Chapter 135 The Sun Emperor

"That makes sense."

The little dumpling nodded as if it understood but not quite.

Stone nodded in agreement.

Qin Luo led them onward.

The mountain paths were narrow and winding. They traversed the mountains and valleys, arriving at the foot of Songshan Mountain in the middle of the night. Qingyang Temple was located on the mountaintop.

There was a formation set up by Qingyang Temple around them, so it would be disrespectful to force one in. Qin Luo said loudly, "Qin Luo from Longhu Temple has come to pay a visit!"

The loud voice carried to the mountaintop.

The disciples of Qingyang Temple tensed up instantly, thinking that Qin Luo had come to cause trouble. Even Lu Qingshan, who was in seclusion to heal his injuries, immediately came out of seclusion and appeared at the foot of the mountain in the blink of an eye.

Lu Qingshan dared not be careless. He could not discern the depth of Qin Luo's cultivation. He clasped his hands in a respectful gesture and asked, "Master Qin, why have you come to visit so late at night?"

Qin Luo clasped his hands in a salute, "This junior is preparing to go to Nantian Peak and will take the opportunity to visit you, senior, and pay a visit to the Emperor."

Lu Qingshan suddenly realized that his injuries had disappeared. He was both surprised and delighted. "Thank you, Daoist Qin. Please come with me."

Qin Luo nodded with a smile.

When they reached the summit, all the disciples of Qingyang Temple were outside the temple, holding long swords and ready for battle.

Lu Qingshan, his face dark, scolded, "Master Qin is a guest from afar, why don't you quickly pay your respects?"

The disciples of Qingyang Temple were at a loss for words. They gripped their swords and bowed, saying, "Greetings, Daoist Qin!"

Qin Luo returned the greeting with a cupped hand.

The little dumpling sat cross-legged on Qin Luo's shoulder, cupped her hands in a fist salute, and said in a deep voice, "May the Heavenly Venerable grant you boundless blessings!"

The disciples of Qingyang Temple looked on with fear, knowing that the little dumpling was a ferocious beast in disguise.

Qin Luo saw that Ge Lie was seriously injured, raised his hand, and a beam of azure light enveloped Ge Lie, and the latter's injuries quickly healed.

Feeling his body fully restored, Ge Lie's eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Daoist Qin!"

Lu Qingshan was somewhat moved. Qin Luo possessed great power, yet he not only didn't make things difficult for them, but also healed their injuries.

"Master Qin, I'm just getting senile."

Lu Qingshan apologized to Qin Luo in front of the Qingyang Temple disciples.

Qin Luo waved his hands repeatedly, "As the saying goes, no fight, no friendship. My senior brother is new here, and I hope you can help him out."

Lu Qingshan knew that Qin Luo was giving him a way out, so he smiled and nodded, "If the Fire God Temple needs anything in the future, just come and find me."

"Then thank you in advance, senior."

"We are all fellow Daoists."

Lu Qingshan led Qin Luo to the main hall where the Sun Emperor was worshipped. A yellowish clay sculpture was placed high up, with two large pairs of incense sticks below it, and the hall was filled with the smoke of incense.

Qin Luo was unaware of the rules of Qingyang Temple, and asked respectfully, "Senior, may I offer incense?"

"sure."

Lu Qingshan nodded with a smile.

Qin Luo lit an incense stick, bowed, and murmured, "Senior Emperor, please forgive me for disturbing you!"

A wisp of golden smoke rose from the incense burner.

The little dumpling threw the sunflower seed shells into the brazier.

"What are you doing?"

"Boss, I'd like to invite the Emperor to have some melon seeds."

"You will be fined ten copper coins."

The little girl could only tearfully pull out ten copper coins, feeling even more upset than if she had been beaten, since it was money she had worked so hard to earn.

Qin Luo put ten copper coins into the donation box of Qingyang Temple. The Qingyang Temple disciples around him were dumbfounded. They did not expect that Qin Luo would not only come to offer incense, but also donate money.

A ray of golden light shone on Qingyang Temple.

The disciples of Qingyang Temple were all dumbfounded; before the roosters even crowed, it was already dawn.

A tall, golden figure appeared at Qingyang Temple. The younger disciples all knelt down in worship, and even the powerful figures like Ge Lie bowed their heads, not daring to raise their heads.

"Greetings, Your Majesty!"

The younger generation said in unison.

Standing behind Qin Luo, Shi Tou did not feel the oppressive aura of Emperor Tianyang.

"Junior Qin Luo greets Your Majesty!"

"Master Qin, there's no need for such formalities."

The little dumpling stretched out its tiny hand and asked with a grin, "Your Majesty, would you like some melon seeds?"

The Sun Emperor was handsome, much more so than the clay sculpture. He shook his head and chuckled, "My true form has been destroyed; I am not worthy of such a sight."

Qin Luo said apologetically, "I'm sorry, this has affected the Emperor's incense offerings."

The Sun Emperor waved his hand and said with a smile, "All Taoist sects under heaven are one family. Master Qin, you don't need to take it to heart. Your one stick of incense is better than countless offerings."

"I cannot remain here for long. If Daoist Qin needs anything, just give me a call, and I will come to you no matter where you are!"

Qin Luo nodded slightly.

The Sun Emperor has disappeared.

Immediately afterward, the golden light outside the temple dissipated, and Qingyang Temple was once again shrouded in darkness.
