Wen Ning was delighted by her brother's thoughtfulness. She had just been wondering how to get him to leave first, but he had gone without a word, sending her a text message. For the first time, she felt her brother was truly trustworthy.
Lu Shiyan personally escorted Wen Ning back home. They soon reached the entrance of the villa. He handed her the gift he had brought from home and said, "Go back."
"Are you really giving this to me?" Wen Ning asked with a smile, holding up the thing in his hand.
Lu Shiyan's eyes fell on the object in her hand, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, his eyes filled with a hint of ridicule and playfulness. He whispered, "You accepted the gift as a wife, and you still want to deny it?"
Wen Ning smiled softly, a sly glint in his eyes. "Hmph, I'll accept the gift, but I won't be returning it. Once given, there are no returns. Have you thought this through?"
Lu Shiyan laughed, his laughter full of doting. He reached out and pinched her cheek, saying gently, "Okay, I won't give up. I won't give up forever. This is all yours."
Wen Ning felt a little embarrassed by his actions. She lowered her head, a blush spreading across her face. She said softly, "That's good. Anyway, I can't give away my things. I can't give them away if they don't want me."
Lu Shiyan looked at her shy expression, his heart filled with joy. He gently stroked her hair and said, "Oh, someone accepted my gift, so you can't refuse it." His tone was a little overbearing, but it also made people feel extremely reassured.
Wen Ning raised his head, looked him in the eyes, and said with a hint of threat in his tone, "Hmph, if you treat me badly, I won't let you succeed. You'd better behave yourself."
"Oh, no, I won't give you this chance."
"You'd better keep your word."
