Chapter 16: The fight begins when the eyes meet
"Finally you're back, Sally. Did you have fun playing outside?"
Philip's expression suddenly became kind, he doted on this youngest son the most.
Looking back at the door, the person who came in had red lips and a pink face (crossed out). Although the wording was a bit wrong, the person who came in was a man, or a young man, who could be described as "seductive".
Different from the brown hair inherited from the Bed family, the boy named Sally has silver hair as white as the crescent moon, which is simply tied into a ponytail at the back of his head. He looks smart and capable. His travel clothes are also quite exquisite, revealing the tiredness of a traveler. He looks like a handsome boy.
The prerequisite is to ignore his soft facial features and 1.6-meter height.
It would not be appropriate to say that he is a sissy because he has a manly spirit, but it would be a waste of his beautiful facial features to say that he is a tough guy, so he can only be regarded as a feminine and handsome boy.
The more Philip looked at the child, the more he liked him. The child had perfectly inherited the beauty of his deceased mother and the amazing wisdom passed down from the Bed family. At a young age, he had his own unique insights on business and could even lead a caravan on his own. No matter how you looked at it, he was the best candidate to inherit the Bed family.
Too bad he's an illegitimate child.
He was the child of Earl Philip and Pingmin, and was taken to the Bedard family only after his biological mother died five years ago.
Out of a sense of indebtedness to his mother, Philip always subconsciously favored Sally, but he did not expect that this would cause Sally to be treated with hostility by his two brothers, and even the servants privately had a bad impression of him.
So after his coming-of-age ceremony, Sally often traveled outside for business and seldom went home. As a result, he really built up a caravan with good performance.
"How much did you earn this time? Come and share your joy with your father," Philip greeted enthusiastically.
"Nothing, same as usual," Sally stood on tiptoe to hang his coat on the hanger and noticed the report on the table. "I heard something strange happened in that underground city. Has father finished exploring it?"
"Haha, I'm afraid it's going to be difficult this time," Philip laughed and pushed a thick stack of reports to Philip. "Here are the reports from the experts and adventurers we invited, as well as some scattered intelligence. Take a look and help me plan how to chew this hard bone."
"Is it really as dangerous as the rumors say?"
Sally picked up the report and started reading it. The corners of her mouth that were raised before gradually flattened. Finally, she put the report down expressionlessly, still frowning slightly.
Seeing Sally, who was as smart as himself, showing this expression, Philip actually felt a little happy. After all, he didn't want to be the only one suffering from the headache.
"How is it? Is it difficult? I don't know where to start."
“It’s definitely different from what I imagined.”
Sally stroked the jewelry ring on his right hand, frowned and said, "It's too simple."
"What?" Philip suspected he had heard it wrong. "Too easy?"
His intuition told him that his son seemed to have a way to break the impasse.
"Remember the letter I wrote to you, father, saying that I had made some friends on my journey and wanted to bring them home to visit us,"
"Maybe your friend can?"
"Yes, I haven't told you their identities yet,"
Sally smiled slightly, showing a look of confidence.
"It's the [Brave],"
"A-choo——"
Gong Qiying sneezed suddenly, scratched his head, and said to himself: "Can zombies catch a cold?"
He stared at the crystal ball intently, and observing how the adventurers passed the levels had become his favorite program. No TV program in his previous life was as interesting as this.
There are always some magical beings among the adventurers, who pass the levels in whimsical ways.
Someone used a flying pet to light the beacon instead of himself, and unlocked the fortress gate without suffering any damage.
Someone used some magic to transform into a murloc and blended into the group of monsters. However, after lighting two beacons, he was surrounded by murlocs. Only then did he realize that he had turned into a female murloc, while all the murlocs in the dungeon were male.
As a result, the adventurer, unable to bear the humiliation, committed suicide.
Someone discovered that when a skeleton monster falls apart, two situations occur. Some always fall to the ground with the front of the skull, and some always fall to the ground with the back of the skull. By combining the two, you get a perpetual motion machine!
As a result, the speed was too fast and the soul fire in the skull was extinguished, and the skeleton monster died.
In addition to these fancy tricks, there is another type of people who will never be absent - the violent passers-by.
The most typical one is an adventurer with some giant bloodline. This berserker, who is about three meters tall, drank a bottle of rage potion and carried two axes to chop all the way from the portal to the entrance of the fortress. He chopped the gate frantically like a madman and almost broke through violently. Gong Qiying was so scared that he was considering whether to pull the Furnace Knight over to meet him.
In the end, it was the heroic army of cursed frogs that defeated him with the death spray.
The curse frog is truly the greatest creature in the world, hands clasped together.
"We should add more monsters with instant kill mechanisms. Violent players are too scary."
Gong Qiying's eyes turned, and after seeing a certain scene, he suddenly exclaimed "Huh".
"What the hell is this guy doing?"
The figure in the picture looked familiar, with a thin body, pale face, and exquisite clothes. It was none other than Wilder.
"This guy is not dead yet," Gong Qiying remembered him. He originally thought that he was just a stereotypical arrogant and small-time playboy, but he didn't expect that he was still alive until now. He had entered the dungeon as soon as it opened, and now it's almost closed, but he hasn't died yet and got out?
It was not surprising that a young man had survived until now. What surprised Gong Qiying was the thing in his hand. It was round and red and white.
Isn't that a Poké Ball?
"I remember hiding the Poké Ball in a very secluded bush. There are Bulbasaur guarding it. How could he possibly get it?"
Well, the Poké Ball is nothing, you can get it if you are lucky, but -
"Go Pikachu, use Discharge!"
Wilder put one hand on his waist and threw the Poké Ball at the zombie soldiers wandering not far away, posing in a somewhat coquettish manner.
The next second, there was a flash of light, and a Pikachu really jumped out of the ball!
"Pika Pika-chu!"
Yellow electric light leaped out and instantly roasted the zombie soldier until he was charred on the outside and tender on the inside. He fell to the ground with a thud, deader than dead.
"Well done Pikachu, you are worthy of being my partner!"
"Pickup truck,"
Although Wilder looked excited, Pikachu ignored him and jumped directly on top of his head.
"No, there's no way he could possibly capture Pikachu. He can't win no matter how you look at it."
Gong Qiying didn't know what the problem was. He thought that the Pokémon would be captured by adventurers, but he didn't expect that it would be captured by a powerless young man.
Could it be that Wilder is a one-shot superhero who can capture Pokémon even when he is at full health?
Moreover, once a Pikachu is captured, it can cooperate with the other party in battle. This level of tacit understanding makes it feel that even if Pikachu is killed in the next second, it can still stand up to avoid making the trainer sad.
"This guy is a good candidate, especially in terms of training Pokémon."
Gong Qiying suddenly also wanted to fight Wilder.
