Chapter 69: Forming an Exploration Team
Finally, Stellan slipped out the back door quietly.
The nun said that there was a room full of people waiting for her, and many were even rushing over here. It was a scary scene.
Even though these people were well-intentioned, Stellan still couldn't handle such a big occasion. She spoke to the nun and asked her to help convey her gratitude to everyone.
She also paid the resurrection fee herself and asked the nun to return the money to the adventurer, so as not to let others spend money on her.
Damn it, have I helped so many people? It's only been a few days!
Stellan put on a cloak and a hood to cover her face, and walked home, enduring the occasional pain in her head.
A group of familiar-looking people passed by her on the street, and she clearly heard what they said:
"I heard that Stellan is in the Resurrection House now. I'm very interested in her. Maybe we can get her into our strategy team," said a handsome blond man, Leon.
"Eh~" Malu said in a long tone: "Then I hope she has the attributes of a queen, or a girl is fine, anyway, don't conflict with the attributes of the cute one."
"Stop joking. I heard that Stellan has a team and it's quite famous," Drew said calmly. He actually came back from the Magic Association?
"Then take it away," Ter's suggestion was simple and crude.
Stellan broke out in a cold sweat after hearing this, and she quickened her pace.
She has been staying in the dungeon these days, and has not had any contact with the outside world except for revealing some information in the guild, so.
She had no idea that she had become a much discussed character these days.
How come it attracted the attention of the strategy team!
When she hurried home, she suddenly had a bad feeling. When she looked again, she saw an unfamiliar young man standing at her door. It was obvious that he was waiting for her.
Stellan turned and left, but it was too late. The other party had already spotted her and ran over to her, shouting:
"Ms. Stellan, please wait a moment, wait a moment, I am from the Adventurer's Guild!"
"From the guild?"
Stellan finally stopped and asked, "What does the guild want me to do? Do you want me to confirm the information? But I really can't remember the map."
"No, no,"
The guild staff waved their hands and said, "Did you encounter demons in the dungeon yesterday?"
Yesterday? So a day had passed already. Stellan finally realized how long she had slept in the Resurrection House.
Since becoming the sun, in addition to mental fatigue, she did develop a sleepiness problem.
"Yes, I did."
The staff member asked nervously: "What about them?"
Stellan spread her hands and said, "He's dead."
"Ah!?" The staff looked at her with respect. "You, you killed them all by yourself?"
"Uh," Stellan scratched her head, "The situation is a bit complicated. Can we talk about it tomorrow? I have a headache right now."
"Don't worry, Mr. Cid has personally prepared a magic ritual to calm you down. I came all the way to see you," the staff member said with a smile. "Also, Mr. Cid wants to talk to you about the demons. The two adventurers you saved from the demons are also in the guild now."
The adventurer I saved?
She never saw what Barron and Sally looked like from beginning to end. These two people hid themselves too well.
My head started to hurt again. Just lying at home would only help the pain pass with time. I might as well look forward to the magic ceremony of the West German branch president.
So after a while, Stellan came to the Adventurer's Guild and went directly to the third floor under the guidance of the staff.
The third floor can only be used when discussing important matters.
"Knock, knock, knock," the staff knocked on the wooden door and said, "Mr. Sid, Miss Stellan is here."
"Come in,"
Stellan walked into the conference room and immediately saw Sid sitting at the end of the long table.
A majestic old man, and very powerful, this was her first impression.
If anything, she thought the West German chapter leader could defeat the Crucible Knight.
It’s strange, how come the Crucible Knight has become a combat unit.
This was her first time meeting Sid. Even when she came to the guild to disclose information about the bonfire and the Sun Altar, she had not met this big shot.
Sid was the only one in the meeting room, and the two adventurers mentioned earlier were not there either. Stellan hesitated, sat down at the side of the long table, and asked:
"What does the West German branch president want to see me about?"
"Just sit there and don't move,"
Sid said something ambiguous, and just as Stellan was puzzled, she suddenly felt a huge amount of magic power rising from Sid's body, turning into several tributaries and merging into the floor.
Something has been awakened!
Layer upon layer of complex magic circles suddenly lit up from under her feet, one ring after another, and the magic runes flashed one after another, even floating in the air and surrounding her.
Stellan felt a little uneasy, but then a warmth flowed out from the magic circle and reached the deepest part of her mind, making her relax and her headache disappeared in an instant.
So this is the magic ritual for calming the nerves that person mentioned. It is really effective.
This magic ceremony lasted for nearly half an hour and completely cured Stellan of her mental fatigue.
Sid waited calmly on the side. In terms of concentration, he was still an old man. He didn't feel tired even if he sat there motionless for a whole day.
Soon after, the magic circle dissipated. Stellan stretched and said with renewed energy, "Thank you very much, President of the West German Branch!"
"Just call me sir,"
Sid got straight to the point and said, "I hope you can tell me in detail what happened after you encountered the demons. I have heard about the previous events from the two adventurers you rescued."
So what were the names and what did the two people I saved look like? I didn't even see them.
Stellan told the whole story, but she hid one thing - she was beheaded twice by the Crucible Knight, which was too embarrassing to talk about.
After hearing this, Sid fell into deep thought. After a moment, he put down his raised left leg and asked:
"Have you ever seen those adventurers who died at the hands of the demons?"
"?"
A question mark popped up in Stellan's head. She had just been resurrected, where could she go to meet them? Besides, she didn't know them.
Sid laughed at himself and said, "I'm sorry, I'm too impatient, but the situation forces me to be anxious."
"What's the situation?" Stellan couldn't help asking.
"Demons," Sid raised a finger. "We originally thought that the demons had infiltrated the continent to a very low degree, but now even Bed City has traces of them, which means..."
He slowly raised his second finger, then his third, then his fourth.
Stellan was getting anxious. "What should we do? Gather people to encircle and suppress the demons?"
"If we can't find it, how can we talk about encirclement and suppression?"
Sid shook his head and said, "The reason I asked you to come here this time is actually for another matter. You mentioned in your previous report that you were able to transform into a Sun Warrior because you obtained a prop at a certain altar, right?"
Stellan nodded.
"I have formed an exploration team and will soon go deep into the underground city of Thane to look for the altar you mentioned. I wonder if I can invite you to join?"
Miss Elf was surprised and asked, "Are you going too?"
"Of course not," Sid smiled, "but I found a partner for you who can definitely be called an elite."
The transition chapter is about to end, and the main storyline will follow.
Including but not limited to: the love-hate relationship between adventurers divided into the Sun and Soul Five camps; the adventurers use diligence and wisdom to thwart the conspiracy of the nobles; the peak showdown of Pokémon trainers, go Pikachu, your opponents are Curse Frog and Thunder Wolf Dragon! ?
I'm begging you to catch up. My grades have dropped.
