Chapter 265 Liuyun Temple

Qin Luo found Hua Ying in the backyard of the temple. She was standing by a pond with a black lotus that emitted a faint light in it.

Don't overthink it.

“The Buddha was right.”

Qin Luo said softly, "There are three thousand great paths, and even Buddha may not know the whole picture. There are some things that no one can predict."

The black lotus swayed gently, as if nodding.

Hua Ying beamed and immediately perked up, "I thought you couldn't wait for me to leave."

"You're my cash cow."

"Hate."

Hua Ying burst out laughing.

Soon after, the thin little monk came to Qin Luo and the others. He gestured with his hands, indicating that their room was clean and they could go to rest.

"I'm going to sleep now."

"Uh-huh."

Qin Luo followed the little monk to an empty room to rest. The room was very clean. The little monk quietly closed the door and left. Hua Ying found the kitchen of Liuyun Temple. She took out the food she had brought with her and began to cook in the kitchen.

Bu Yan took a broom and went into the courtyard. He looked up and saw a cicada on a tree branch. The cicada was special; it was golden and didn't chirp.

The courtyard was quiet. After cleaning the courtyard, he sat on the steps and silently watched the cicada.

At noon, Huaying brought the prepared food to the courtyard. She saw Buyan sitting on the steps and said softly, "Little monk, it's getting late. There's still some food in the pot in the kitchen, which I've saved for you."

Without saying a word, he stood up, put his hands together, bowed to show his gratitude, and then walked towards the kitchen.

Hua Ying carried the food into Qin Luo's room. Qin Luo woke up when he heard the noise. He looked at the three dishes and one soup that Hua Ying had prepared and said with a smile, "We can't finish all this food. Why don't we send some to the seniors?"

"I left some food for them in the kitchen."

In the kitchen, Bu Yan took out steamed wild vegetable dumplings. He didn't eat them, but took them to the main hall and placed them on the altar in front of the Buddha statue. The old monk swallowed and said, "They eat meat, but give us wild vegetable dumplings. No wonder even the heavens can't stand it."
