Even after leaving Zhuli's palace, which was still within the Dragon Palace's sphere of influence, one could occasionally see well-equipped patrolling soldiers, all of whom were strange sea monsters.
These sea monsters weren't particularly powerful, mostly at the Iron Bone Realm, with a few at the Profound Soul Realm. They were all tall and imposing, and some still retained the characteristics of their original forms, making them look somewhat ferocious.
Upon seeing Shen Yunhao emerge from the Seventh Princess's palace, the others did not approach him for questioning. They merely glanced at him indifferently before resuming their patrols.
"..."
Seeing this, Shen Yunhao couldn't help but feel a little worried.
Even these guards recognize me now. What if I leave the Dragon Palace and am discovered?
After thinking about it for a moment, he realized he was overthinking it.
Even if they did recognize him, would they really tie him up?
Shen Yunhao swaggered out of the Dragon Palace, taking in the vast underwater city for the first time.
What first catches the eye are those strange and wonderful buildings, most of which are built in the style of pavilions and towers on land, while a few have a unique underwater style.
There were jellyfish houses that looked like giant mushrooms, emitting a soft glow, and high-rise buildings inlaid with countless colorful seashells, their luster reflecting each other, making Shen Yunhao quite curious about what kind of monsters lived inside.
He was not drawn to the view until a huge "carriage" drove past him.
The carriage was shaped like a giant sea clam, and the horses pulling it... were actually several strong seahorses!
It's important to know that although this place is located on the seabed, it is shrouded in a huge barrier, and there is no seawater flowing into it.
Theoretically speaking, a seahorse without legs shouldn't be able to walk here.
But the few horses in front of Shen Yunhao were suspended in mid-air for some unknown reason, just like... dragons, as if they were born with the ability to fly.
Shen Yunhao was staring in a daze when a little demon suddenly jumped out from the seashell, "Young master, would you like to hire a carriage?"
"..."
Shen Yunhao stared at the green-skinned little demon for a few moments, seemingly trying to figure out what kind of creature it was. After looking for a while without being able to tell, he could only tentatively ask, "What's the price?"
"Wow! That's cheap! Only five spirit stones for half an hour!"
Shen Yunhao's lips twitched.
He didn't know the prices underwater, but on land, that price would be enough to hire a flying beast.
"Okay, this is my first time here, so please show me around..."
Shen Yunhao had no shortage of spirit stones, so he got into the carriage directly.
The "Seahorse Car" slowly drove along the streets of the underwater city. Shen Yunhao looked at the strange sights outside through the semi-transparent walls of the carriage.
Along the streets, all sorts of sea creatures come and go, including scholars with lobster heads but wearing Confucian robes, and women with octopus lower bodies but carrying vegetable baskets.
"I wonder if the Demon Realm of Lizhou is like this too, with monsters everywhere..."
"Young master, are you a human cultivator? Is this your first time visiting our North Sea Dragon City?" The green-skinned coachman said enthusiastically as he drove the seahorse. "It's much more fun here than on land!"
"Hmm? You've been to land before?"
"I've never been there... but I've heard other colleagues talk about it..."
"..."
Shen Yunhao stroked his chin, somewhat curious about what the other person meant by "colleague".
Suddenly, he pointed to a tower made of glowing coral in the distance and asked, "What is that place?"
"Young master has a good eye!" the coachman exclaimed excitedly. "That's the most famous 'Coral Pavilion' in the North Sea. The chef there is from the Crimson Flame Shrimp Clan from the East Sea, and his spiritual dishes are absolutely superb!"
"East Sea? Spiritual Cuisine?"
Shen Yunhao suddenly remembered something: since arriving at the Dragon Palace, he hadn't had a proper meal yet.
Although cultivators above the Profound Soul Realm possess the ability to abstain from grains, and eating or not eating doesn't affect their survival, this doesn't diminish their intense curiosity about food.
If we compare the entire experience of the Tianji Continent to a journey that could end suddenly at any time, then tasting the local delicacies is actually a very meaningful thing.
"Let's go there and have a meal first."
“However, young master…” the little demon reminded him, “their household expenses are not low.”
Shen Yunhao nodded without saying anything more.
The Coral Pavilion is even more magnificent than it appears from a distance. The entire building is pieced together from hundreds of different colored corals, emitting a soft, colorful light under the influence of a special array.
At its main gate, two crab demons dressed in light armor stood. When they saw Shen Yunhao getting off the carriage, they suddenly raised their hands to stop him.
"I'm very sorry, but our Coral Pavilion does not welcome humans. Please go elsewhere!" the crab general on the left said expressionlessly.
Shen Yunhao frowned, and was about to say something when the coachman jumped down from the carriage and stepped forward to whisper in the crab demon's ear, "This is a distinguished guest from the Dragon Palace. Can we make a deal?"
The crab demon paused for a moment upon hearing this, then said after thinking for a moment, "Then please wait a moment, young master, while I go ask our boss..."
After the crab demon left, Shen Yunhao turned to the green-skinned little demon beside him and asked, "Do you know why this shop doesn't welcome human cultivators?"
"I heard it's because their boss suffered at the hands of human cultivators on land before..." the little demon said. "But no matter how powerful this boss is, he wouldn't dare offend the Dragon Palace, so you can rest assured, young master!"
Shen Yunhao gave him a deep look but didn't say anything more.
Sure enough, not long after, the crab demon came out and invited Shen Yunhao inside.
The little green goblin stood at the door and waved to Shen Yunhao, "Young Master! I'll wait for you outside!"
Stepping inside, Shen Yunhao was indeed surprised by the interior design of Coral Pavilion.
The tables and chairs were all made from huge, polished seashells, the walls were inlaid with pearls, and the air was filled with a faint scent of seaweed.
Shen Yunhao was led upstairs to a window seat by the waiter, and the menu handed to him was filled with dishes he had never heard of before.
Guided by the waiter, Shen Yunhao ordered a few signature dishes, closed the menu, and looked out over the attic at the view of the underwater city. Unconsciously, he thought of a certain cat in the distance.
"I wonder how the milk tea is doing? That little glutton is always so greedy..."
However, before he could finish his thoughts, a commotion suddenly broke out at the restaurant entrance.
Shen Yunhao looked up and saw a group of tall sea creatures dressed in black scale armor striding in. The man in the lead was nearly two meters tall, with a distinct shark gill pattern on his forehead and eyes like lightning, coldly scanning the restaurant.
When that gaze fell on Shen Yunhao, it clearly paused for a moment, then snorted coldly and walked straight over.
"What a disappointment..."
Shen Yunhao sighed and rubbed his forehead. "I haven't even had a bite yet..."
