The Chaotic Sea.
Qin Luo walked in the direction where the extraterrestrial demons had retreated, hoping to gather information about the Chaos Sea through them.
The entire route was littered with the remains of extraterrestrial demons.
Qin Luo followed the wreckage to track down the extraterrestrial demons. He saw a familiar figure, a demonic shadow with a hole in its chest, being surrounded and killed. It fought back fiercely, smashing an approaching extraterrestrial demon with a punch, but it could not repel the large number of extraterrestrial demons and was overwhelmed in the blink of an eye.
"Enough!"
Qin Luo said softly.
Upon hearing this, the surrounding extraterrestrial demons scattered and fled, leaving only the dying extraterrestrial demon behind. He looked at Qin Luo approaching and said with a self-deprecating laugh, "I never thought that you would be the one who took my life, and also the one who saved me."
You deserve to die!
There was no pity in Qin Luo's eyes.
"You're right, but dying like this is so pathetic. I haven't even had my revenge yet!"
Who are your enemies?
"Eternal Race".
The extraterrestrial demon clenched his fist.
Looking at the dying extraterrestrial demon before him, Qin Luo sensed something special about it and asked softly, "You are not a primordial being born from the Chaos Sea. Where do you come from?"
The extraterrestrial demon coughed and said, "My name is Cang, and I come from the Desolate Continent."
Why have you come?
Qin Luo inquired.
Cang's eyes were filled with resentment as he smiled bitterly, "The Eternal Clan stole the primordial matter of the Heavenly Desolate Continent, causing my world to perish. I was forced to search for a new home in the Chaos Sea. Many of these guys are like me, having their homes taken away by the Eternal Clan and now forced to wander in the Chaos Sea."
Qin Luo frowned. "Where is the Eternal Clan?"
"The Eternals live in the deepest part of the Chaos Sea. Any world that they set their sights on will eventually perish. You'd better not encounter them, or not only will you be in trouble, but your world will also be doomed."
Reminded by Cang, Qin Luo recalled a scene he had seen many years ago. In the river of time, he saw warships appear in his world. Whether it was extraterrestrial demons or the Eternal Race, he had to go back to prevent the disaster from happening.
"Thank you for reminding me."
Do you know the ancient path in the Chaos Sea?
Qin Luo continued to ask questions.
Cang nodded weakly, "There are many ancient paths in the Chaos Sea, but that place seems to be forbidden, and no living being dares to approach it. I wonder which ancient path you are looking for?"
"The closest ancient road to here."
"In that direction."
Cang pointed into the distance.
Qin Luo cupped his hands and said, "Thank you."
Cang raised a hand, in which he held a green seed, and said in a weak voice, "In my hometown there is a divine tree called Chun, whose leaves are very beautiful."
Qin Luo took the seed from Cang's hand. "I will take this seed to the other side and let it take root and sprout."
"Thanks."
A smile appeared on Cang's face as his body began to collapse. After Qin Luo left, the surrounding extraterrestrial demons began to fight over Cang's shattered remains.
Much later.
Qin Luo found the ancient path that Cang had pointed out in the chaotic sea; the gray-white steps were mysterious and ancient.
The surroundings were unusually quiet, and even the extraterrestrial demons dared not approach this place. Qin Luo saw blood-red footprints on the steps and sensed a familiar aura.
"The footprints were left by the Purple Emperor."
The blood-red footprints were left by the Purple Emperor a long time ago, but Qin Luo felt that the footprints were left not long ago, as time seemed to be imperceptible here.
Qin Luo stepped onto the ancient road, and soon after, the Purple Emperor's footprints disappeared. "It seems that the Purple Emperor did not reach the end of the ancient road."
The ancient road still stretches as far as the eye can see.
Qin Luo continued forward, and after an unknown amount of time, he arrived at the end of the ancient road. Before him lay a desolate wasteland, and around him were many similar roads, all with the same destination: a dazzling light in the distance.
Behind that dazzling light, there was a door radiating azure light, a door so vast that stars seemed like grains of sand before it.
Qin Luo walked towards the door. As he approached, he noticed the golden throne hanging high in the sky. The beings on the throne radiated dazzling light. Below the throne were two majestic figures with holy halos behind them. On either side of the throne were seventy-two divine pillars, each with a terrifying being on it, stronger than the heavens.
When Qin Luo appeared in the wasteland, the beings on the golden throne also noticed his presence.
Qin Luo was not afraid. He walked calmly toward the golden throne. All the creatures on the surrounding divine pillars were watching him with hostility in their eyes.
As Qin Luo approached, a majestic female voice rang out from the right side of the golden throne.
"If you see eternity, why not worship it?"
Qin Luo looked around. He could feel the rich life energy around him, completely different from the lifeless atmosphere of the Chaos Sea. Finally, he looked at the golden throne high above, his eyes filled with doubt, "Are you eternal?"
"Kneel down immediately!"
A majestic male voice rang out from the left side of the golden throne.
That was an oppressive aura that could chill all living beings to the bone, yet Qin Luo remained fearless. He guessed that these beings might be the Eternal Race that Cang had spoken of. "Can I not kneel?"
The creatures standing on the divine pillar wore strange expressions; it was the first time they had heard such an answer.
The being on the golden throne spoke slowly, "It has been a long time since a being has been able to reach this place. You are quite remarkable, having come here despite the injuries of the Great Dao. As long as you join the Eternal Race, I will grant you eternal life."
The voice from the throne was unquestionable, but the beings standing on the divine pillar became tense, and the further back they were, the stronger their killing intent towards Qin Luo became.
Qin Luo asked calmly, "What is the price?"
"Become an eternal guardian!"
The voice was extremely authoritative.
