared at Ye Jingyun: Oh, little guy, always trying to sow discord, does she think she is an idiot? She will be torn to pieces with just a few words, so childish, always like this trick.
Ye Jingyun also glared back. She had been dissatisfied with her for a long time. She was so annoying. She had her own company to work for, but she had to come here and be an eyesore. How could she be so short-sighted?
"Miss Ye, be careful or your eyes might fall out." Wen Ning kindly reminded her when he saw her staring at him.
"What do you care?" Ye Jingyun retorted.
"What are you standing there for? Why aren't you going back? How long do you want to fight?" Lu Shiyan finished his work in the office and saw that no one had returned yet. He couldn't help but feel a little helpless. Did these two people here really not know why he kicked them out? They even glared at him and started playing outside? So, he opened the door and came out to see a few people standing there in a strange atmosphere. He spoke without thinking.
Wen Ning smiled as he saw him coming out. He immediately went over and took his hand. "Didn't you just kick me out? Why are you asking me to go back now?"
She deliberately emphasized the tone of the word "hurry".
Lu Shiyan just looked at her, his eyes slightly narrowed, and said in a light tone: "You don't know why I "drove" you out? Huh?"
"I'm stupid and don't know. You just chased me away." Wen Ning pretended to be stupid and didn't say anything. The real owner was here, and today, she had to make him say it in person, so that Ye Jingyun, this woman, wouldn't always show off.
"Don't play dumb. Go back and I won't come out. You don't know how to go back, right?" Lu Shiyan ignored her little plan and tapped her head, speaking in a doting tone.
Wen Ning felt pain and glared at him, "Hmph, don't hit me."
"You won't learn your lesson without a beating. Go back and don't play with me anymore. If you play again, I'll beat you." Lu Shiyan threatened, and then he took the man away without caring what happened here.
"Oh." Wen Ning responded in a very good mood, and under the gaze of several people, he followed Lu Shiyan.
