"Fang Yin, someone's looking for you." Fang Yin was about to go to the locker room to change before leaving work when she heard a colleague calling out. She looked up in confusion, wondering who could be looking for her.
"Who is it?" she asked, puzzled. Truthfully, in all her time working here, she'd never encountered anyone coming to her in person. Usually, if someone needed her services, they would simply call her in the private room to bring them drinks.
"A woman, I don't know her either." The colleague tilted his head and thought for a while, frowning slightly, as if trying hard to recall the woman's appearance, but finally shook his head, indicating that he did not know the other party's identity and purpose.
"Oh." Fang Yin said lightly. She couldn't figure out who was looking for her, but it didn't matter. She probably thought it was just another guy's girlfriend. She was used to it. These guys were always looking for someone else when they already had someone else. They were the worst of the worst. And yet, they didn't open their eyes, and in the end, they had to come and cause trouble for her. It was a real headache for her. She couldn't avoid it anyway, so she just let it go.
Seeing her expression, her colleagues knew what she was thinking. In their line of work, all kinds of troubles arose; they all encountered them more or less. She patted her shoulder sympathetically and comforted her, "Don't overthink it. From what I've seen, that woman seems to have really only come to see you, unlike those other women before."
Fang Yin glanced at her, knowing that she was comforting herself, and pulled the corners of her mouth into an ugly smile, "Okay, I understand, I'll go there later."
"Well, come over after you change your clothes. I have something else to do, so I have to go to work first." The colleague pointed to the door and went out.
"Okay, I'll go after I change." Fang Yin looked at her back and replied.
As her colleagues left, the room suddenly became quiet. Fang Yin stood there quietly, staring at the clothes in her hands, as if thinking about something. After a while, she sighed, turned and walked into the locker room to change out of her work clothes.
In the locker room, Fang Yin skillfully took off her work clothes and put on casual clothes. Then she casually tidied her clothes and went out.
Along the way, she kept thinking about various possible scenarios. The thought of having to fight someone after work made her feel a little nervous. As she walked, she thought about her response strategy and silently prayed that there would be no conflict.
When she walked into the place her colleague mentioned, she saw a familiar figure sitting there. The figure made her feel stunned, and she stopped involuntarily and stood there without moving.
"How could it be her..." she murmured to herself, her heart full of confusion and surprise.
Was I seeing things? Or was she really here to see me? This thought left her a bit dazed. She glanced around uncertainly, but she was the only woman sitting there. It didn't make sense. It seemed like she had nothing to do with her boyfriend, right? A man like her boyfriend wouldn't look down on her, would he? Her mind raced, desperately trying to recall where she had offended her. Or had she figured it out? Was she here to settle a score for her best friend?
Wen Ning had no idea Fang Yin was standing behind her. In just a short moment, she had completely changed her mind. She looked around and saw most of the men having fun. She couldn't help but wonder how a young girl like her could work in such a working environment. She didn't have any discrimination, it was just that society was like that. There were all kinds of people and all kinds of environments. Everyone's circumstances were different. She couldn't think that just because she was better off in her spiritual body, others should be as well. After all, all living things suffer. Some people spend money lavishly, while others kneel down to pick up small change. She withdrew her gaze and stopped looking at them. She raised her watch to check the time, then put it down and continued to wait.
Perhaps she noticed someone staring at her from behind, so she turned around and saw her standing there staring at her. When she saw the person, she immediately smiled and waved at her: "Hi."
It was this unexpected smile that froze Fang Yin. This was the first time someone had greeted her with such a bright smile since she had been in Jinghua for so long. She was dazzled. There was a time when she had also greeted people so brightly. But, in such a short time, she had become somewhat numb and had lost her passion for life.
"Hmm? What are you thinking about? Are you off work?" Seeing that she didn't respond, Wen Ning walked over and greeted her.
Fang Yin was distracted, and suddenly turned around and greeted her in a panic, "Miss Wen, are you looking for me?"
"Well, really? Is there anyone else waiting for you here besides me?" Wen Ning glanced around casually and replied.
"Oh, no, I thought I was seeing things." Fang Yin explained quickly. To be honest, she never thought that she would come to find her.
"Can we go now? Let's go eat nearby," Wen Ning asked. After all, this place wasn't the right place for chatting. Besides, who wants to talk at work after work? After work, he probably wants to get away from work like crazy, not wanting to see anyone else.
"Yeah, sure," Fang Yin replied quickly. Then the two of them walked out side by side. Wen Ning didn't even ask what she wanted to eat. After getting in the car, he took her directly to a famous restaurant nearby.
"Look, what else do you want to eat?" Wen Ning ordered a few dishes and handed her the menu.
"No, I'm fine with anything, just order." Fang Yin declined without even glancing at the menu. Such a luxurious place, obviously expensive at first glance, how could she dare order anything?
Wen Ning glanced at her and knew that she was reserved, so he didn't force her. He asked the waiter to add two more dishes and then sent someone downstairs to prepare the food.
After ordering the dishes, she looked at the person in front of her holding the water glass nervously, and couldn't help but smile lightly: "Don't be nervous, I'm just treating you to a meal."
If she hadn't told me that day, I wouldn't be able to invite her to dinner here so calmly now.
"Oh, I'm not nervous. Actually, you don't have to treat me to a meal. If you have anything to say, you can just find a place to talk." Fang Yin said a little nervously. She felt that treating her to a meal was too expensive.
Wen Ning spun his cup around, then said solemnly, "Perhaps you don't feel the need to thank me, but I still want to express my sincere gratitude."
