End of Volume Summary
As the title suggests, let’s also give a summary at the end of the volume.
This volume is probably the best-reviewed of the three volumes on the shelves, which surprised me a little, but not too much. Because in this volume, I abandoned the writing style of the second and third volumes and returned to the writing style of the first volume that closely followed the host. In terms of volume, it is not much different from the first volume, and it can be regarded as a short story.
This also made me identify my biggest problem besides combat, which is that once the world view is expanded and there are more things I want to write, I will lose control. If it was just a simple line, it would be much better.
Let me tell you something that is a bit counterintuitive. The first and fourth volumes, which are currently the most popular, are actually the ones I spent the least time thinking about, while the second and third volumes, which are not so good, are the ones I spent a lot of time thinking about =-=.
As for the first volume, when I started writing it, I had no idea what to write specifically, because the beginning was changed many times, from the original protagonist owning most of the body, to possessing someone else's body and directly killing the host, and then using the host's body to act, to the current version. The three different settings naturally correspond to these three completely different writing methods, and when I started writing this one, I had no idea how to write it, and I was very confused. So there are so many jokes in the early stage of this book, and that's because I didn't know how to write it, so I was prepared to go with the hell joke type.
But as I was writing, I got off track and reached the first climax of the book, when Ulu sacrificed himself to save the little boy. And the sentence that many people like, "He became a flower because he met me", was not something that I had to think about for a long time, as many people think, but was just written casually, or... was it because I was in a good mood?
So many people say that I worked hard on it before putting it online, and then just wrote it casually after it was put online, but in fact it was the other way around =-=
Just like this volume, because I was so exhausted after writing the ending of the previous volume, I didn’t have any ideas for this volume at all. I just started writing with a general idea, and the result is actually quite good?
Of course, it was actually written "biased" because before starting this volume, I chatted with an author friend for a whole night about why the first two volumes were so painful to write, and his advice to me was that I always wanted to write a good host, but good people are often difficult to write, so it would be better to just write a bad guy who does evil things and then gets killed by the protagonist. This would be a lot simpler and wouldn't go wrong.
So at first I wanted Ade to be a pure villain, who gradually remembered everything halfway through, and then found that he could not suppress his beastly instincts no matter what, and finally wanted to kill Bai Wei like he killed Vic, but was killed by Bai Wei. It is indeed very simple to write like this, and there will be no mistakes, but as I wrote, it still became what it is now. Well... I'll leave it to you to judge the specifics.
There aren’t too many twists and turns in this volume, so I won’t make too much of a summary. Let me talk about my future plans.
I wanted to finish it in two more volumes, although the structure of this book is very large, with eight major churches and a contracted land, and writing about one place after another can take another five or six volumes. But I felt that there was no point in writing like this, because this book is different from other books, and there are no clear and straightforward points that can be used repeatedly, such as leveling up, or starting a harem, etc. Most readers read the stories of the hosts I wrote. So if I can't come up with a new story, there is really no point in collecting corpses step by step, and it's a bit of a routine account.
But I don’t want to end it hastily. This is my first successful book on Qidian. I want it to have an ending that is not perfect, but at least not a bad one.
Hmm...so I'll take another day off to think about it.
That's it~
