Joel sheathed his weapon, unsurprised by the outcome. After all, the world of "Attack on Titan" they'd been assigned to wasn't technologically advanced to begin with, and with the anime providing some intelligence guidance, the challenge was relatively low. Time was limited, and they had to complete their mission quickly.
Ding, boom! boom! boom!
Joel was driving the Titan mecha, making a mechanical rumbling sound, and turned to look at Captain Erwin on horseback.
"We are the Titan Mobile Special Forces, part of the Forry First Regiment, a unit of the Light Chaser Fleet. I am the commander of this unit, Major Joel. Please confirm your identity! Are you Erwin Smith, the 13th Commander of the Survey Corps?"
Even while sitting on horseback, Captain Erwin could feel the powerful pressure of the giant looking down at him.
He suppressed his excitement and asked the "Cyclops" in front of him.
"What are you? Are you aberrant? Or one of the 'intelligent giants'? Why are you so much stronger than those giants? Are you wearing steel armor? What weapons do you use? Why are you attacking each other? Are you enemies? What is the truth of this world?"
At this moment, Captain Erwin was like a student who was extremely thirsty for knowledge. He was not afraid of the pressure from the Vanguard Titan at all and spoke out his questions loudly.
Joel's Vanguard Titan BT responded, "Negative! We are fifth-generation Vanguard Titans! We are not giants."
"Not a giant? A Vanguard-class Titan?" BT didn't reveal much information, but it made Captain Erwin even more confused.
Joel looked around and found that there was no danger, so he opened the cockpit door of the Titan and jumped out.
Then, he came to Captain Erwin and slowly took off his Pilot's helmet, revealing a tabby cat's head inside.
