Chapter 314 Lin Jia'er

The next day, early morning.

Qin Luo and Lin Xuan squatted in the courtyard drinking porridge, just like they had done years ago in the backyard of the Taoist temple.

Yao Shuang entered the courtyard, somewhat puzzled. "Junior Brother Qin, where is Miss A Zi?"

"Azi has to go now."

"Miss Azi is quite nice."

"It's pretty good."

Lin Xuan chuckled and teased, "Junior Brother Qin, you mustn't hold her back."

Qin Luo nodded, "Senior brother is right."

"Look at what you're saying."

Yao Shuang glared at Lin Xuan, "Junior Brother Qin, your senior brother doesn't know how to speak properly, don't take it to heart."

Qin Luo didn't mind and smiled, "Sister-in-law, Senior Brother Lin is right."

After finishing their porridge, before dawn, Lin Xuan led Qin Luo to Chang Le Village, which was not far from Yongfeng Town.

Chang Le Village, Yao Family.

The Yao family lived in a small courtyard house, which was considered a large household in the village. Before Qin Luo and his group even entered the house, they could hear laughter coming from the courtyard.

"Jia'er, slow down, don't scare Grandma."

"It's okay, it's okay."

When Qin Luo and the others arrived in the courtyard, they saw a little girl in a red dress with two braids rolling a millstone. Although the millstone was not large, it weighed at least 100 or 200 pounds, and the little girl easily pushed it around in the courtyard.

"Lin Jia'er!"

Yao Shuang scolded.

Upon hearing Yao Shuang's voice, Lin Jia'er picked up the millstone and ran to put it back in its original position.

The girl had a very good constitution. Qin Luo could tell at a glance that she had undergone a medicinal bath and taken pills to improve her constitution. It was obvious that Lin Xuan had given her a lot of resources.

The old woman with a full head of white hair looked at Yao Shuang as if she had seen a savior, saying, "Only you can keep this girl in check."

Lin Jia'er pretended not to see Qin Luo and the others and walked towards the backyard. Yao Shuang said coldly, "Lin Jia'er!"

Seeing Yao Shuang's cold face, Lin Jia'er ran over and hugged Lin Xuan's leg, "Dad, why are you here?"

Lin Xuan bent down and patted Lin Jia'er's head, then introduced her with a smile: "This is your Uncle Qin, quickly call him Uncle Qin."

"Hello, Uncle Qin!"

Lin Jia'er blinked her big, bright eyes.

Qin Luo asked with a smile, "Do you want to study?"

"In no mood!"

Lin Jia'er shook her head vigorously.

Qin Luo smiled gently and said, "Jia'er, you can go to Mirror Lake Academy with Uncle Qin. If you don't like it there, I can send you back."

Lin Jia'er clung tightly to Lin Xuan's leg, "I'm very smart, you're definitely trying to trick me into counting money for you."

Qin Luo was amused by the little girl.

Yao Shuang said coldly with a stern face, "If you don't study, you won't even know how to count money."

"that is."

The silver-haired old woman echoed her sentiments.

Lin Xuan's tone was much gentler, "Jia'er, your Uncle Qin is my junior brother. We used to sleep in the same bed, and we were as close as brothers. He wouldn't lie to you."

"But I don't want to study."

"Just think of it as going out with me."

Qin Luo said gently, "Uncle Qin will take you to Mirror Lake Academy. There is a stream there where you can catch fish and pick wild fruits. If you get tired of playing there, Uncle Qin will take you back."

Hearing that it was a trip to play and that she could even slack off, Lin Jia immediately became interested. She was often confined at home and couldn't go out. She looked at Qin Luo with her bright, watery eyes and said, "Then you can't lie to me."

Qin Luo squatted down, extended his little finger, and said gently, "Let's pinky swear, I'll be a dog if I'm lying."

"Pinky promise!"

Lin Jia smiled happily.

Lin Xuan and Yao Shuang exchanged a smile.

When Qin Luo first arrived at Longhu Temple, he lived and ate with Lin Xuan. Fortunately, with the help of his senior brother, he was able to adapt to life at Longhu Temple. Now that Jinghu Academy has been established, he hopes to help Lin Xuan so that Lin Jia'er can study well.

A sturdy boy dressed in gray, carrying a bamboo basket, came into the yard. When he saw Qin Luo and the others, he smiled and called out, "Dad, Mom, this uncle looks really familiar."

Yao Shuang smiled and said, "Jun'er, this is your Uncle Qin."

Lin Jun was tall and slender, with a peach charm hanging from his waist. His eyes were bright, and he said excitedly, "Uncle Qin, I often hear my father mention you."

Qin Luo stood up and looked Lin Jun up and down. "I used to hold you when you were little. You've grown so much."

Seeing Lin Jun grow up so much, Qin Luo felt that time had flown by, and he had never really enjoyed life.

"Uncle Qin, I've been wearing the peach charm you gave me. Thanks to you, I always return from the mountains with a full load."

"Are you going into the mountains to collect medicinal herbs?"

Lin Jun smiled and nodded, "Yes."

Yao Shuang said softly, "This child insisted on going into the mountains to help his father gather herbs because he saw how hard we were working."

"Mom, I'm just bored."

Lin Jun scratched his head.

Lin Jia'er pouted, her little face showing grievance, and said, "Mom, I'm bored too, none of you play with me."

Qin Luo looked at Lin Jun with a serious expression and said, "If you want to cultivate at Longhu Temple, you can come with me."

Lin Jun smiled and shook his head, "Thank you for your kindness, Uncle Qin, but I want to learn medicine from my father."

"Studying medicine is good."

Qin Luo nodded. "Senior brother, Jun'er looks like you. This child will definitely amount to something in the future."

"I only pray that he is safe and healthy."

Lin Xuan and Yao Shuang had smiles in their eyes.

"Jia'er, these are your clothes."

When the silver-haired old woman heard that Lin Jia'er was going to Jinghu Academy, she quickly packed her luggage.

Qin Luo took the bundle from Lin Jia'er, and the bulging bundle instantly shrank before he put it in his pocket.

This scene left everyone dumbfounded. Lin Xuan remained relatively calm, while Lin Jia'er stood on tiptoe, her hands hanging on the sides of Qin Luo's pockets, trying to see what was inside.

Seeing Qin Luo's abilities, Yao Shuang and the others were no longer worried about encountering problems on the road.
