Chapter 17 Five Qi Gathering Method

"Father."

"Senior brother is here."

Zifeng followed her sister's lead and called him "Senior Brother".

Qin Luo had just finished drawing all the door gods.

Upon seeing Qin Luo arrive at the house, Zi Mu quickly went to the yard. "Little Qin, we didn't know you were coming. Please forgive us for being late and for any shortcomings in our hospitality."

Qin Luo shook his head and said softly, "Uncle, I feel embarrassed by your politeness."

"I'll be more careful in the future."

Zi Mu scratched his head. He was honest and simple, not very good at talking, but very sincere.

Su Rong said warmly, "Xiao Qin, you didn't stay for dinner when you brought Xiao Yue'er back. Today, your aunt has prepared something delicious for you, so you must stay for a meal."

"OK."

Qin Luo did not refuse her kindness.

"Great!"

Ziyue jumped up happily.

Zifeng pointed to the door gods on the gate and said in a clear voice, "Father, look, this was drawn by my senior brother."

"What majestic door gods!"

Zi Mu felt like he was being watched, and he felt a sense of awe, so he unconsciously bowed and paid his respects.

"Xiao Qin, come and try some osmanthus cake." Su Rong took out the peach blossom cake she bought in town.

Zi Feng swallowed hard.

His favorite food is osmanthus cake.

"OK."

Qin Luo tasted a piece.

However, he handed the others to Ziyue and her brother.

After finishing the peach blossom cake, Ziyue picked up the door gods that Qin Luo had drawn. "Senior brother, I'll take the door gods to everyone first."

"Go."

Qin Luo nodded slightly.

Ziyue sped along the mountain path.

Zi Mu and Su Rong were cooking in the kitchen.

The courtyard was getting hotter and hotter. Zifeng hid under the eaves, while Qin Luo remained sitting in the courtyard, leisurely drinking tea.

Most of the villagers in Shuanghe Village live by the river. Ziyue delivered door god portraits to the villagers along the riverside path.

Knowing that Ziyue was practicing at Longhu Temple, the villagers excitedly accepted the door god portraits and thanked her repeatedly.

"I'm back!"

Ziyue returned to the courtyard with Qingfeng.

"Senior brother, the old village chief really likes the door gods you painted. He's planning to buy a few for his son who lives in Qingshui Town." Ziyue picked up a bowl of tea and took a big gulp.

Qin Luo smiled and nodded, saying softly, "I'll draw more when we get back to the Taoist temple, and then I'll collect the money."

"Senior brother, how much do you want to sell it for?"

"One penny per pair."

"Why is it so cheap?"

Ziyue couldn't understand it; she felt that the door gods her senior brother had painted must be worth a lot of money.

Qin Luo wasn't interested in money; he just wanted to have enough money to treat his junior sister to a bowl of mutton soup when he went down the mountain.

"Xiao Qin, come in and eat quickly."

Su Rong called out enthusiastically.

Qin Luo and Zi Yue entered the house, which was filled with a fragrant aroma.

The meal consisted of three dishes and a soup: stir-fried pickled vegetables with cured pork belly, scrambled eggs, stir-fried greens, and a bowl of cured pork and pig's feet soup. It wasn't a very lavish meal. Qin Luo picked up the bowl and tasted the cured pork belly. The cured pork was very fragrant and not greasy at all.

Zi Yue stared at Qin Luo with her big eyes. She had never seen her senior brother eat before. "Senior brother, is it delicious?"

"It smells very good."

Qin Luo praised him with a smile.

Zi Mu and Su Rong exchanged a similar smile.

Zi Yueguang was eating rice, picking at her vegetables and pickled vegetables, but not eating a single piece of meat. Qin Luo knew that his junior sister dreamed of eating meat, so he immediately picked up some cured pork belly for her.

"Junior sister, eat more meat. When we return to Longhu Temple, we won't be able to eat the cured meat from home for a long time."

"Hehe, thanks, senior brother."

Zi Yue beamed with joy.

With a senior brother like Qin Luo, the couple felt very at ease with Zi Yue's cultivation at Longhu Temple.

While having dinner at Ziyue's house, Qin Luo thought of his parents, wondering how they were doing. He thought that only by working hard in cultivation could he have a chance to return to their side.

The purple-haired fairy noticed Qin Luo's emotional fluctuations, but those fluctuations were fleeting.
