Qin Luo asked with a smile, "Jinghu Academy is closed today, why are you up so early?"
"Yes, I'll go back and sleep a little longer."
The little dumpling turned and ran back to its room.
In the main hall of the Taoist temple, Lin Jia'er was studying medical books. She would ask Jin Yan and Cai Xia questions when she didn't understand something.
Xiaodie was sweeping the floor of the Taoist temple with a broom, while Jinjiao was sweeping the fallen leaves on the mountain path with his tail.
Qin Luo greeted them with a smile. When he arrived at the riverbank with his fishing rod, Lao Gao was fishing.
"Old Gao, you're here really early."
"Master Dao, I've been doing nothing lately."
Qin Luo cast his fishing rod and said with a smile, "Old Gao, I'm about to embark on a long journey, and I'll have to trouble you to take care of Little Dumpling."
"You flatter me, Master Dao. It's all thanks to Little Dumpling taking care of me."
"Little dumpling, please listen to you. When she's being irrational, please remind her."
Old Gao believed that the little dumpling wouldn't lose his mind, but he still nodded, "Okay, Master Dao."
While they were chatting, Qin Luo's fishing rod made a sound, and Lao Gao quickly reminded him, "Master Dao, you've got a fish! Quickly lift the fishing rod up."
Qin Luo gently lifted it.
A yellow-spotted fish leaps out of the water.
Old Gao was even more excited than Qin Luo, "Hahahaha, Daoist, you finally caught a fish!"
Qin Luo looked at the yellowfin bream tied to the end of the fishing line, shook his head, and smiled, "Old Gao, I didn't catch this fish, it gave it to me."
Old Gao looked into the river and saw an old otter surface. His eyes widened in surprise.
When the old otter saw Lao Gao's surprised expression, it covered its mouth and chuckled.
"I see."
Old Gao laughed along.
Half an hour later, Qin Luo stood up and said, "Old Gao, you take your time fishing. I'm going to go for a walk in the mountains."
Old Gao nodded and said, "Take care, Daoist Master."
Qin Luo is preparing for a long trip and doesn't know when he will be able to return, so he wanted to tell his friends in the mountains.
