Chapter 170 Confrontation with the Heavenly Dao

The capital of the Great Xia Dynasty.

The Imperial Observatory issued a curfew order, and the once bustling streets suddenly became quiet.

Late at night, Qin Luo stood in the courtyard observing the imperial star. He suddenly looked at the corner of the wall, a smile in his eyes, and asked, "What do you want? You can tell me."

The little black cat stood in the shadows of the corner, blending into the darkness and making it difficult to spot.

Qin Luo crouched down, a kind smile on his face, and waved to the little black cat in the darkness.

The little black cat looked wary; it ignored Qin Luo and ran out of the yard.

Am I scary?

Qin Luo shook his head. He sat down in the pavilion, closed his eyes, and meditated, his consciousness entering the inner world.

Before me stretched a vast and boundless starry sky.

Qin Luo found himself in the starry sky, where a dazzling, enormous eye stretched across the silent depths of space, and the stars were but a drop in the ocean in its eyes.

Those eyes were fixed on Qin Luo.

Qin Luo felt unprecedented pressure. He didn't look away, staring directly into those huge eyes, and said calmly, "So you were here."

"Start with change, and life will continue."

Qin Luo heard a deafening sound. The Way of Metal signifies change, while the Way of Wood signifies endless life. These two fragments of the Heavenly Way are an arrangement of the Heavenly Way.

"I see."

Qin Luo had sensed something was amiss long ago; no wonder he obtained the Heavenly Dao Fragment so easily.

Golden chains appeared from the void, binding Qin Luo's body and pulling him toward those eyes.

A force was trying to devour his consciousness.

Qin Luo was unable to break free from the golden chains. He wanted to leave the inner realm, but he failed.

Previously, Qin Luo could leave the inner realm at will, but after being bound by the golden chains, his consciousness could not leave the inner realm, and even his supernatural powers and spells lost their effect.

The Heavenly Dao wanted to devour Qin Luo's consciousness, its eyes blazing with fury. "You want to be my enemy?"

A chilling voice echoed from deep space, causing the entire cosmos to tremble: "Who gave you this confidence?"

Qin Luo stared directly into those enormous eyes, fearless. "Listen to me carefully. The Dao precedes Heaven and Earth, and is omnipresent. Even you cannot be above the Dao."

In the courtyard.

A brilliant light shone from Qin Luo's chest, and even the markings formed by the fragments of the Heavenly Dao could not obscure the light in his heart.

Inside the inner world, Qin Luo's consciousness burst forth with dazzling light, and he broke free of the golden chains.

Stars began to collapse, and Qin Luo looked closely and saw that it was an enormous hand.

Faced with the attack from Heaven, Qin Luo did not confront it head-on; instead, he chose to withdraw from the inner realm.

Qin Luo didn't get entangled with the Heavenly Dao in the inner realm, mainly because he was afraid that the fragments of the Heavenly Dao within his body would cause problems.

After leaving the inner realm, Qin Luo examined the Heavenly Dao fragments within his body, and found nothing unusual about them.

“If I can encounter Him in the inner realm, Hua Ying can too. I must remind her.” Qin Luo stood up.

Supreme View.

Hua Ying stood alone on the high-rise building. When she turned her head, she saw Qin Luo suddenly appear. She was stunned at first, and then excitedly said, "Qin Luo, what are you doing here?"

"Just came to see you."

Qin Luo smiled.

The bright moonlight shone on the tall buildings.

Hua Ying turned her head away haughtily, "Liar, you don't even care about me, yet you still came to see me."

Qin Luo looked at Hua Ying and teased with a smile, "You're not in my heart, but you're in my eyes."

"But I want to be in your heart."

"Can't."

"You are suited to cultivate the path of ruthlessness."

"You're wrong, the Great Way doesn't need to be cultivated."

"Perfect timing, I'm not planning on cultivating Taoism anyway."

Qin Luo and Hua Ying exchanged a smile.

"I encountered the Heavenly Dao in the inner realm, and it almost devoured my consciousness. You cannot enter the inner realm."

Upon hearing Qin Luo's reminder, Hua Ying realized something and excitedly said, "Master said that as long as I cultivate to the Supreme Ruthlessness, I can see Him in my inner realm. Either I kill Him or He will devour me. So that's what He was talking about."

Qin Luo had seen the Heavenly Dao, which was an existence that Hua Ying could not contend with. Looking at the bright smile on her face, he couldn't help but say in a deep voice, "You must stay awake and not go into the inner realm."

"Okay!"

Hua Ying pouted and said, "Do you think I'm like you, able to go into the inner world whenever I want?"

"goodbye!"

Qin Luo disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Hua Ying smiled sweetly, knowing that only Zhu Xian and Qin Luo truly cared about her in this world. "Thank you, Qin Luo."

Thinking of Zhu Xian's problem, Hua Ying frowned. What if they really started fighting?

The next day, early morning.

The little dumpling is reciting its lessons in the yard.

Old Gao approached Qin Luo and said respectfully, "Daoist Master, today is the day the princess goes to Lieshan to pay respects to her ancestors. Shall we go out and take a look around the streets?"

Qin Luo knew that Lao Gao wanted to go see it, so he smiled and nodded, "Okay, let's go and join in the fun."

Upon hearing that they were going to the street, the little dumpling immediately perked up, "Yay, let's go to the street and join in the fun!"

Qin Luo thought of his junior sister; every time they went shopping, spending just a few coins could make her happy for a long time.

Vermilion Bird Avenue.

The streets were lined with onlookers.

When Qin Luo and the others arrived, they could only stand at the back of the crowd. Little Tuanzi couldn't see what was in front of her, so she looked up and asked, "Boss, can I go up to heaven?"

"I'll hug you."

"Great!"

Qin Luo picked up the little dumpling.

The little dumpling's view suddenly broadened, "Hehe, the street is even more lively than last night."

Old Gao was tall and had a good view. He exclaimed excitedly, "Look, the princess is here!"

"Welcome, Your Highness!"

The people on the street knelt down one after another. Qin Luo watched Zhu Xian riding a fire unicorn. She was wearing a dark gold horse-face skirt and had her hair tied in a high ponytail. She was heroic and imposing without being angry.
