Chang Wei was arranged to stay in a mountain villa with beautiful scenery, tight security and comfortable environment.
Different from the artificial microgravity and subtle electronic noise on the ship, the quiet and peaceful environment on Earth really made him feel much more relaxed. At least that night he no longer suffered from insomnia and slept very soundly.
When I woke up the next day, it was already noon.
After eating a special breakfast prepared for him by a top chef, he sat leisurely in front of the pond in the pavilion garden and did a tactical fadeaway.
Close your eyes, listen quietly to the melodious birdsong in the forest, smell the faint fragrance of flowers in the air, and you will feel refreshed and very relaxed.
"This is like living like a god! Leisurely and carefree, without having to worry about worldly things. Unfettered, you can squander your time however you want, and no one will force you to do anything you don't want to do."
"So...is this the kind of life that rich people lead when they travel to high-end destinations?"
Although Chang Wei has no travel experience, this kind of life is quite luxurious for him.
You don't have to worry about anything related to the fleet and system tasks, and can wholeheartedly enjoy this lazy and idle time.
"It's really... intoxicating!"
Chang Wei stretched himself out, intending to take a short and comfortable vacation, but things did not go as he wished. Because of his duties, he could not live a simple and ordinary life like ordinary people.
Now that you have made a cool decision, you must fulfill the corresponding promise!
Tuo Xu quietly came to Chang Wei's side, quickly peeled an apple on the coffee table with a butterfly knife, then handed it to him and said, "It's time to get up and work!"
Chang Wei was swaying in his armchair. He took the apple, took a bite, and asked, "Did the fleet find the wormhole?"
"Of course, the location where this wormhole is hidden is probably beyond your imagination."
"Oh? Where?"
Tosh opened his pale eyes and smiled mysteriously, "On the sun."
................................................
Back on the Hyperion, Chang Wei had put aside his previous laziness and spoke to Matt Horner in a serious manner.
"Matt, how was the wormhole on the sun discovered?"
Matt Horner replied, "Sir, based on the scientists' discussions and analysis, there must be some kind of powerful information effect around the wormhole. This information effect is generally impossible to conceal unless disguised."
"Based on this characteristic, we then conducted a detailed investigation within the solar system. We particularly examined the planets, as they might have possessed strong gravity or radiation, leading us to overlook details."
"Finally, after our efforts, we discovered a suspicious area on the sun. That area is a dark spot on the sun. Dark spots on the sun are also called sunspots."
"Simply put, when the magnetic field inside the sun changes, the magnetic fields in certain areas will gather to form strong magnetic field areas, which are the sunspots seen on the sun. The formation and disappearance of sunspots is a dynamic process that is closely related to the thermal convection and magnetic field activity inside the sun."
"Sunspots have a typical cyclical activity pattern, usually with a cycle of 11 years. At the peak of the activity cycle, a large number of sunspots appear on the solar surface, and as the cycle progresses, the number of sunspots gradually decreases. Sunspots are cooler than their surroundings and therefore appear darker. On the solar surface, sunspots vary in shape and size, but usually appear in pairs."
"But through our continued investigation, we discovered that there is a sunspot on the sun with an extremely stable magnetic field and temperature. Because this sunspot is often blocked by the solar wind, it appears dimly when observed and is easily overlooked, but it does exist."
To give Chang Wei a clearer view and facilitate subsequent understanding, Matt Horner stretched out his five fingers on the virtual display screen and grabbed a basketball-sized simulated sun. He then zoomed in and out again, pointed to a specific location, and continued.
"Right here! This is the suspicious location we discovered, the suspected wormhole!"
Chang Wei looked at the screen, frowning, and then asked, "Have you tried it yet?"
"We've explored it, and we've found a space travel effect similar to a tunnel there. However, we haven't entered because we're not sure if it has any verification mechanism. If the identification alarm is triggered, we'll alert the enemy. Therefore, everything still depends on the commander's decision."
Chang Wei nodded to Matt Horner and said, "Well done! You have made a great contribution!"
"That's our duty, sir."
Chang Wei did not continue to be polite with him, but looked at the picture of the sun and thought seriously.
When human spacecraft pass through the atmosphere, the high temperature generated by friction is approximately 800 to 3000 degrees Celsius depending on the speed, while the surface temperature of the sun is about 6000 degrees Celsius.
In other words, as long as more advanced space battleships can withstand high temperatures of 6000 degrees Celsius, they will not be afraid of the surface temperature of the sun and can travel through wormholes?
Chang Wei has confirmed that it is a wormhole hidden in the solar system. Considering the alien invasion in 1999, the other side of it is likely to be the Alpha Centauri system 4.2 light years away?
