In the dead of night.
On the street outside Qinghe Tower, Old Zhao knelt in front of a black brazier. He personally lit the talisman drawn by Qin Luo and put it into the brazier. The burning talisman spun in the brazier and finally burst open with a bang, sending countless sparks drifting into the depths of the night.
Old Zhao talked on and on to himself.
Xiao Tao and Dou Dou had tears in their eyes. They knew that Lao Zhao was all alone and helpless, but they never expected him to be so pitiful.
Xuanqing bowed towards the brazier.
As the flames dissipated into the sky, Old Zhao stood up and looked at Qin Luo standing beside him. Tears streamed down his face as he bent over and choked out, "Master Dao, thank you for the talisman. I can only repay your kindness by serving you like a slave from now on."
Qin Luo put his hand on Lao Zhao's shoulder. "Lao Zhao, I hope you can treat Xiao Tao and Dou Dou as family from now on and take good care of them. That's enough."
Old Zhao nodded heavily, tears streaming down his face. "When I was young, I liked to help the weak and fight against injustice, which made me many enemies in the martial arts world. Later, my family was implicated because I couldn't protect them. It's all my fault. I will definitely protect them in the future."
Xiao Tao stopped crying and smiled. "Old Zhao, I'm the eldest sister of Qinghelou. You can stay here and enjoy your retirement."
"That's right, that's right."
DouDou nodded with snot running down her face.
Qin Luo didn't know what to say, so he patted Lao Zhao on the shoulder and said, "It's getting late, everyone should get some rest."
Hua Ying stood upstairs.
She quietly rubbed her eyes.
The next day, early morning.
"Old Zhao, you look younger!"
When Wang Gui went downstairs, he ran into Old Zhao. He used to be hunched over and looked very old, but now he had a straight back, was much taller, and looked normal.
Looking at his hands, Old Zhao murmured, "When I woke up, I felt refreshed all over, and even walking became easier. I thought it was just my imagination, but it turned out to be real."
"When I woke up, I felt a bit feverish and sleepy," Wang Guiyi said, rubbing his eyes.
DouDou snorted coldly, "Who told you to be so greedy and eat so much? You can't enjoy it all."
"Sister Dou Dou, you don't understand. I was only eating like crazy because I was giving Sister A Zi face."
"You're really good at making excuses."
Xiaodie ran over and said, "Sister Azi has cooked congee with preserved egg and lean pork. She's calling you to the kitchen to eat."
"I'd rather die well-fed!"
Wang Guiyi was the first to run to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Xuan Qing sat on a stool drinking porridge, while Qin Luo drank plain porridge. He had been eating too well lately and wanted something light, so he served himself a bowl of plain porridge before adding the meat.
"Sister Zi, this porridge tastes so sweet."
"It might be because they use morning dew."
Wow! They actually used morning dew to make porridge!
"Wang Guiyi, why are you still drinking porridge? Aren't you afraid of stuffing yourself to death?"
"Only the fifth bowl."
We finished the whole pot of porridge.
Qin Luo went to the courtyard behind Qinghe Tower, stretched his muscles and clenched his fists.
Huaying was watering the flowers and plants in the yard.
Qin Luo's boxing technique was as smooth as flowing water, with clouds and mist swirling around his sleeves, making his figure appear and disappear.
Xuanqing imitated Qin Luo's boxing practice. At first, it felt a little awkward, but gradually he felt his body relax and open up.
As the sun rises, the clouds and mist that shrouded Nanjing dissipate, and golden rays of sunlight shine into Qinghe Tower.
After finishing his morning exercise, Qin Luo used his divine sense to examine himself. Although practicing martial arts could not heal the Great Dao injury, his body had been strengthened.
Back at Qinghe Tower, Qin Luo sat leisurely in a corner with a book and a cup of tea.
The noise outside the window had nothing to do with him.
In the blink of an eye.
Three days have passed.
It was early morning, before dawn.
Xiaodie packed her things and prepared to leave with Qin Luo. Xiaotao reminded her, "Xiaodie, take care on your journey. Qinghe Tower will always be your home. If you miss home, you can come back to visit anytime."
"Sister Tao, please take good care of yourselves too!"
Before leaving, Huaying took a blank wooden sign from the counter. She wrote "Azi" on the front of the sign and drew a small moon on the back.
Qin Luo looked at the moon painted by Hua Ying and recalled the moon mark he saw in the Forbidden Land of the Underworld.
Hua Ying handed the wooden sign to Dou Dou and said with a gentle smile, "Dou Dou, could you please hang this up for me?"
"Alright!"
DouDou hung HuaYing's wooden sign next to QinLuo's wooden sign, saying, "Sister AZi, you are welcome to come often."
Xuanqing held the Buddhist scripture and asked Xiaotao, "Sister Tao, may I borrow this book and return it to you later?"
“This Buddhist scripture was copied by Caixia before. Qinghelou has a few extras, you can take them,” Xiaotao said with a sweet smile.
As Xiaodie walked out of Qinghe Tower, she turned around again, bowed to Xiaotao and Doudou, and said with reluctance in her eyes, "Sister Xiaotao, Sister Doudou, please take care."
Xiao Tao nodded with a smile, "When you see Caixia, remember to tell her that we are all doing well."
"Uh-huh!"
Xiaodie nodded emphatically.
Watching Qin Luo and the others disappear into the morning mist, Wang Guiyi couldn't help but shed tears. Dou Dou, standing beside him, laughed out loud, "Aren't you a tough guy? You can cry too?"
"Of course, I've been eating so well these days. It's easy to go from frugality to extravagance, but difficult to go from extravagance to frugality. The thought of not having enough to eat or not eating well makes me sad." Wang Guiyi rubbed his eyes.
"You need to lose weight!"
Old Zhao patted Wang Guiyi on the shoulder.
In just a few days, Wang Guiyi gained weight.
Xiao Tao tossed a rag to Wang Guiyi, saying, "Stop lamenting and get to work, or we won't even have any porridge."
Meeting is always joyful, parting is always bittersweet.
......
Qin Luo and Hua Ying walked side by side, Xuan Qing followed behind carrying Buddhist scriptures, and Xiao Die brought up the rear. They didn't seem to be in a hurry, but rather like they were taking their children on a picnic.
