End of the volume

End of the volume

After finishing a volume, I will summarize it as usual.

Overall, this volume still follows the original outline, but there are still many problems along the way, which are summarized below.

1. There are too many things I want to write, and they are too complicated to grasp. In fact, I am very satisfied with the various settings of this volume. They are linked together to form a basic logical chain that I think is quite rigorous. The initial setting of this volume also changed from the resistance in the first volume to finding the truth, that is, decryption. But there is a problem, that is, Bai Wei must also be unknown to the truth of ten years ago. Otherwise, if he knows everything, then whether he tells everything to Gerard or just keeps being a riddle man is not a good way to write.

2. The problem of Jellal. Actually, the initial setting of this character was very unique. As the most loyal warrior of Lyra, he needed to find the truth for himself and kill Baiwei at the same time. He must not let Baiwei descend, because in his mind, Baiwei was a more terrifying existence, and Baiwei was to make him fall, and use the truth to lure him closer to himself little by little, and finally complete the descent. But this setting was a bit too idealistic, and my writing skills were not good enough, and there were too many things to write, so I only persisted for a while in the early stage and then gave up, making Jellal's image instantly monotonous.

3. Shaping the worldview. According to an author friend of mine, my ability to construct an entire world is still too weak, so the setting I wanted to give everyone in the early stage, that is, Tianqin was trapped to death by the order, and everyone was acting for the order, was not so deeply rooted in people's minds. So the death of Kud seemed so trivial in the early stage. What I wanted to write was that he was fulfilling his obligations as the last defender of order, so he absolutely could not take Jellal with him. Once he took Jellal with him, he would have violated the order, and there would be no meaning. So I wanted to write a respectable and tragic character, just like the entire Tianqin, but now it seems to have failed.

4. I want to carry out a multi-line narrative with a group of characters. This is similar to the first point. It is too complicated. My writing skills are not up to that level. There are too many characters I want to create, so each character does not get enough ink to write about them, which makes the story look a bit scattered.

These are probably the problems mentioned above. In fact, they can all be attributed to the lack of "writing skills" and "experience". To be honest, this is the first time in all the years I have been writing books that I have a complete outline and then wrote according to the outline. However, many problems cannot be discovered when constructing the outline. Only when I write it out will I be surprised that "it turns out to be like this."

But how should I put it, I gained a lot. I really felt that there are many things to learn and many aspects that can be improved. I am quite happy to feel this.

Then there is the issue of updates, which may be the biggest problem in everyone's opinion.

There are actually both subjective and objective reasons for this. The subjective reason is that I am indeed not such a diligent author (I admit this). Over the years of writing books, I have only updated 10,000 words a day three or four times.

The objective reason is that this book is not easy to write, at least for me. Maybe it is because this book is not written like a traditional online article. In the past, when writing a book, the protagonist just walks straight on a road, meets people, encounters things, and then solves and gains, and then continues to move forward. I have to build a different world in hundreds of thousands of words, with a unique logic, and everyone is serving and acting for this logic. This is really not easy for me.

I am not making excuses. This book directly destroyed my normal sleep and work schedule. After several days and nights of reversal, my sleep and work schedule is now so chaotic that I cannot bear to read it. Every night, no matter what time I go to bed, I will wake up after sleeping for three hours at most, and then I will feel sleepy and tired but cannot fall asleep. Then at noon, I will sleep for more than five hours for a nap, and I still have to set the alarm to wake up. I really want to continue sleeping, but I have to hold on and not fall asleep.

So I plan to take a day off today, stay up all day, and then take some melatonin at night to see if I can sleep through the night.

The above are just some random thoughts, and I will return to this book in the end.

Overall, I am not very satisfied with this volume, but it does not fail either. At least it was written according to my original ideas. If I were to give a score myself, I would probably give it six or seven points.

The focus of the next volume will return to the host. I still like the character of this new host, so I will try my best to write her well. I hope everyone likes the new story.

That's it~
