Chapter 254: Preparing for the Attack on the Garden of Nurgle

In the original Warhammer 41K period, before crossing the Great Rift to the Dark Side of the Empire, Guilliman obtained the conspiracy and whereabouts of Mortarion, the rebellious Primarch of the former Fourteenth Legion - Death Guard, by interrogating a demon host.

Later, during Guilliman's raid on the capital of Axe, after bombarding the Death Guard with orbital munitions, he called upon his brother Mortarion for a duel!

Guilliman fought bravely in this battle and shot down Mortarion's lantern, but was ultimately defeated by Mortarion, who, after ascending to magic, was able to use sorcery.

After the "Lord of Death" knocked Guilliman down, he injected him with the "God's Plague". Instantly, Guilliman's face turned black, his skin began to ulcerate, and the Armor of Fate on his body began to decay.

Guilliman, dying after a fatal battle with Mortarion, was dragged into the Garden of Nurgle. Mortarion tried to kill Guilliman completely through the plague or force him to submit to the evil god Nurgle and then become a "Demon Prince" like him.

Unbeknownst to all, this was all part of the Emperor's plan. The Emperor suddenly appeared, repairing the Armor of Fate, which had been damaged by the Plague, healing Guilliman's wounded body and immobilizing Mortarion. Finally, shrouded in golden light and transformed into the Son of Vengeance, Guilliman, in the Garden of Nurgle, demonstrated the Emperor's great will to the gods and declared war on them.

Afterwards, Guilliman held high the "Sword of the Emperor" burning with holy flames, and killed everyone in anger, setting the entire Garden of Nurgle on fire, announcing that the balance between reality and the Warp would eventually be restored!

This is the famous "Burning of Nurgle's Garden" incident in the Warhammer world!

Waking up from the battlefield, Guilliman discovered that the Custodes were hunting down the retreating Death Guard, and the Plague War was over.

This reminded him of the Emperor protecting him, as if he were giving him his final words. That was... the Emperor's humanity was fading! While the opening of the Great Rift had increased the Emperor's power, it had also led to an unprecedented increase in his divinity, causing his humanity to cease to exist!

Saving Guilliman from the Garden of Nurgle and severely damaging the evil god Nurgle was the last thing the Emperor could do before his own humanity faded. From then on, the Emperor rarely appeared again, nor did he respond to anyone! From then on, he truly became the "cold sun" of the Warp and a ruthless and indifferent "god" above humanity!

However, we are still in the 40K era, and all future directions can be changed.

Zhong Kai not only wants to make a big bet, but also wants to prove his ability to Chang Wei!

"Are you sure? Didn't the Warmaster forbid passage into the Warp? If we are to challenge Nurgle and my brother Mortarion, we must send our fleet through the Eye of Terror. It is...too dangerous."

Zhong Kai stared at Guilliman with a pair of golden, fluorescent pupils. That was the symbol of the Transformer! At the same time, these pupils gave people the feeling that they were filled with divinity.

Zhong Kai didn't say anything, but his voice seemed to penetrate the distance between the two of them and echoed directly in Guilliman's mind.

"Guilliman, you have fought alongside me for so long. I doubt you have discovered that I, like the Primarch Sanguinius, possess a similar ability to foresee the future?"

Guilliman did not respond, but looked at Zhong Kai seriously, as if he agreed.

Zhong Kai continued: "In the future I foresee, you will encounter a great disaster! Mortarion will defeat you and drag you into the Garden of Nurgle, trying to kill or corrupt you. In the critical moment, the Emperor saved you. But from then on, you will truly lose the Emperor's humanity. Do you... want this to happen?"

This time, Guilliman did not remain indifferent. Instead, he frowned and asked, "Is everything you said true?"

"Haha, why would I lie to you? If we don't solve this future problem now, do you think the prophecy will happen?"

Guilliman was silent.

However, a nearby Protoss lieutenant, his psychic eyes flashing, stood up and advised Zhong Kai, "Commander, the Warmaster did not ask us to do anything unnecessary. I beg to differ from your point of view."

Zhong Kai sneered and resorted to provoking him: "Oh? A noble Protoss would also be afraid of those demons in the Warp?"

The Star Spirit Adjutant's psychic eyes began to flicker violently, a manifestation of his fluctuating mood.

"Commander, the brave Protoss are naturally fearless! Our strength and glory determine that we will not fear any difficulties or dangers in the universe! I wish to take back your rude words just now. Noble Protoss will not be allowed to be slandered and belittled like this!"

If they were not restricted by the system treaty, and if the person in front of them was the commander designated by the system host, perhaps these arrogant star spirits who claimed to be "the eldest son of God" would challenge Zhong Kai to a duel.

Zhong Kai smiled slightly, as if his plan had succeeded.

"Sorry, sorry! What I said just now may have been a bit harsh, I take it back. But simply slaughtering those ant-like xenos clearly doesn't reflect the strength of the Protoss warriors, right? Isn't helping the weak and the needy the core concept of your Protoss Dawu Law? Facing the Warp demons that are like the cancer of the universe, isn't it the Protoss' unshirkable duty to go and annihilate them?"

After these words were spoken, the anger of the powerful Protoss leader, the Pride of Otalis, gradually subsided. He then looked deeply at Zhong Kai and replied calmly, "I will follow the commander's orders!"
