Beize Mountain, the ancestral home of the Zhang family.
Qin Luo chatted with the Zhang family patriarch about the past.
The Zhang family patriarch sighed, "Back then, I was also a highly talented cultivator, one of the best among my peers. But during that great battle of gods, I was an unknown figure. I followed at the very back of the procession and never even saw a corner of the magnificent Heavenly Court. At that time, all cultivators were united in their desire for freedom, but after the great battle of gods ended, I could only eke out a living and was not free."
Looking at the reborn Zhang family patriarch, Qin Luo asked, "Senior, do you feel free right now?"
The Zhang family patriarch stood tall and radiant. He humbly shook his head and said, “I used to think that overthrowing the Heavenly Court would bring me freedom. But after struggling for so many years, I have come to realize that the freedom we seek is never-ending.”
"Most of the cultivators who followed the Five Emperors back then died or were injured. The old, weak, sick, and disabled were assigned to the Lower Three Heavens, while the strong went to the Upper Three Heavens. It is still a world where the strong prey on the weak."
The Zhang family patriarch sighed softly.
Qin Luo said earnestly, "I hope that one day, the weak in this world can also live freely."
"That would be perfect."
The Zhang family patriarch was somewhat puzzled. "In that earth-shattering battle back then, many Taoist sects chose to stand by and watch, and some even joined the Five Emperors' camp. Master Zhang chose to help the Heavenly Court. He values rules and emphasizes the law. Master Qin, do you want to reshape the rules of this world?"
Qin Luo replied with a smile, "Senior, I don't have such thoughts. This world belongs to all living beings, and I think there will be a time in the future when everyone works together and the world unites as one."
The Zhang family patriarch's eyes shone, and he nodded heavily, "Master Qin, this time, I want to follow you."
"Thank you for your trust, senior."
Qin Luo sensed that many cultivators were approaching. He stood up and smiled, saying, "Senior, I won't disturb you any longer. We'll meet again someday."
"Master Qin, let me see you off."
The Zhang family patriarch personally saw Qin Luo off.
As they left the Zhang family ancestral home, the Zhang family members gathered around looked at the Zhang family patriarch with shock in their eyes. The Zhang family patriarch, who had previously been hunched over and with declining health, was now tall and vigorous.
An elder, leaning on a cane, exclaimed excitedly, "Our ancestor has broken through the shackles and entered the Immortal King realm! Our Zhang family can now be ranked among the Immortal Clan!!!"
The younger generation was overjoyed.
The older generation of powerful figures wiped away tears of emotion.
Only families with a Celestial King in charge can be considered Celestial Clan.
Zhang Qian knew this was no accident; it must be Qin Luo's doing. She hadn't found the elixir of life in Xuanling Heaven, but she had found a powerful figure who could defy fate. She exclaimed with delight, "I wonder if those geniuses will regret this?"
"Respectfully seeing off Daoist Qin!"
The Zhang family patriarch bowed respectfully.
Qin Luo boarded the immortal ship and left Beize Mountain. As soon as they left, cultivators came to visit the Zhang family. Congratulations came from all directions, and soon the Zhang family was filled with guests.
...
On the celestial ship, Zhong Quan asked with awe, "Master Dao, where are we going now?"
Qin Luo gazed into the distance and saw a magnificent picture scroll woven from golden mist. "The world is full of great beauty, yet it remains silent. Let's take a stroll around Wuji Heaven first."
A golden celestial ship traverses the boundless heavens.
Wisps of golden mist surged toward Qin Luo.
Two weeks later.
The golden fairy ship has arrived in Flying Immortal City once again.
Qin Luo and his group made a brief stop in the city before leaving Wuji Heaven via the city's Immortal Realm Ferry.
The four heavens of the celestial realm, the Boundless Heaven.
A golden fairy ship appeared on the sea filled with lotus flowers. In the distance, there were bursts of Buddhist chants. Qin Luo looked into the depths of the sea, where there was a majestic Buddha statue taller than a mountain, shining with golden light. The Buddha statue held a temple in its hands.
"Master Dao, that's the Temple in the Palm of Your Hand. The celestial ferry crossing of Boundless Heaven is located at the Lotus Platform nearby."
Above the sea is a massive lotus platform, which is the celestial ferry crossing connecting to the Asura Heaven.
"Let's go check out the temple first."
Zhong Quan moored the fairy boat near the Palm Temple.
Qin Luo arrived at Zhangzhong Temple alone. The monks around him seemed not to see him. Some were sweeping the floor, while others were chanting sutras. This place was located on the sea, far from the secular world, and ordinary people could hardly approach it. The temple was full of Buddhist disciples.
Inside the main hall of the temple, there was a large Buddha statue. Qin Luo walked into the hall, and the magnificent Buddha statue was like a great sun, solemn and majestic, with its hands supporting the temple.
Qin Luo looked at the small temple in the Buddha statue's hands; there was also a Buddha statue in that small temple.
Qin Luo bowed respectfully to the Buddha statue.
The old abbot, dressed in a bright red kasaya, saw Qin Luo bowing and, somewhat curious, approached him and asked, "Young friend, what brings you to Zhangzhong Temple?"
Qin Luo smiled slightly and said softly, "I hope Buddha can return safely from beyond the realm."
The old abbot's eyes widened. In all his years at Zhangzhong Temple, he had seen many practitioners, but this was the first time he had ever heard of someone praying for the Buddha. "May I ask where you come from, young friend?"
"I am Qin Luo, a junior from Longhu Temple."
Qin Luo smiled slightly.
"Master Qin, why are you praying for Buddha?"
"Buddha and the founder of Confucianism protect us from beyond our borders, so seeing a Buddha statue naturally reminds us of Buddha."
"good!"
The old host lamented, "Many people have long forgotten them, let alone prayed for them."
Qin Luo asked with some confusion, "Why did you build the Temple in the Palm of Your Hand in a place far removed from worldly affairs?"
The old abbot put his hands together and said, "The Temple in the Palm was founded by Venerable Kasyapa, a disciple of the Buddha. Venerable Kasyapa said that temples are places for spiritual practice and should be far away from incense offerings."
“A stick of incense burning for half an hour will consume the luck of an ordinary person for many years and shorten their lifespan. Therefore, Venerable Kasyapa built the Palm Temple in a place far away from the secular world.”
