Qin Luo got up and came to Hua Ying's side. He looked at the mottled stone slab in front of him. In the middle was a tall humanoid creature with an indistinct face. Behind him was a large cauldron, and countless creatures were worshipping around it.
Seeing that they were attracted by the stone slab, Jiang Li stepped forward and said in a hoarse voice, "Master Qin, there is a creation pillar in Wushan that records a lot of ancient information. If you are interested, I can take you to see it."
Jiang Nanxi's eyes widened, and she said in shock, "Sister, the clan's rules..."
“Master Qin and his companions are honored guests; there are no taboos,” Jiang Li interrupted her sister.
Qin Luo knew that the place was definitely a forbidden area of the Witch Clan. He didn't want to cause trouble for Jiang Li. Just as he was about to refuse, Hua Ying said softly, "Then I'll have to trouble Miss Jiang."
Jiang Li, her face veiled in black, said softly, "Master Qin, would you like to rest for a while, or go now?"
"Take a break."
Qin Luo wasn't in a hurry. He smiled and said, "You're brewing medicine, right? Don't burn it."
"Oh dear, I almost forgot I'm still brewing medicine."
Jiang Nanxi immediately ran to the kitchen.
Jiang Li shook his head, somewhat helplessly, "My sister is sometimes just careless."
Qin Luo said with a smile, "Then you must take good care of her."
Jiang Li understood Qin Luo's unspoken meaning: she wanted her to live well. "Master Qin, you rest here first. I'll go and tell the clan elders."
"good."
Qin Luo nodded slightly.
The bamboo house became quiet. Qin Luo sat on a bamboo chair to rest, and Hua Ying handed Xiao Die a palm-leaf fan.
Xiaodie understood immediately, her eyes even filled with gratitude, for she was afraid of being useless.
Xuanqing found an old palm-leaf fan in the room. He and Xiaodie stood on either side of him, gently fanning themselves. Qin Luo and Huaying rested leisurely on bamboo chairs.
The bamboo leaves outside rustled.
Jiang Nanxi carried a bowl of medicine back to the bamboo house. She wanted to say something, but seeing that they were resting, she didn't disturb them.
Not long after, Jiang Li returned to the bamboo house. Jiang Nanxi, carrying the medicine, said softly, "Sister, this is your medicine."
Qin Luo and Hua Ying opened their eyes at the same time.
Jiang Li lifted her veil, picked up the medicine and drank it in one gulp. Then she looked at Qin Luo, lowered her head and said softly, "Master Dao, the clan elders have agreed to let you go to the forbidden area."
Qin Luo stood up and said with a smile, "Thank you for making this trip, Miss Jiang."
"Master Qin, please come with me."
Qin Luo and the others followed Jiang Li to the foot of Mount Wu.
At the foot of the mountain, on an open space, there were many strong young men dressed in bright red clothes, lined up in a long row, holding long wooden sticks with paper dragons at the other end.
Xuanqing asked curiously, "Isn't it a fire dragon?"
Jiang Nanxi nodded with a smile, "It's a fire dragon, but you won't see it until tomorrow night. Right now it's just a rehearsal, you'll see when it's over."
"I see."
Xuanqing was somewhat expectant.
At the foot of Wushan Mountain stands a massive palace, built against the mountainside, with a towering black cauldron standing before it.
This black cauldron is similar to the black cauldron Qin Luo had seen before, only this one is larger.
"It should also be one of the Nine Cauldrons."
Hua Ying looked at the black cauldron and said.
Qin Luo nodded. It seemed that the First Heavenly Emperor and the Human Emperor might indeed be incarnations of the Heavenly Dao.
Jiang Nanxi pointed to the palace not far away, "That is the Temple of Pantheon, the place where our Wu tribe worships the gods."
"Can we go in and take a look?"
"sure."
"After seeing the Pillars of Creation, we'll go to the Pantheon."
Jiang Li led Qin Luo and the others to the foot of Wushan Mountain, in front of a black stone wall. She reached out and touched the stone wall, and black ripples appeared around her palm.
There was an extremely hidden barrier here. A deep passage appeared in front of Jiang Li. She reached out her hand and invited, "Daoist Qin, this is the forbidden area of our Wu Clan. The clan elders have agreed to let you and Sister A Zi enter the forbidden area."
Qin Luo rubbed Xuan Qing's head and said, "You guys wait for us outside and don't wander off."
"Uh-huh."
Xuanqing and Xiaodie nodded obediently.
Qin Luo and Hua Ying followed Jiang Li into the passage, which was immediately illuminated by flames. The stone walls were carved with intricate murals that recorded the history of the Wu tribe.
Jiang Li explained the contents of the mural to Qin Luo and the others, "This is a scene of the Great Xia Emperor negotiating with the leader of the Wu tribe. The Great Xia Dynasty allows us to retain our beliefs, but forbids us from leaving the area within a hundred miles of Wushan."
Shenyan Lake is just a hundred miles away. Qin Luo now understands why Jiang Li said there was no chance. Hua Ying said softly, "Too many beliefs are not conducive to the rule of a dynasty."
"I see."
Jiang Li walked slowly forward, pointing to the mural in front of her. "This section records that after the war between the gods, the Wu tribe was ostracized, and many tribes began to migrate."
Qin Luo saw the records about the war between the gods. This war was different from what he had seen in the River of Time. He did not see any powerful members of the Wu Clan at that time, but in the records of the Wu Clan murals, the Wu Clan became the main force in overthrowing the Heavenly Court.
With pride in his eyes, Jiang Li said softly, "The ancestors of the Witch Clan believed that the New Heavenly Court was not legitimate, so they led the Witch Clan's powerful warriors to overthrow it. However, the Witch Clan's powerful warriors also perished in that battle, and the Witch Clan never recovered."
Qin Luo expressed doubts about the authenticity of these murals, but he did not expose them now.
Hua Ying said softly, "The Wu Clan must have contributed to that great battle between the gods back then, but the Five Emperors should have been the ones who truly decided the outcome."
"Um."
Jiang Li did not refute.
After walking a long distance, Qin Luo saw a Taoist standing on a mountain peak in the mural, surrounded by many powerful members of the Wu Clan. The scene was somewhat tragic.
