Chapter 139 The Law of Destruction

Nantian Peak.

The orange-red sunset glow fell on the mountaintop.

The evening breeze ruffled Qin Luo's long hair as he stood atop the mountain, bowing respectfully before the Vermilion Bird statue.

The Vermilion Bird statue released dazzling flames, which condensed into a tall goddess in a long red dress. She stood high above, gazing at Qin Luo, "You also want the fragments of the Heavenly Dao?"

"Yes."

Qin Luo didn't hide anything and said seriously, "Leaving this fragment of the Heavenly Dao here is a hidden danger."

"The fragments of the Heavenly Dao do not belong to you."

"I know."

Qin Luo looked at Zhuque with a firm gaze, "Like you, senior, I don't want the fragments of the Heavenly Dao to harm the people around me, and I will not abuse the power of the fragments of the Heavenly Dao."

Zhuque raised his hand, and the mountains began to shake. "Although you are not Him, I can entrust the Dao of Destruction to you for safekeeping, in consideration of the incense you have given me."

A flash of red light.

The restrictions on the mountaintop disappeared.

The fragment of the Heavenly Dao in the middle of the mountain peak released a dazzling blood-red light. The Dao of Destruction wanted to take off, but Qin Luo activated the Dao of Time to fix the Dao of Destruction in place.

Qin Luo slowly walked towards the Dao of Destruction.

The projection of the Vermilion Bird stood high above, also bound by the laws of time, but its eyes were still moving, watching Qin Luo walk toward the laws of destruction.

Qin Luo reached out and grasped the Dao of Destruction; in an instant, terrifying power surged into his body.

Suzaku's eyes were filled with shock.

The time shackles on the mountaintop disappeared. The Vermilion Bird paid a huge price to seal the Dao of Destruction, but Qin Luo absorbed the Dao of Destruction so easily without any backlash.

Zhuque stared intently at Qin Luo.

Who exactly are you?

"I am Qin Luo, and I am who I am."

Qin Luo wore a kind smile.

Zhuque looked into Qin Luo's eyes without questioning him. "I believe you are Qin Luo, but you are a variable and should not be a piece in the game."

Why am I a pawn?

"Fate is determined by heaven, not by you."

Qin Luo did not refute, but asked softly, "I wonder what kind of chess game you are referring to, senior?"

Zhuque's eyes were solemn as he said in a deep voice, "The game between Heaven and Man! The Heavenly Dao has collapsed and the Dao Ancestor has fallen, but this game is not over yet. They each have a backup plan."

Qin Luo asked curiously, "Senior, who do you support?"

Zhuque narrowed her eyes slightly, her scarlet gaze fixed on Qin Luo. "I support you."

"You have good taste!"

The little dumpling gave a thumbs up.

Qin Luo was somewhat surprised, "Why me?"

Zhuque sighed softly, "Heaven has endowed me with supreme divine power, and humanity has given me countless offerings. I couldn't make a choice before. You are a variable, and you may be able to influence the game, so I choose to support you."

"Thank you for your trust, senior."

Qin Luo nodded with a smile.

The Vermilion Bird spread its arms, ripples spread across the mountain peak, and the Vermilion Bird statue high above collapsed with a crash. The last blood-red bead flew to the little dumpling's front.

"Is this for me?"

The little dumpling blinked.

She knew that the blood bead must be a treasure.

The projection of Suzaku began to dissipate, and a gentle voice said, "Yes, make good use of this power."

As soon as he finished speaking, the Vermilion Bird's projection completely disappeared. Qin Luo bowed in the direction where the Vermilion Bird had vanished. It sealed the laws of destruction and protected the people around it, and deserved to be respected.

The little girl held a bead of scalding blood in her hand, grinning foolishly, "Big brother, I'll share half with you."

Qin Luo chuckled and said, "No need. This is a gift from the Vermilion Bird. Remember what He said and make good use of this power."

Alright!

The little dumpling took the blood beads.

In an instant, a surge of powerful energy rushed into her body, turning the little dumpling red all over. Heat waves rippled through the surrounding space, and she fell off Qin Luo's shoulder once again.

Qin Luo grabbed the little dumpling's tuft of hair and put her in his pocket.

Night fell.

Qin Luo did not leave the mountaintop; he was waiting for Shi Tou to come up. Although Zhu Que had lifted the restrictions on the mountaintop, the restrictions in the mountains still remained.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Qin Luo's heartbeat was like thunder. He looked inward with his soul and saw blood-red patterns appear on his heart. The five fragments of the Heavenly Dao emitted five different kinds of light.

Each time he absorbed a fragment of the Heavenly Dao, Qin Luo felt isolated from the world. Now, he felt even more powerless. He calmed down, listened to the voices of heaven and earth, and gradually his heart calmed down. He merged back into this world.

Halfway up the mountain.

The stone was still crawling slowly, its palms bleeding from the ground, but it still gritted its teeth and persevered. Even though its clothes were torn and its body was covered in wounds, it did not give up.

Several hours passed, and Stone was exhausted, but he was still far from the summit. "Why am I so useless!"

Tears dripped down.

Tears streamed down Shi Tou's face. He wanted to keep up with Qin Luo and didn't want to hold him back.

As the soothing sound of a flute began, Stone heard it and his mood gradually calmed down.

"When people can always maintain a state of tranquility, the world will return to its natural order."

"Hold fast to the original essence and guard the oneness, concentrate the mind and calm the breath."

Stone regained his composure and stopped thinking about using brute force. He began to meditate, and the Bagua diagram appeared in his mind.

A gentle breeze swept in from the mountains, blowing on the stones. He became more alert, and despite the aches and pains, he sat cross-legged on the ground, a Bagua diagram appearing around him.

The Bagua diagram on the ground began to rotate, and the energy between heaven and earth surged towards the stone, quickly filling his tired body with strength.

Stone stood up and walked forward, the Bagua diagram under his feet moving with him.

The mountaintop.

Qin Luo played the bamboo flute.

The sound of the flute changes with his mood.

The stone ran faster and faster, until finally it was flying, ignoring the restrictions, and reached the mountain peak.
