Summer night.
The sky was full of stars.
The croaking of frogs rose and fell in the fields.
There were also many fireflies around the big locust tree.
"My name is Qin Luo."
"You're also named Qin Luo?"
Little Qin Luo tilted his head and asked.
Is it possible that I am you?
"impossible."
Xiao Qinluo laughed heartily.
Qin Luo looked at his younger self, thought for a moment, and said with a smile, "You hid your New Year's money in your old pencil case, you used plastic jars to store glass beads, you liked to eat fried chicken legs, and what you wanted most was a bicycle."
Little Qin Luo, perched on the old locust tree, stared wide-eyed, his face filled with disbelief. "How did you know?"
Qin Luo looked at his own surprised expression and said softly, "Because I am you after you grow up."
"Really?"
Xiao Qinluo scratched his head.
Looking at the big locust tree in front of him, Qin Luo thought of his bad experiences, such as falling from the tree and breaking two bones, being unconscious for a long time, and being struck by lightning while resting under the tree. "It's dangerous up in the tree, and it will hurt a lot if you fall."
"Hehe, no way, I wouldn't fall even if I slept in a tree." Little Qin Luo looked puzzled. "Are you really me after I grew up?"
Qin Luo nodded. "You'd better stay away from this big locust tree, or you'll be in big trouble later."
Why?
Qin Luo's eyes were full of confusion.
Qin Luo wanted to tell him the reason, but after thinking about it, he shook his head and sighed, "Never mind, it's no use knowing. This is just a dream of mine."
"What dream?"
Xiao Qinluo became more and more confused as she listened.
"Xiao Luo, why are you talking to yourself?"
The girl in her school uniform walked to the vicinity of the big locust tree, and Qin Luo was somewhat lost in thought when he saw her.
Qin Xi attends junior high school in a nearby town. She has to attend evening self-study sessions and gets home quite late every day.
"elder sister."
Qin Luo shouted with a smile.
Qin Xi didn't hear Qin Luo's voice. Through her sister's reaction, Qin Luo realized that she couldn't see herself; only her younger self could see her.
Xiao Qinluo looked at Qin Xi's side and said, "Hey, she's my sister, not your sister."
Qin Xi raised her head and raised an eyebrow. "Your sister watched Uncle Jiu grow up. You think you can scare me?"
Little Qin Luo shook his head and pointed at Qin Luo, saying, "Sister, I didn't scare you. Do you know him?"
Qin Xi looked in the direction where Qin Luo was. Suddenly, she covered her face with her notebook, pretending to be scared, and shouted in a low voice, "How scary! There's a white-haired ghost!"
"Sister, don't be afraid. The teacher said that there are no ghosts in this world. He must have dyed his hair."
Qin Xi couldn't help but laugh out loud, "You've even gotten an acting role. It would be a waste of your talent if you didn't go into acting."
"Sister, can't you really see him?"
"Xiao Luo, have you had enough fun? Come down quickly, your sister still needs to go home and do her homework."
Why aren't you saying anything?
Xiao Qinluo looked at Qinluo, who remained silent.
Qin Luo was pondering whether the world before him was a dream or something real.
"Keep pretending, I'm not talking to you anymore." Qin Xi stomped her foot and walked home with her homework in her arms.
"Sister, I really didn't lie to you."
Xiao Qinlu excitedly stood up. He was standing on a branch of the big locust tree, but perhaps because he was in a hurry to explain, he lost his balance and fell directly off the tree.
"ah!"
Xiao Qinluo screamed in despair.
Qin Luo didn't have time to think. He reached out to catch his younger self, but suddenly everything went black.
A wave of pain washed over me.
Hearing the noise behind her, Qin Xi realized that her homework had fallen to the ground and she quickly ran back.
"Xiao Luo, Xiao Luo..."
Qin Luo could hear his sister calling him. He forced his eyes open and stood up as quickly as possible.
Qin Xi was terrified when she discovered her younger brother had fallen from the tree. Looking at Qin Luo, who had stood up, she asked anxiously, "Xiao Luo, are you alright?"
Looking at his dusty hands, Qin Luo wondered why his consciousness had reappeared in his childhood body. Seeing his sister's worried expression, Qin Luo endured the pain and forced a smile, "Sister, I'm fine."
"Don't scare me again!"
Qin Xi rubbed Qin Luo's head.
"Uh-huh."
Qin Luo nodded, forcing a smile.
Qin Xi went to pick up the homework that had fallen to the ground, while Qin Luo closed his eyes to check his injuries. He found that it was difficult to lift his left hand, and two bones were broken and dislocated, but fortunately it was in his shoulder.
Qin Luo gritted his teeth and used his right hand to reset the dislocated bone, a process that made him sweat profusely from the pain.
Qin Xi picked up her homework and turned to look at Qin Luo, noticing him wiping sweat from his forehead. "Xiao Luo, if you feel unwell anywhere, be sure to tell your sister."
"Sister, I'm fine."
Qin Luo replied, his face pale.
"Let's go home. Don't climb the big locust tree again. We won't be so lucky next time."
"knew."
Qin Luo followed his sister, and after walking a long way, he suddenly turned back to look at the big locust tree. The mist that had drifted in at some point made the big locust tree appear and disappear, making it seem somewhat mysterious, as if a pair of eyes were hidden in the mist.
...
"Mom, we're back!"
Qin Xi shouted loudly.
Qin Luo's family lived in a two-story house with a clear river in front, a lotus pond behind the house, and rice paddies on both sides. His mother, Xia Yan, was busy embroidering cross-stitch inside the house.
Xia Yan was embroidering a large cross-stitch pattern, which symbolizes harmony and prosperity in the family. She had heard from a friend that cross-stitch could earn money, with a two-meter-long cross-stitch piece potentially earning tens of thousands of yuan.
