"The way of Heaven is to win without striving, to respond without speaking, to come without being summoned, and to plan skillfully with composure."
Ziyue and Jinyan were reading in the palace.
Qin Luo sat opposite them and said softly, "Do you understand what this means?"
Zi Yue shook her head blankly.
Jin Yan scratched his head. "Senior brother, does this mean we shouldn't compete?"
Qin Luo said in a deep voice, "It's not that we can't compete, it's that the Great Way doesn't compete. We shouldn't pursue material satisfaction, but enrich our spiritual world. The Way resides in our hearts."
"The Way resides within the heart."
Jin Yan's eyes lit up as he suddenly realized what was going on. Zi Yue, however, was holding her face in her hands, not quite understanding.
"I'm going to fight for it!"
The little dumpling puffed out its chest.
They act as if to say, "What can you do to me?"
Qin Luo flicked his finger, and the little dumpling rolled around on the table like a ball, making Zi Yue and Jin Yan laugh.
"Oh my!"
The little dumpling flapped its wings and stood firm.
"Immortal Master!"
"Help!"
Cries for help rang out from outside the hall.
Qin Luo immediately went outside the hall and saw a young woman holding a little boy in her arms. She was wearing tattered clothes, looked nervous, and had a look of despair in her eyes.
"Immortal Master, please save my child."
The young woman knelt on the ground.
Qin Luo looked at the child in her arms. The little boy's face was flushed, he was listless, and his breathing was getting weaker and weaker.
"There's something wrong with what he ate."
Qin Luo's eyes gleamed with golden light. He saw a powerful energy raging wildly within the little boy's body, an energy that his meridians could not withstand.
The young woman thought of the wild fruit she had picked in the mountains that morning and couldn't help but blame herself, saying, "It's all my fault."
"Now is not the time to talk about these things."
Qin Luo hugged the little boy and comforted him, "Don't worry, I will save his life."
"Thank you, Immortal Master."
The young woman kept kowtowing, her forehead was bleeding, and Ziyue and Jinyan quickly stepped forward to help her up.
Qin Luo placed his hand on the little boy's chest and drew out the violent energy. The little boy's condition stopped worsening, but the meridians in his body were already severely damaged.
Given the young woman's family circumstances, it would be difficult to provide the boy with nutritional supplements. He shared his own gentle energy with the child to help nourish his flesh and blood.
"mother!"
The little boy opened his eyes.
"Little Bao, Mom is here."
The young woman wept with joy.
Zi Yue and Jin Yan stood behind Qin Luo watching. When they saw that the little boy was alright, they smiled at each other.
"Go back and rest well."
"Don't eat random things in the future."
Qin Luo returned the little boy to the young woman.
The young woman was moved to tears, saying, "Thank you so much, Master. I am willing to serve you like an ox or a horse to repay your kindness."
"Give me whatever money you have."
"Okay, okay."
The young woman took out all the copper coins in her body, believing they could save her baby's life, and felt it was worth it no matter how much money it cost.
People often come to Longhu Temple seeking help, and Qin Luo will charge a fee depending on the situation. His master once said that everything comes at a price.
"Immortal Master, is this enough?"
That's enough.
Qin Luo handed the copper coin to Zi Yue.
Zi Yue beamed with joy. She realized that the money of ordinary working people smelled sweet, while the money of the rich smelled foul.
They saw the young woman off.
Qin Luo and the others returned to the main hall.
"You can take a break."
Zi Yue did not rest. She held a pen and drew talismans. The lines of the talismans were clear, imbued with spiritual energy, and radiated a luster.
Jin Yan is looking at a landscape painting.
Seeing his serious expression, Qin Luo chuckled and asked, "Junior Brother, what kind of magic do you want to learn?"
"It will be all right."
Jin Yan nodded excitedly.
"I will teach you the spell of generating light. This spell can generate golden light outside the body, and it can be used for both offense and defense. It is also relatively simple." Qin Luo wrote down the cultivation method of generating light, which he learned from the True Explanation of Daoist Methods. He also wrote down his own cultivation insights, which can help Jin Yan cultivate.
"These are incantations and cultivation methods. Silently reciting the incantation can help with cultivation. When you cultivate to a certain level, you will not need incantations; golden light will appear according to your thoughts."
"Thank you, senior brother."
Jin Yan looked excited.
He stared intently at the cultivation method.
Zi Yue was still drawing talismans. She knew that she couldn't bite off more than she could chew, and now she just wanted to learn the talisman techniques her senior brother had taught her well.
The talisman technique includes the Golden Light Talisman, which is the same as the spell Jin Yan learned, only the activation methods of the two spells are different.
There are three thousand great paths. All lead to the same destination.
"Boss, can you teach me magic?"
The little dumpling blinked its eyes frantically.
Qin Luo shook his head and said calmly, "You are not a disciple of Longhu Temple, so I cannot teach you."
"Chu mi chu mi".
The little dumpling rubbed its head against Qin Luo's clothes.
Qin Luo couldn't help but chuckle. He knew the little dumpling was clever, but it was different from Jin Yan. Jin Yan was suited to the cultivation methods of the human race, but the little dumpling was a bird and was not.
"Boss."
"Teach me any minor spells you like."
Qin Luo gently stroked its feathers and said with a smile, "Let me see if I can help you seek some good fortune."
"Really?"
The little dumpling's tuft of hair stood up.
Qin Luo's consciousness appeared in the jade pendant, and the figure of the purple-haired fairy became clearer and clearer. She was tall and slender, with an unparalleled and stunning back view. Her purple hair was cascading down like a waterfall. "Senior, do you have any spells suitable for the mountain sparrow to cultivate?"
The purple-haired fairy said softly, "I have a Devouring Heaven Technique here, which is suitable for birds to cultivate. I can give it to it."
"Thank you, senior."
Qin Luo cupped his hands in thanks.
A ray of purple light surged into the little dumpling's sea of consciousness. With a large influx of information, its little brain was a bit overwhelmed.
