Chapter 31 The Market at the Foot of the Mountain

Sunset Peak.

A simple porridge stall was set up at the foot of the mountain.

The porridge shop is located on the way to Longhu Temple. A sign hangs on the shop that offers free hot porridge. The shop also provides chairs and tea for people to rest.

Qin Luo arrived at the foot of the mountain. He looked at the porridge stall and thought it was very good. People who had come from afar could rest here, have a bowl of tea, and it provided a lot of convenience for everyone.

Zhao Qing'er helps out at the porridge shop. Despite being a wealthy young lady, she is willing to do good deeds in the mountains, which Qin Luo greatly admires.

There weren't many ordinary people drinking porridge at the porridge shop; it was mainly elderly people living alone and young children who drank it.

There are many impoverished people living near Luoxia Peak. They are too embarrassed to come here for porridge, so Zhao Qing'er specially asked her servants to bring them food.

Qin Luo saw an elderly man with a hunched back selling vegetables near the porridge shop. The old man lived near Chenjiagou and originally intended to carry the fresh vegetables to Baiyun Town to buy them. When he passed by here, he met some people who were planning to go to Longhu Temple to offer incense and pray for blessings. They asked the old man about the price, and the old man said he could sell them to them at a discount.

The vegetables sold out quickly, and the old man's face was full of smiles. He said that he wouldn't earn much more money even if he went to Baiyun Town, but he could sell vegetables near Longhu Temple, which made things much easier.

The hunched old man clasped his hands in a fist and bowed, "Miss Zhao, may I still be able to come here to buy groceries tomorrow?"

Zhao Qing'er smiled, her lips red and teeth white, elegant and poised. "Old man, this place is not under my jurisdiction. If you want to set up a stall, you'd better ask the immortal master of Longhu Temple."

She dared not make a decision for Longhu Temple.

Qin Luo happened to arrive at the porridge shop and overheard their conversation. He smiled and said, "Old man, you can set up a stall around here anytime you want."

"Thank you, Immortal Master."

The hunched old man bowed and expressed his gratitude.

"Immortal Master!"

Zhao Qing'er bowed slightly.

Hearing the stonemason chiseling stones in the river, Qin Luo smiled and asked, "Miss Zhao, are you planning to build a house here?"

“Immortal Master, I think the mountain path is too narrow and inconvenient to walk on. I would like to widen the mountain path and pave it with stone slabs.”

"This must cost a lot of money."

"It's meaningful as long as it can help others."

Qin Luo agreed with Zhao Qing'er's point of view, "Miss Zhao, I would appreciate it if you could manage the area at the foot of the mountain from now on. If it is in a mess, it may affect the people who come up the mountain to pray for blessings."

"Rest assured, Immortal Master, I will manage this place well." Zhao Qing'er readily agreed, feeling it was a great honor to have the Immortal Master's trust.

"Miss Zhao, if you encounter any difficulties, you can come to me."

"no problem."

After exchanging pleasantries.

Qin Luo turned around and returned to the Dragon Tiger Temple.

The porridge shop at the foot of the mountain gradually became lively. Zhao Qing'er returned to the porridge shop to help. He asked his servants to clear out an open space next to the porridge shop for vendors who wanted to set up stalls.

Ziyue heard Jin Yan say that there was a porridge shop at the foot of the mountain. She stood outside the Taoist temple and looked out, her little face serious as she said, "If you sell mutton soup here, the business will definitely be very good."

Qin Luo came to her side and said, "The world is bustling, all for profit. If this place can really make money, there will definitely be all kinds of shops."

"What my senior brother said makes sense."

Ziyue hoped that the area down the mountain would become lively, so that she could drink mutton soup anytime. Just thinking about it made her feel wonderful.

"Chu mi!"

The little dumpling returned with two spirit fruits. Knowing that Qin Luo didn't eat spirit fruits, it directly gave them to Zi Yue and Jin Yan.

I love you!

Ziyue blew a kiss to the little dumpling, wiped the spirit fruit with her clothes, then put it in her mouth and chewed it. She felt warm inside and full of energy.

"Thank you, Sister Tuanzi."

Jin Yan grinned at the little dumpling.

Zi Yue was somewhat surprised, "Junior Brother, why do you call it Sister Tuanzi?"

Jin Yan looked simple and honest. He scratched his head and said, "It said it's five hundred years old and told me to call it Sister Tuanzi."

"I didn't realize you were such a veteran." Zi Yue's eyes widened as she stared at the round little dumpling.

"Chirp chirp chirp".

The little dumpling proudly raised its head.

Qin Luo grabbed its tuft of hair and spun it in his hand like a windmill, shaking his head slightly. "Don't listen to its nonsense. This guy is lying to you. It's just a stupid bird."

Pfft!

Zi Yue and Jin Yan burst into laughter.

The little dumpling was almost dizzy from being spun around, its eyes sparkling. "Boss, I'm very smart."

Qin Luo picked up the little dumpling and said seriously, "Don't try to intimidate others in the future."

The little dumpling was a bit dizzy. It tilted its head and asked, "Boss, what does 'a fox borrowing the tiger's might' mean?"

"You can't rely on the Dragon Tiger Temple to freeload. You're not allowed to ask the Golden Eagle for spirit fruits anymore. If you don't have the ability, go catch insects to eat." Qin Luo said seriously.

He didn't want his little dumpling to go astray.

The little dumpling nodded with a pitiful look on its face.

The foot of Luoxia Peak has become bustling with activity due to the porridge stalls, and more people are coming to Longhu Temple to offer incense and pray for blessings. Many savvy people have seen the business opportunities here.

In the blink of an eye.

Two days have passed.

At the foot of the mountain, a small market has sprung up, with vendors selling vegetables, herbs, farm tools, and food; all sorts of businesses have sprung up like mushrooms after rain.

Under Zhao Qing'er's management, the market at the foot of the mountain became well-organized and grew larger and larger.

early morning.

Zhang Fulong was checking the incense money in the main hall when he heard a commotion outside. He muttered to himself, "Am I hearing things? Why does it feel like there's a bustling market nearby?"

Zi Yue raised an eyebrow. "Master, there are many vendors selling things at the foot of the mountain. It's like a bustling market down there. The incense offerings at the Taoist temple have been increasing recently."

"Is that so?"

Zhang Fulong's eyes lit up immediately. He lived on the mountain year-round and rarely even went to Baiyun Town. Hearing that there was a market at the foot of the mountain, he became interested.
