Extra 5 Mom, it's my uncle

"Mom, what are we eating tonight?" An An, who had just returned home from school, had not yet put down her schoolbag. She pulled her mother's trouser legs like a happy little bird, raised her head, blinked her big eyes full of curiosity and expectation, and tightly clinged to her mother to ask about dinner tonight.

At this time, Kang Kang, who was standing aside, interrupted with a smug look on his face and said, "Stupid, of course it's braised pork ribs!" As he spoke, he made a naughty face at An An.

"You are the stupid one, Mom. My brother called me stupid." An An pointed at Kang Kang and complained to her mother angrily.

"You are just stupid. Today the teacher asked you what 2+7 equals, and you didn't know. How can you be stupid?" Kang Kang also complained to his mother.

Wen Ning had a headache. When these two twins were well behaved, they were so adorable. But when they were making a fuss, he really wanted to throw them into the Pacific Ocean to get some peace and quiet.

"Stop arguing and go home." Wen Ning stopped the two of them and pulled them inside.

After changing into her shoes, An An skipped into the living room like a cheerful little rabbit. Just then, her bright eyes caught sight of a strange yet familiar figure on the sofa. The figure sat quietly with their back to them, seemingly lost in their own world.

An An pulled the corner of her mother's clothes with curiosity, and asked in a clear voice: "Mom, someone came to our house!" Her mother looked in the direction of An An's finger, with a hint of surprise and joy on her face.

At this moment, the man sitting on the sofa seemed to have heard something and slowly turned around. His face was filled with a bright smile, and his eyes revealed the joy of reunion after a long separation. He waved enthusiastically to An An and the others and shouted loudly: "Hi, sister-in-law, I'm back!"

This shout instantly broke the silence in the house. An An and Kang Kang looked at each other, and they both shouted excitedly almost at the same time: "Mom, it's uncle!" Then, they ran towards the sofa like wild horses.

The two of them swiftly climbed onto the sofa and climbed on top of him.

"Uncle, is it really you?"

"Uncle, are you back?"

The two of them touched here and looked there in surprise. The uncle they had met on the phone actually looked like this.

"Yeah, I'm back." Lu Shili responded enthusiastically, looking at their excited expressions. "Uncle missed you, so he came to see you as soon as he got off the plane."

"Uncle, uncle, is it fun outside?"

"Uncle, is the food outside delicious?"

"Uncle, are there aliens out there?"

"Uncle, is Snow White out there?"

The two little guys were like two chirping sparrows, circling around Lu Shili non-stop, asking all kinds of strange questions. This series of questions bombarded Lu Shili like a cannon of bullets, leaving him overwhelmed and unable to respond in time.

Just then, Wen Ning walked over. Seeing Lu Shili flustered by the two children's noise, she couldn't help but smile. Then, with a feigned sternness, she scolded, "Stop it, you two! Uncle just got back and is exhausted from the journey. Stop pestering him with so many questions."

However, Lu Shili quickly waved his hands and said indifferently: "Sister-in-law, it's really okay, I'm not tired at all, and there's plenty of time to chat with the children." As he spoke, he touched the two children's heads affectionately, his eyes full of tenderness and love.

Wen Ning raised his eyebrows when he heard this, but didn't say anything. He would know soon.

When the two children heard this, they became even more excited and started pestering him with all kinds of random questions. They had a thousand questions in their minds and their mouths were like machine guns, spouting all kinds of weird questions non-stop.

"Uncle, where is the gift you said you brought me?" An An suddenly asked after he had almost finished asking.

Lu Shili finally understood the meaningful look his sister-in-law had just given him. He hadn't expected the child to be so talkative. Seeing that the two had finally stopped asking questions and were asking about the gifts, he quickly handed them the gifts he had brought back from abroad.

An An happily hugged a pile of gifts and found chocolates among them. She couldn't wait to give one to herself and her brother, and also gave one to her mother and uncle.

Lu Shili didn't like this thing at first because it was too sweet, but An An peeled the chocolate and stuffed it into his mouth, so he had to eat it.

"Okay, you can only eat one, no more." Wen Ning couldn't help but remind her when he saw her about to open the chocolate again.

An An pouted and said coquettishly, "Mom, can I have another one? This is a special gift from uncle."

"Even if it's a special gift, it won't work." Wen Ning said ruthlessly.

"Uncle, I want to eat." An An looked pitiful and went to Lu Shili to act like a spoiled child. Lu Shili had never been treated like this before, so he was coaxed and didn't even listen to his sister-in-law. He agreed directly: "Eat, eat, eat. Our little princess wants to eat, so eat. If it's not enough, uncle will buy you some."

"If she gets cavities, I will pull out your teeth first, Lu Shili." Lu Shiyan had just come back from outside and couldn't help but remind her when he heard Lu Shili's words.

Lu Shili paused as he opened the chocolate bar, feeling a bit disappointed. He turned around and glared at his brother, "Brother, why are you still so fierce?"

Lu Shiyan gave him a look of disdain, then walked over to sit next to Wen Ning, looked at the two children and said, "Did Daddy tell you not to eat too much? The doctor said that children are not allowed to eat so much chocolate."

The two children saw their father coming back and they didn't dare to pull Lu Shili to ask for chocolate. They could only stare at the chocolate, swallow their saliva, and then said against their will: "Oh, Dad, I don't want to eat it."

Lu Shili had no choice but to put the chocolate on the table. Lu Shiyan caught a glimpse of his movements and then turned his gaze to him, "Oh, you've matured a lot."

"Thanks to you."

"That's pretty fast. I thought you were going to get married and have kids there in your lifetime."

Lu Shili was furious. His brother was still so sharp-tongued.

"Oh, your plan has failed."

"Well, it's okay."

Lu Shili ate a meal here and then left angrily. However, Lu's mother missed her children and since her youngest son had returned, she asked them to stay in the old house for a few days.

Wen Ning and the others had no objection. They usually lived in the old house anyway, but they mostly lived in the Plum Garden.

After the family returned, the old house became more lively.
