Lu Shiyan returned from the meeting and just as he entered the room, he saw Wen Ning propping up his chin and looking at him with a smirk on his face. Lu Shiyan paused, then walked in calmly.
Wen Ning curled his lips, what a pretentious person he was.
Saturday arrived in a blink of an eye. This was also their first official date after becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. Before she agreed, she had not thought that she would attend as a girlfriend. Unexpectedly, the change was so fast, and in an instant, they became girlfriends.
The corners of her mouth were more curved than the moon today. She took this date very seriously. It was her first date, so she had to leave a good impression, right?
So she got up early in the morning, rummaged through the drawers, and finally picked out her favorite light blue long skirt from the closet. She preferred blue. She felt that wearing blue clothes was like embracing spring, fresh and joyful.
After changing her clothes, she put on some light makeup. She had put on heavy makeup at the last party, but for this date, she wanted to wear light makeup to create the image of a good girl. She didn't believe that this wouldn't make his heart beat faster.
After she finished her work, she went downstairs to wait for him. As soon as she arrived in the living room, she saw Wen Heng's expression, as if he had almost choked to death. After coughing for a while, Wen Heng put the cup on the table and jokingly said, "Hey, my dear sister, what's wrong with you? Going to Tianshang Renjian to find someone of questionable character again?"
He narrowed his eyes slightly, revealing a dangerous look, as if he was going to break her legs if she dared to go.
Wen Ning rolled her eyes speechlessly as she walked down the stairs, dissatisfied: "Hey, someone can go by himself, but I can't? What a double standard! Mom, I saw your son looking for a hostess last time." Wen Ning was dissatisfied and immediately complained to her mother.
"Don't spit blood." Wen Heng quickly defended himself in the face of his mother's death stare. "Damn girl, she's talking nonsense all day long, slandering him at will. Does she really think he's dead? She even slanders him to his face."
"You're slandering me, so why can't I?" Wen Ning snorted coldly, huddled next to his mother and said angrily.
"When did I wrong you? Then tell me, why are you dressed so fancy?" Wen Heng retorted.
He just couldn't believe it. Could she stay at home obediently? Every time she dressed like this, he would catch her outside.
"Is it none of your business? I'm naturally beautiful, so I'm always beautiful," Wen Ning said confidently.
"Heh." Wen Heng snorted coldly.
"Wen Heng, what do you mean? What's that look in your eyes? Do you dislike me?" Wen Ning was immediately enraged by his disdainful look. The rage in her heart instantly rose, making her face extremely ugly. She glared at the man in front of her with wide eyes, her eyes flashing with anger and unwillingness.
She dressed up carefully, thinking she looked her best, and expected her brother to praise her. However, he actually despised her and thought she looked ugly. This was undoubtedly a huge blow to her, leaving her feeling extremely humiliated and angry.
However, facing her questioning, Wen Heng did not feel the slightest bit of guilt. Instead, the corners of his mouth rose slightly, and he said bluntly, "Right, you guessed right."
"Wen Heng, you old man, prepare to die." Wen Ning couldn't stand this anger. She immediately wanted to go over her mother and beat him up. If she didn't beat him up, she wouldn't be able to vent her anger today. He really pissed her off. Did he have to live a normal life without getting mad at her for a day?
Mother Wen restrained her daughter who was about to make a move. She was really having a headache. They were almost sixty years old, and why were they always shouting and killing at home? It was really giving her a headache. If this got out, she would be laughed to death.
"Ningning, don't do that." Mother Wen stopped her.
"Mom, your son is bullying me," Wen Ning complained to his mother. "Let me go! If I don't beat him to a pulp today, I'm not Wen."
Wen Heng also provoked from the side: "I'm afraid you will have to change your surname today."
Wen Ning immediately exploded with rage again, struggling to go over and hit him. He deserved a beating so much that it would be unreasonable for her not to hit him.
When Wen's mother saw her son's annoying expression, she felt like she had eaten shit. Other people's sons were mature and steady, but her son was either bullying his sister or teasing her on the way home. Others at his age had already started families and careers, but he was just arguing and quarreling with his sister. It was really terrible.
She couldn't help but warn him, "Wen Heng, if you continue to act like a troublemaker, I'll let your dad take care of you too."
"Mom, it was clearly her who provoked me first." Wen Heng was also unhappy.
"You are the older brother, so what's wrong with giving way to your younger sister? How old are you?" Wen's mother said bluntly.
"What's wrong with me being the older brother? I'm the older brother, shouldn't I have some privileges? She doesn't even treat me as her brother. I guess she wants to be my big sister." Wen Heng said dissatisfiedly.
"You want privileges? I'll give you meat stewed with rattan sticks, do you want it?" Wen's mother said angrily.
Wen Heng didn't say anything. If his mother got angry, she would really give him a beating.
Seeing that he was obedient, Wen's mother pulled her daughter to sit down. She didn't understand where a girl got the strength from, so strong that she couldn't be restrained.
"Don't bother with your brother. You're dressed so beautifully, what if you get it messed up?" Mom consoled him, "Come, sit down. Don't be angry with him. He's just like you and your dad, a straight man."
"Hmph." Wen Ning snorted at him and sat down next to his mother.
"Who are you going to meet when you're dressed up so beautifully?" Mother Wen asked gently. It was rare for her to see her little daughter like this. She usually didn't bother to dress up, just did whatever she wanted. She could tell from the first glance at her makeup today that she had put a lot of thought into it. It looked like a young girl in love. She had heard from her aunt that she had gotten up so early in the morning to get dressed, so she must be in love.
"Who can you go to see? It must be because the cabbages in your house have been eaten by pigs." Before Wen Ning could say anything, Wen Heng said coldly from the side.
Wen Ning glanced at him sideways, stopped talking, and just stared at him.
Mother Wen also looked at her son with some blame: "Shut up and don't make trouble for me. Otherwise, I will deal with you first."
"If she was cheated, don't look for me." Wen Heng said with a pout.
"She has been deceived. I will be the first one to not forgive you." Wen's mother warned.
Wen Heng was so aggrieved that he didn't say anything. It was really hard for him. He was scolded for speaking, and even when he was right, he was still scolded. Life was unbearable. He was completely oppressed by Wen Ning.
He simply shut up and stopped talking. He wanted to see what lies Wen Ning would say.
"Whose boy is this? When did it start? Do you know him? Bring him home so I can take a look. I'll check it out for you." Seeing that her son had stopped making trouble, Wen's mother asked her daughter with a smile, trying to get the identity out of her daughter.
Wen Ning couldn't help but laugh at her mother's way of trying to get answers, but she felt there was nothing to hide, so she said, "Lu Shiyan."
The living room was quiet for a while, and Wen Heng was the first to laugh out loud, "Wen Ning, if you're going to lie, make it up."
