Autumn harvest and winter storage.
Before we know it, the end of the year is approaching.
The Purple Cloud Mountains were covered in silver snow. Qin Luo was enjoying his leisure time, fishing alone by the river, surrounded by a pure aura that seemed to blend into the snowstorm.
"Master Qin, do you have a mouth?"
"not yet."
Qin Luo looked at Lao Gao who had walked nearby and noticed that he was carrying a bamboo cage and wearing thin clothes.
"Old Gao, aren't you cold?"
"Master Qin, I feel it's been quite hot lately."
The sound of cicadas reached Qin Luo's ears. He looked up and saw a dazzling sun in the sky.
It was the dead of winter, and there should have been heavy snowfall. Qin Luo looked closely and a snowflake drifted into his eyes. A blizzard was hitting him, and when he looked in the direction where Lao Gao was, all he saw was a vast expanse of white.
Qin Luo understood that it wasn't an illusion, but rather that his consciousness appeared in his future body while he was cultivating the One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones, which was why he was able to communicate with Lao Gao from the future.
As dusk fell, Qin Luo put away his bamboo pole and spotted a fruit tree in the forest laden with wild pears.
The wild pears were small, of poor quality, and probably didn't taste good either, but Qin Luo didn't mind. He picked some wild pears, a smile on his face, "At least I didn't go home empty-handed."
Outside the Dragon and Tiger Temple on Luoxia Peak, Zhang Fulong sat on the mountain path. He was covered with a thick layer of snow, his cloudy eyes stared into the distance, his pale face was full of wrinkles, and his body was trembling incessantly.
After Ziyue left Longhu Temple, Zhang Fulong often sat here, and no one knew what he was doing here.
When Qin Luo returned to Longhu Temple, he saw Zhang Fulong shivering from the cold and went to help him up, saying, "Master, it's freezing cold outside. It's easy to get sick. If Junior Sister comes back and sees you like this, she'll definitely feel sorry for you."
With Qin Luo's help, Zhang Fulong stood up. His voice trembled from the cold, and his gaze remained fixed on the distance. "The end of the year is approaching. I wonder if Ziyue will come back."
"Master, aren't you good at fortune telling?"
Qin Luo asked with a smile.
Zhang Fulong shook his head self-deprecatingly.
Qin Luo gently patted the snow off Zhang Fulong. "Master, it's cold outside. Let's go back to the Taoist temple first."
"I'm not cold."
"I know."
Qin Luo helped Zhang Fulong back to the Taoist temple. Xiao Die was sweeping the snow off the temple, while Jin Yan was chopping firewood in the backyard.
Lin Jia'er returned to Yongfeng Town for the New Year. The little dumpling was still sleeping in bed. Caixia was in the backyard of the Taoist temple, picking peach gum in front of the peach tree. The Taoist temple was very quiet.
Qin Luo helped Zhang Fulong sit down under the peach tree. He said respectfully, "Master, please sit here for a while. I'll go and make you some hot soup to warm you up."
Zhang Fulong nodded repeatedly, his eyes glistening with tears, and he couldn't help but raise his hand to rub his eyes.
Qin Luo came to Caixia's side and said with a smile, "Little junior sister, give me some peach gum, I'll go stew pears."
"Senior brother, let me do it!"
Let's go together.
Qin Luo chopped up the wild pears, Cai Xia washed the peach gum, and Jin Yan also came to the kitchen to help start the fire.
Jin Yan sat by the stove and asked with a simple smile, "Senior brother, have you caught any fish lately?"
Qin Luo shook his head and chuckled, "No, it seems my fishing method is wrong, I still need to learn."
Caixia blinked, somewhat puzzled. "Senior brother, no matter the wind or rain, you always go fishing by the river whenever you have free time. Do you really want to fish?"
Jin Yan had the same question: if Qin Luo really liked fishing, then he would definitely be able to catch fish.
Qin Luo said with a smile, "Meditating and cultivating is a bit boring. Fishing can help pass the time."
"I see. Senior brother is truly amazing. I can't do two things at once." Jin Yan suddenly realized.
Qin Luo said seriously, "Being able to do something tirelessly is what truly makes you amazing."
Jin Yan and Cai Xia exchanged a smile. They lived a repetitive life at Longhu Temple, yet they still found it interesting.
Soon, a delicious aroma wafted from the kitchen. Caixia brought a steaming bowl of peach gum stewed with pears to Zhang Fulong and said respectfully, "Master, it's a little hot, please drink slowly."
"good."
Zhang Fulong swallowed hard. He picked up the bowl, blew on it twice, and then took a small sip. A warm feeling flowed through his body, dispelling the chill of winter.
"It smells so good!"
The little girl, wearing a red dress and barefoot in the snow, ran to the kitchen. "Big brother, I want to drink too!"
Qin Luo served her a bowl of peach gum stewed with pear.
"It will be dark by the time I get to sleep a little longer."
"Hehe, boss, I'm still a little sleepy. I'll drink this and then sleep for a while!" The little dumpling gulped down the peach gum stewed pear.
Qin Luo smiled slightly. He carried two bowls of peach gum stewed with pears to the backyard of the Taoist temple. He gave one bowl to Xiao Die, who was cleaning the temple, and the other bowl to Jin Jiao, who was guarding the temple.
...
The ice and snow melt, and spring arrives with blooming flowers.
In the blink of an eye, it's another year. Ziyue didn't return to the Ziyun Mountains; everything was the same as in previous years.
In early spring, busy figures could be seen everywhere in the Ziyun Mountains. Qin Luo led the younger generation to a hillside near Jinghu Academy. There was a wasteland there, overgrown with weeds and with many stones. "The first lesson of the new year is to cultivate wasteland. Everyone, turn the soil first and clean up the debris."
"good!"
"Charge!"
The younger generation is full of fighting spirit.
At first, the younger generation chatted and laughed, but after half an hour, they were panting and exhausted and stopped talking and laughing.
Qin Luo stood aside, watching the younger generation till the land, and said, "Rest when you're tired, don't push yourself."
Upon hearing this, the younger generation straightened up one after another, wiping the sweat from their faces with their sleeves. Only Li Guannan and Zhou Peng continued to plow the land, as if they were competing with each other, neither willing to rest first.
