Chapter 283 The Purple Light Sword in Front of the Chest

When Chang Wei commanded the Light Chaser Fleet and the Imperial Navy Fleet, and began to coordinate operations with the friendly fleets that had arrived to reinforce them, the already spectacular atmosphere of the cosmic battlefield suddenly became even more tense and intense.

In the starry sky, a dense swarm of insects and the vast, earthly python Jörmungandr approached like a dark tide, bearing endless firepower. The suffocating and terrifying pressure would have been enough to make any ordinary person collapse!

But inspired by the previous speeches, the human side, with high morale, not only did not retreat in fear, but fought side by side, showing fearless courage and determination.

The voices of the captains echoed relentlessly through the cacophony of battle, inspiring every soldier and crew member. Commanders' combat orders were quickly transmitted to every warship formation within their respective formations, uniting them as a single entity, operating in close coordination and tacit comprehension.

The Light Chasers' warships quickly formed seven battle lines, forming a majestic and mighty Crane Wing formation, maximizing their firepower output. They intertwined with the edges of the friendly fleet's formation, forming a massive siege net.

Countless attacks, like a violent storm, continued to punctuate the attack. Although they could not cause any substantial damage to the powerful Jörmungandr, they could constantly wear away its psychic shield and reduce its imperceptible energy consumption.

At the same time, various super weapons were recharged, and various enhancement and defensive force fields covered the entire army. Even the defective Xel'Naga artifact key stone, which was regarded as a consumable, was taken out by Chang Wei and used as a powerful weapon for humans to fight against Jörmungandr's terrifying psychic field.

However, in this unprecedented battle, the insect swarms in the starry sky were not to be underestimated. They pressed forward like dark clouds, endless and boundless. Once within attack range, the enemy and our forces immediately engaged in a fierce exchange of fire.

On one side are various technological weapons of mankind, such as: blazing lasers, powerful missiles, large numbers of swarm drones, physical impacts based on mass kinetic energy, electric charge bombings based on energy radiation, law strikes based on dimensions and space-time, and so on.

On the other side, the Zerg's various psionic and biological weapons, such as powerful, durable plasma cannons; corrosive slime molds coated in biomass and ejected; microscopic biomes invisible to the naked eye, yet easily attached to armor and shields, devouring all matter and energy, and continuously multiplying and spreading; and various attack and defense methods mimicked through specialized organs and psionic energy.

The enemy and our armies are like the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each showing their magical powers!

The shields of both sides continuously shone with ripples of energy. Every attack carried the risk of ship destruction and loss of life! Under this terrifying battle, the powerful firepower network could instantly destroy wave after wave of Zerg swarms. But soon, more Zerg swarms would continue to emerge.

Faced with this situation, the commanders of the major fleets were well aware of the huge disparity in numbers between the enemy and us. Forget about exchanging one for ten, even exchanging one for a hundred or a thousand would be a loss!

As a result, the fleet commanders calmly issued orders, asking their respective fleets to adjust their tactics, use dodging skills and concentrated firepower, and constantly look for the weaknesses of the Zerg.

Even so, the human side began to suffer casualties and massive impacts. More and more warships suffered shattered shields, punctured armor, and detonated reactors and ammunition bays. Some larger, more threatening warships and star fortresses were subjected to the Zerg's concentrated fire.

This just proves that these bugs are not brainless idiots, but killing machines that know how to use tactics and strategies, and cooperate efficiently!

Meanwhile, the Midgard Serpent Jörmungandr displayed astonishing power and immense threat. Starlight flickered across its scales, like exploring a path through fog, making it difficult to see clearly. Its immense size meant that if one was too close to the Zerg swarm, only a portion of its form could be seen, not the entirety.

Looking up, behind the insect swarm was an endless, still-wriggling "serpent-scale wall," perhaps the belly of Jörmungandr or perhaps the tip of his tail. Living things have an innate awe of giants, instilling fear in everyone who witnessed this scene.

Chang Wei didn't dare to be careless and immediately ordered the entire army to release a formation of combat drones to harass the beast, trying to distract it. At the same time, he also aimed the fully charged super weapons at its head.

However, Chang Wei obviously underestimated the wisdom of Jörmungandr and was paralyzed by its clumsy actions.

Before the Changwei Fleet's superweapons could fire, Jörmungandr's pupils suddenly changed. Then, his body, like a dragon, became incredibly agile, accelerating at incredible speed to reach a favorable angle of attack. Then, he opened his maw, and boundless energy converged within it. A fierce light illuminated the universe, and a terrifying pressure shook the world!

When Chang Wei saw the huge snake head pointing at him and making a motion as if it was about to spit, he instantly felt scared and his eyes widened!

"Oh no! Quickly leap frog! Dodge!"

The Light Chaser fleet's command and control, operations, and crew quality were all top-notch. As if wielding the power of one's own arm, as soon as Chang Wei finished speaking, all the ships within Jörmungandr's direct blast angle collectively performed an emergency leapfrog.

However, the Imperial Navy commanders, unfamiliar with frog jump operations and advanced technology, were clearly a step behind. Some, with weaker mental abilities, froze in their tracks, their spines shivering as they saw the giant, snake-like pupils staring back at them, unable to issue any orders.
