Wen Ning was sitting there bored, head down, fiddling with his fingers absentmindedly.
She suddenly heard her father's voice. Like a thunderclap, it shattered her reverie and made her look up in astonishment. She followed her father's gaze, but unexpectedly, it met someone else's.
Before Wen Ning could refuse, Lu Shiyan spoke up, "Then I'll trouble you, Miss Wen."
It was too late for Wen Ning to refuse, so she had no choice but to step forward and escort the man out. Dad was such a jerk! She hadn't even figured out how to confront him yet. "No, that's all I am. I just had some unexpected events." Wen Ning swallowed and continued, "I didn't feel well this week, so I rested at home."
"When are you going to work?" Lu Shiyan didn't know whether he believed it or not. In any case, he didn't hold on to the question, but asked another question.

"Where's your car?" Wen Ning looked around but didn't see any car.
"I'll be there soon." Lu Shiyan replied.
"Otherwise, I'll take you home. I'm a pretty good driver," Wen Ning said with amusement. She was a fantastic driver. Furthermore, she felt that her relationship with him had become even closer because of that unbroken layer of paper.
"You'll take me back? And then I'll take you back?" Lu Shiyan said with a smile.
"That's not necessary. I know the way." Wen Ning said with his head slightly lowered.
"Forget it, I have a car, so I don't need you to send me. If you send me, I will have to worry about you driving back alone."
"There's nothing to worry about. I'm very familiar with this road." Wen Ning said proudly.
"My car is here, go back quickly."
"Oh." Wen Ning reluctantly turned back when she saw the car finally arrived. Lu Shiyan stared at her back until she reached the door, then he slowly withdrew his gaze. Then he got in the car and left.
