Zi Yue saw the brick the middle-aged Taoist priest was using and felt it looked familiar. She couldn't help but think of the evil cultivator who had been killed by it before. She approached him, a sunny smile on her face, and said crisply, "Brother Taoist, may I ask your name?"
The middle-aged Taoist priest looked Ziyue up and down and said in a serious tone, "May the Heavenly Venerable grant you boundless blessings. This humble Taoist priest never leaves his name when doing good deeds."
Seeing that young girls were being brought into Old Locust City, Zi Yue asked in confusion, "Brother Dao, do you know what they're doing?"
The middle-aged Taoist priest looked at the girls being brought into the city and said with a wry smile, "The evil cultivator Blood Demon loves to suck the blood of young girls. Those girls who have entered the city are going to suffer."
Upon hearing this, Zi Yue's eyes blazed with anger. She rushed toward the city gate, but the middle-aged Taoist priest saw her and quickly stopped her, saying, "Fellow Taoist, Old Locust City is very dangerous. The White Dragon Saint Monk and the Eastern Confucian scholar both went there and never returned."
"If I don't help them, who will? No matter how dangerous it is, I have to try." Zi Yue's eyes were firm; she wanted to help those innocent girls.
"Squeak squeak".
The red monkey on the middle-aged Taoist's shoulder offered the fruit to Ziyue, who smiled and said, "If I come out alive, give it to me then."
"Squeak squeak".
The little monkey nodded very intelligently.
The middle-aged Taoist priest admired Ziyue's courage and kindness. He asked curiously, "May I ask how you are addressed, fellow Taoist?"
Zi Yue replied with a smile, "My name is Zi Yue, and I come from Longhu Temple in the Ziyun Mountains."
"Dragon and Tiger Temple?!"
The middle-aged Taoist priest stared wide-eyed.
Seeing the middle-aged Taoist's surprised expression, Ziyue asked with some doubt, "Brother, you also know about the Dragon Tiger Temple?"
The middle-aged Taoist priest came to his senses and nodded, saying, "I have heard of the great name of the Dragon Tiger Temple."
Ziyue felt a little proud. She thought Longhu Temple wasn't famous, but she didn't expect so many people to know about it.
“Fellow Daoist, please heed my advice. Old Huai City is very dangerous. Do not enter the city yet. I have received news from the royal family of Yue Kingdom that many powerful figures are rushing from all over Zhongzhou. We will enter the city together then.”
Zi Yue said with a firm look in her eyes, "But those girls can't wait, Brother Dao, I'll go into the city first."
The middle-aged Taoist priest watched Ziyue walk towards the city gate, his expression becoming complicated. "This is troublesome."
