Chapter 339 Is there really no chance?

Chapter 339 Is there really no chance?

Haro was strangled by Lyle's neck, and his eyes were about to pop out from his chest. If Lyle used a little more force, the old man would die immediately.

"You're crazy!" Haro recognized Lyle, and then thought about what Lyle had just said, and immediately realized something. He struggled and said, "I didn't touch your son's money, not a penny. I left it all for you..."

Seeing that Harrow's answer was irrelevant, Lyle really wanted to take the old man away on the spot.

But he didn't come to kill Haro after all, so he just kicked the door open behind him and threw Haro in.

After rolling on the ground twice, Haro struggled to get up, but when he looked up, he saw Lyle standing in front of him again. Fearing that Lyle would kill him again, he hurriedly said, "No, no, no, don't do it yet - I can apologize to you! Really, really, I didn't touch a penny of your money, it's all in the cabinet over there."

Lyle strode forward, grabbed Haro by the collar again and lifted him up: "What the hell are you talking to me about?! I'm asking you, where is my son?!"

Haro was a little confused: "Where is your son? Isn't he just staying in the no-man's land?!"

"You're still lying to me!" Lyle punched Haro in the face, knocking out two of his teeth. "You took them away!"

Having said that, Harrow finally understood that Lyle didn't come here for the money.

"I really don't know where your son has gone!" Haro was also furious and said through gritted teeth, "After bringing you out, I have never returned to the no-man's land. How would I know where your son has gone!?"

Never returned to the no man's land?!

Lyle grabbed Harold's collar again: "You're still lying to me! I gave you so much money, and you said you would bring it to my son!"

"Okay, I did lie to you about this, but that's all!" Haro could feel Lyle's anger. He was afraid that he would be beaten to death by Lyle, so he quickly explained, "Except for this little money, I didn't lie to you about anything! As for where your son went, it really has nothing to do with me, and I really don't know."

Seeing that Lyle raised his right hand again, wanting to perform a memory restoration spell on himself again, Harrow quickly added.

"Of course, you can tell me what happened and I'll help you analyze what's going on.

But if you beat me to death, you may never find your son again.

Lyle's body was shaking, especially when he learned that the old man had never returned to the no-man's land in the past five years and that the "contact with home" that he had always been worried about was actually a scam. He really wanted to beat the old man to death on the spot.

But he also knew that what Haro said was right. Beating him to death would be of no use other than venting his anger, so after taking a few deep breaths, he put down his fist.

"Tell me what's going on!" Lyle growled, "If you dare to lie to me again—"

"No, no." Haro shook his head repeatedly. "It has come to this, why would I lie to you?" Beilaier stared at Haro, and then told Haro that the village was empty.

After listening to this, Haro asked cautiously, "Could it be from the Contract Land—

"I saw the black marketeer's logo!" Lyle interrupted Haro rudely, "It's engraved on the door!"

After hearing what Lyle said, Harrow knew that it was indeed the black marketeers who did this.

Black market traders have a habit of leaving marks when they abduct people, giving some families a chance to redeem them with money. It is also a means for peers to identify their identities, meaning that someone has already taken a fancy to this batch of goods.

But for unscrupulous black businessmen, the latter is often just a decoration.

This also made Haro very angry.

Which idiot left a sign in an uninhabited area?

Who could possibly be there? And the whole village had been abducted, so who could afford to redeem them?

Oh, and this one right in front of me.

Damn it, these beasts really made him suffer! If he didn't leave a mark, Harrow could just put the blame on the Contract Land and see if this idiot dared to cause trouble for the Contract Land.

Of course, Haro didn't dare to say these words of resentment, and could only say in a flattering way: "This has nothing to do with me, it must be done by some other blind guy -

"You old liar, you are still lying to me!" Lyle once again cornered Haro, "What did you tell me five years ago?! You told me that black marketeers would never touch people from the no-man's land! Do you remember?!"

"I, of course I remember. But I didn't lie to you!" Haro said, "Generally speaking - no, not generally speaking, this is the rule! Black traders are not allowed to engage in human trafficking in no-man's land, otherwise why would I bother talking to you so much? Wouldn't it be more convenient to kidnap people directly?!"
