Chapter 301: The End of StarCraft II

The Xel'Naga are a god-level civilization in the StarCraft universe.

They live in the void outside the universe, and their main responsibility is to create life within the universe. They are not interested in power, they only care about the evolution of life and endless reincarnation.

The earliest origin of the Xel'Naga is no longer traceable, but what is certain is that they are a hereditary race.

In other words, this race has abandoned the traditional concept of reproduction and racial purity, and has achieved selection and inheritance at the level of spiritual identity.

Whenever a new universe is born, they arrive incarnated, sowing the seeds of life before falling into a deep slumber, slowly awaiting the evolution of life. Over the endless years and countless lives that follow, they select the most promising individuals of their race as their descendants, to inherit their essence, knowledge, and the cycle of sacred missions. This means they become the new Xel'Naga!

This cyclical stage is called: endless reincarnation.

In the endless cycle, there will always be two races chosen.

One is to possess the purest essence, be able to adapt to various changes, and have an unyielding will.

One has the purest form, possesses enormous psychic potential, and can withstand the essence of the Xel'Naga.

When these two races evolve to a high enough level, they will be guided by some mysterious force and come to the birthplace of cosmic life, which is the "temple" built by the Xel'Naga in the universe.

After arriving at the "Temple", the oldest of the Xel'Naga will voluntarily sacrifice their lives and give their essence to the selected individuals of the race, so that they can accept the gifts of the Xel'Naga and become new Xel'Naga. After becoming Xel'Naga, they will also gain a vast amount of knowledge inheritance, as well as the responsibilities and missions they must shoulder!

And Amon was the one who ascended to become a member of the Xel'Naga in this endless cycle of reincarnation.

During the billions of years that the Temple of Urna lay dormant, his home civilization had long since vanished into the depths of time. Amon, overcome with grief and indignation at his failure to save and revive his own civilization, felt a surge of loneliness, regret, and pain that gradually corrupted and distorted his heart.

Ultimately, in the endless cycle of reincarnation, he could only watch the development of the universe as a bystander. Over time, he became more and more resentful of the universe, and planned to destroy the entire universe and recreate a new world that would satisfy him!

But the Xel'Naga's creed and traditions require that they must never interfere with the evolution of species.

However, Amon the Fallen and his follower Narud did not comply, but instead unscrupulously accelerated the evolution of the Protoss and the Zerg.

After discovering their illegal operations, the Xel'Naga went to fight against these "gods" who dared to disrupt order. However, after years of slumber, these powerful Xel'Naga who adhered to order had long lost their scheming and fighting qualities.

In the end, under Amon's false negotiation, they relaxed their vigilance and finally stepped into a carefully laid trap, where they were besieged and destroyed! Even their essence was divided up by Amon and his minions.

Amon's actions undoubtedly aroused the anger and dissatisfaction of the remaining Xel'Naga. As a result, Aulus, who possessed the greatest strength, was awakened and a very tragic battle broke out with Amon the Fallen.

The result of the great battle was the simultaneous demise of their avatars. Their original consciousnesses were also severely injured and cast back into the void. However, thanks to the covert assistance of Amon's follower, Narud, all the Xel'Naga avatars sleeping in the "Temple" of Ulnar were devoured by the Swarm Overlord.

The Xel'Naga whose avatars were devoured fell into extreme weakness in the void. Amon took this opportunity to kill all the Xel'Naga in the void and imprisoned the most powerful Aurus, so as to continuously absorb his power and prepare to end the endless cycle of reincarnation!

To put it in Amon's terms, it is...

The Xel'Naga are gods of infinite life and immense power! Yet, they have been acting as the "cosmic nanny" who spreads life? And in this endless cycle of loneliness and slumber, they wait for a new successor to cut off their own kidneys? How ridiculous and absurd!

[I want to become the master of the universe! I want to control my own destiny! I want to embark on a brand new path of transcendence!]

This! This is Amon's purpose!

If the original StarCraft II storyline had been followed, Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, would have obtained the essence of Aulus, the "Guide of Endless Reincarnation," and thus ascended to become the new Xel'Naga. In the final battle, with the full assistance of the three races of humans, gods, and insects, she shattered Amon's conspiracy and completely eliminated him.

But in this parallel universe, Kerrigan is already dead! So...who will inherit the essence and knowledge of Aurus?

The answer is... hot guy!

"Aurus, give me all your essence and knowledge."

"Are you...a traveler from outside the universe?"

Holy crap, Traveler! Can you please stop being so distracting? I didn't realize you were playing Genshin Impact too!

Zhong Kai didn't waste time talking to Him.

"Aurus, Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, is dead! The end of the universe is approaching! Now only I can inherit your essence and knowledge. Only I can defeat Amon the Corrupted!"

"You have no choice!"

Aulus stared at Zhong Kai with countless huge eyes, knowing that he was right. Now, there was no choice! Moreover, Amon's presence was getting closer and closer, and a decision had to be made quickly!
