Chapter 121 Divine Eye Lake

Deep inside the cave.

The old Taoist priest, dressed in a tattered blue robe, suddenly opened his eyes. His gaze was piercing, golden smoke swirled around him, the cave was shaking, and a large number of mud shards were scattered around him.

Kendo Temple.

The main hall where the ancestral master is enshrined.

Master Qingxu was sitting cross-legged on a futon, cultivating immortality and comprehending the Dao. He suddenly opened his eyes, and golden light appeared in the portrait above. Then, the old Daoist in green robes walked out of the portrait.

"Grandmaster!"

Master Qingxu excitedly rose to greet him.

The old Taoist priest in the green robe looked at the incense stick that had just finished burning in the incense burner, his eyes narrowed slightly, and he asked solemnly, "Which great master offered incense just now?"

Master Qingxu bowed and said, "Reporting to the Ancestral Master, it is Qin Luo from Longhu Temple."

Upon hearing this, the old man in the green robe widened his eyes, "It's actually Senior Brother Zhang's Dragon Tiger Temple!"

Master Qingxu looked respectful and asked with some doubt, "Grandmaster, you haven't responded to us for so many years. Is there something we've done wrong?"

The old Taoist priest in the green robe shook his head and sighed, "Alas! I can barely take care of myself, how can I care about you? I can hear your prayers, but I am powerless to help. Qin Luo did not pray for me, but wished me boundless happiness and longevity. It was only because he condescended to bestow his blessings that I was able to break free from my cocoon and be reborn."

"So that's how it is! Our ancestor suffered!" Master Qingxu suddenly realized. He continued, "Master Qin is very young, but his Taoist skills are extremely profound. He also helped the Sword Dao Temple eliminate the hidden dangers of the Demon Locking Tower. Our Sword Dao Temple owes him a lot."

The old Taoist in the green robe nodded, then clenched his fist and bowed towards the distance. "I am deeply grateful for your kindness. If I ever manage to leave this forbidden area alive, I will definitely visit you in person to express my gratitude."

......

Qin Luo walked through the mountains and forests.

He seemed to hear an old voice.

"Boss, have some fruit."

The little dumpling picked a lot of wild fruits.

Qin Luo shook his head slightly, "You eat it."

"All right."

The little dumpling ate wild fruit, revealing its snow-white teeth and beaming with a smile, "Boss, this fruit is so sweet."

Qin Luo asked softly, "Have you washed your hands?"

"No."

"Wash your hands before eating from now on."

"Boss, can we skip the shower?"

"Then stop picking your toes."

"oh oh."

The little dumpling blinked. "Big brother, so you disliked me picking my toes? I won't pick my toes anymore."

Qin Luo smiled, took out the golden gourd, and took a big gulp of morning dew. The dew from the old peach tree was still the sweetest. The rootless tea was too bitter, and he could never forget it.

The sunset painted the mountains red.

A gentle breeze swept through the mountains.

Qin Luo felt very comfortable. He breathed in the fresh mountain air. The little dumpling sat on his shoulder, holding a small wooden stick he had picked up in the forest. He waved it around and recited the Thousand Character Classic in a clear voice: "If you know your faults, correct them; if you have gained abilities, do not forget them. Do not talk about others' shortcomings, and do not rely on your own strengths."

Explain the meaning of these two sentences.

The little dumpling scratched its head. "If you know you're wrong, you should correct it. I forgot the rest."

Qin Luo nodded slightly and said softly, "The meaning of 'to learn something and not forget it' is to acquire knowledge and not forget it."

"Do not talk about others' shortcomings, and do not boast about your own strengths. You should not look down on others, nor should you be arrogant. Do you understand?"

"Hehe, I understand."

The little dumpling nodded repeatedly.

"Not only do you need to know, but you also need to do it."

"No problem, I promise I'll do it."

The little dumpling raised its hand and swore an oath.

Qin Luo nodded with satisfaction.

The little dumpling blinked. "Big brother, can you buy me half a candied hawthorn skewer first?"

"Memorize it first."

"All right."

In Jiangling City, the little girl saw children eating candied hawthorns on the street, and she wanted to eat candied hawthorns too.

Qin Luo headed south.

He crossed the mountain and saw even more mountains.

As night fell and the stars shone brightly, Qin Luo lay on the grassy hillside, his back against the soft grass, bathed in starlight, a gentle breeze caressing his face, carrying the fragrance of flowers and grass.

The vast starry sky is like a boundless chessboard, with stars scattered throughout, interwoven with light and shadow.

Qin Luo gazed at the starry sky, watching the starlight twinkle like a chessboard, ever-changing and unpredictable.

The little girl sat next to Qin Luo, doing nothing, hugging her feet and biting her toenails.

Late at night, Qin Luo closed his eyes to rest, his breath merging with the world around him, feeling all things in the universe.

When the little dumpling saw Qin Luo resting, she didn't make a fuss and just crawled into his pocket to rest.

The next day, early morning.

Qin Luo sat up and looked at the dewdrops hanging on the nearby grass. He took out his golden gourd to collect the dew and tasted the fresh morning dew. It was cool and refreshing, carrying the fragrance of grass and soil, which brought him peace.

The little dumpling popped out of Qin Luo's pocket.

Qin Luo handed her the golden gourd and asked with a smile, "Little dumpling, would you like a sip?"

Thinking of the ginger soup and rootless tea she had drunk earlier, the little dumpling shook her head repeatedly, "Big brother, I'm not thirsty."

Qin Luo put away the golden gourd, stood up, and began to practice his punches based on his intuition.

The mountain mists slowly dissipated, and golden morning light fell on the hillside, making the little dumpling's face glow red. She absorbed the light beside Qin Luo, with faint red lines between her eyebrows, appearing and disappearing.

Qin Luo finished his punch.

He continued on his way with the little dumpling.

Thirty miles south, Qin Luo saw a stone tablet standing by the roadside with the words "Qinghua Town" written on it.

Not far away is an ancient town with blue bricks and gray tiles, and the ground is paved with bluestone slabs. There is a small river near the town, and stonemasons are hammering stones in the river.

Qin Luo walked into the town, where there were many shops selling blue and white porcelain on the streets.

The blue and white porcelain was beautiful. Qin Luo looked around, while the little dumpling frowned and asked, "Why are there no candied hawthorns for sale here? There are very few food vendors."
