Coruscant, located at the center of the galaxy, was the seat of the Old Republic's government and the imperial capital of the Galactic Empire after it replaced the Old Republic. Its political status was extremely high, similar to that of Beijing. To possess it was equivalent to declaring one's legitimacy to the world!
It resembled a metallic planet, reflecting a strange silvery luster under the sunlight. The name "Coruscant" itself meant "Shining City." The entire planet's surface was covered in cityscapes and a vast transportation network. Endless skyscrapers reached the bottom of the atmosphere, their lower reaches plunging deep into the dark shadows.
Against the backdrop of the sky, a continuous, endless stream of hovercraft crisscrossed. Even late at night, Coruscant still seemed vibrant with the flickering city lights and the flow of vehicles. It was a bustling urban planet that refused to sleep. Almost 100% of the planet's surface land was utilized; forests, mountains, rivers, lakes, and all natural formations had been lost to the urban occupation.
This planet is highly urbanized, resulting in a fast-paced life and a massive population density! The planet has a permanent population of approximately one trillion, 68% of which are humans, and the vast majority of them are high-end talents and top dignitaries.
After taking Coruscant, Chang Wei couldn't help but think: This planet is too crowded. If a star destroyer is fired, wouldn't there be heavy casualties?
It's tempting, but I guess no one, except a madman, would dare to do this. Because this kind of perverse behavior is equivalent to "burning Luoyang", it is destined to be attacked by everyone and nailed to the pillar of shame by history, and it will never be able to turn over!
Just as Chang Wei and Steadman finished their conversation, Zhong Kai and his group on the ground sent an emergency communication.
As soon as the screen was connected, Chang Wei saw Zhong Kai's anxious face.
"Oh no! Chang Wei. After Palpatine was killed, the Force warned us of impending danger! Palpatine left a hidden backup plan! Coruscant's core is undergoing drastic changes! In about 8 minutes, Coruscant will explode like a lit powder keg! Everyone on the planet will die!"
What!
Chang Wei suddenly stood up from his seat, his blood pressure soaring instantly, in disbelief.
Is Palpatine really that mad? You're still not at peace after faking your own death? You're actually trying to destroy yourself and your enemies? Look how pissed you off you are! You've probably been woken up in the middle of the night by someone yelling to pee, haven't you? You bastard emperor!
Chang Wei couldn't care less and immediately ordered all warships to rush into Coruscant's atmosphere for an emergency rescue. Rescue as many as possible, prioritizing their own people. The fleet had to evacuate the affected area before the planet exploded in eight minutes.
Then, all the Minotaur-class battlecruisers launched a tactical jump. A flash of green light appeared, and with a tremendous sonic boom squeezing the air, they instantly appeared over the city of Coruscant. The sky-blocking torrent of steel was dazzling and thrilling. Then, like a scattering of flowers from the sky, they began to release a large number of transport aircraft.
Even the flagship Hyperion, under Chang Wei's forced order, jumped into the palace and sent the most crazy pilots to pick up Zhong Kai and others.
4 minutes 39 seconds........4 minutes 38 seconds...........4 minutes 37 seconds.
Watching the countdown ticking away, Chang Wei clenched his fists and gritted his teeth.
Too slow, too slow, too slow!
At this rate, we can only rescue a few tens of millions of people at best! And Coruscant has a population of over a trillion! Are we all going to give up? Palpatine, you're so kind! You've tricked me, and I'll make sure you die a full death!
Just as Chang Wei was about to abandon most of the lives on Coruscant, a huge rift seemed to appear in the universe. A massive, luxuriously designed ship leaped out of hyperspace.
Upon closer inspection, the giant ship with an extremely luxurious design turned out to be the "Titanic" that Chang Wei had always arranged to paddle in the back as a mascot.
The fifth-level civilization's large immigration tourist ship "Titanic" immediately sailed out of the dock on Alderan after receiving Chang Wei's instructions, and then activated the hyperspace jump to come here, ready to participate in this rescue mission.
But, what if I’m here now?
Chang Wei shook his head and sighed. There were only 2 minutes and 27 seconds left before Coruscant exploded. No matter how he thought about it, it was too late. At most, he could save a few hundred thousand more people!
However, a miracle happened!
A beautiful female voice was heard aboard the Titanic, broadcasting to the world: "Dear passengers, this is the Titanic, a large immigration cruise ship. To ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable travel experience, we will wholeheartedly provide you with various services. Thank you. Please do not panic about what happens next. We will take you on an unforgettable and wonderful journey!"
Chang Wei was stunned. He looked towards the Titanic and saw it cast a massive energy field towards Coruscant. Then, one trillion people worldwide, including the pets, transformed into a ray of white light and vanished. Like a Protoss warp technique, they were collectively transported into the Titanic.
Holy crap! It's Protoss-like technology!
Chang Wei had no time to be surprised. He immediately commanded the fleet to leave the explosion area. At the same time, he opened the information panel of the "Titanic" and quickly checked it.
