Jinsha River.
Jinlong was pulled to the shore.
The girl in the purple dress looked at the mudfish spirit before her, her pale purple eyes narrowing slightly. "Who made you a god and even condensed a divine essence for you?"
The loach spirit developed golden scales and long, thin golden whiskers, resembling a golden dragonfish.
"It's the Dao Ancestor!"
Jinlong dared not hide it.
"Dao Ancestor?"
The girl in the purple dress clearly didn't believe her, her voice turning cold, "Don't talk nonsense, who is it?"
“I will tell you, I will tell you. It was a young Taoist priest. I don’t know what the immortal master’s name was, but he appointed me as the river god of the Jinsha River in the name of the Taoist ancestor.”
Jinlong is afraid of death.
Tell us everything you can.
"A young Taoist priest?"
The girl in the purple dress frowned slightly, a hint of surprise in her beautiful eyes, as she recalled the young Taoist priest. "It was him?"
Tang Yao was certain it was Qin Luo. She knew about the conferment of gods at Longhu Temple in Jinyang City, but she didn't expect Qin Luo to go so far to do it. Did this guy even respect the Imperial Observatory?
"My lord, this little river god can't cause any trouble. Please spare it." Tang Yao pleaded for the golden dragon. She didn't want to clash with the Dragon Tiger Temple. It wasn't that she was afraid of the temple, but Qin Luo had saved her, and she didn't want to be his enemy.
"Look how weak it is now. It will be a big problem if it absorbs incense offerings in the future." The girl in the purple dress had a rather cold look in her eyes.
"Fairy, spare me! Do you think I want to be a river god? No way! Isn't it better to just sleep in the mud every day? Being a river god is too tiring. Can't I just not be a river god?"
Jinlong started playing the victim.
Tang Yao said respectfully with her pretty face, "My lord, this bridge was built to benefit the people. That young Taoist priest must have meant well. Why make things difficult for the little river god?"
"yes."
"The immortal master instructed me to protect the people on both sides of the strait."
Jinlong wept uncontrollably, feeling wronged.
The girl in the purple dress said softly, "I will not kill you, but I will erase your divine mark."
"Thank you, fairy!"
Jinlong was overjoyed.
Being a river god is a worthwhile experience.
I can sing along the Jinsha River for the rest of my life.
Purple light condensed on the slender fingers of the girl in the purple dress. This purple light landed on the golden dragon's brow, attempting to dismantle its divine mark, but the purple light vanished.
Rumble!
A muffled rumble of thunder sounded, dark clouds gathered over the Jinsha River, and lightning flashed across the sky.
Tang Yao felt a chill run down her spine. "My lord, this river god seems to have a great deal of karma attached to him."
The girl in the purple dress stared at the lightning in the dark clouds. She felt a terrifying power and finally released the golden dragon, which immediately burrowed into the Jinsha River and hid deep in the mud.
The dark clouds in the sky quickly dissipated, and upon seeing this, Tang Yao and the girl in the purple dress looked at each other.
“Something’s not right. After the Dao Ancestor died, all the gods in the world lost their protection. Why would a little river god receive protection? Could it be that the Dao Ancestor has come back to life?” The girl in the purple dress frowned. She had a vague feeling that there was a big game going on.
"Is he a Taoist priest from Bailu Temple?"
"It should be."
"Let's go to Bailu Temple."
The girl in the purple dress returned to the carriage. Tang Yao glanced at the Jinsha River, then got on the train. The strange beast took off and pulled the purple-gold carriage towards Bailu Temple.
They noticed the girl in the purple dress had left.
The golden dragon surfaced and muttered, "Damn it, don't run away if you dare."
"Dao Ancestor above, I, the little golden dragon, will follow you from now on. I will definitely do my duty. Please keep me safe!" The golden dragon bowed three times to the sky.
Jinlong looked back at the desolate area under the bridge, where only an old tortoise remained, and his eyes immediately filled with tears. "As expected, true friendship is revealed in times of trouble. Old tortoise, from now on, you'll be eating incense with me."
"Thank you, River God!"
The old tortoise was ashamed.
It's old and can't run anymore.
So they stayed at the bottom of the river to watch the show.
I never imagined that the River God was truly protected by the Taoist Ancestor.
......
Sunset Peak, Dragon and Tiger Temple.
Golden Horn stood outside the door like a sculpture, its eyes fixed on every rustling of grass and the slightest movement around it.
In the backyard of the Taoist temple, Qin Luo was telling stories to his junior sisters and brothers. Zi Yue and Jin Yan listened with great interest, and even the little dumpling was drooling.
"That's all."
Qin Luo only realized it was already night after he finished speaking.
"You should get some rest."
Ziyue winked playfully, "Senior brother, I want to hear you play the bamboo flute. I'll listen to a bit and then go to sleep."
Jin Yan nodded in agreement.
"All right!"
Qin Luo took out a bamboo flute and played it.
The lighthearted flute music echoed through the Dragon Tiger Temple. Zi Yue felt an urge to ride the wind, while Jin Yan felt the primordial power burning within him.
"Chu mi!"
The little dumpling spread its wings, flapped them, and took off into the air, wanting to break through the sky.
Seeing that they were getting more and more excited, Qin Luo put away his bamboo flute. "It's getting late, everyone should get some rest!"
"Uh-huh."
Zi Yue prepared to wash up. She took out the black stone and said, "Senior brother, this was given to me by Master."
Qin Luo took the black stone.
Ziyue ran to the water vat to wash up.
Qin Luo picked up the black stone to examine it. Under the moonlight, intricate patterns appeared inside the stone.
These patterns were even older and more complex than any runes he had ever seen. Qin Luo shook his head and said softly, "The Great Dao should not be so complicated."
Qin Luo returned the black stone to Zi Yue, saying, "Junior Sister, this was given to you by Master. Please keep it safe."
"Senior brother, Master said there is the strongest killing formation in here. I don't understand it, but you will definitely be able to learn it."
Zi Yue wanted to give the opportunity to her senior brother.
Qin Luo rubbed her head and said, "If you don't understand, read more. This is your opportunity, so you should seize it."
"Uh-huh!"
Ziyue took the black stone back to her room.
Jin Yan found Qin Luo and humbly asked, "Senior brother, what should I do if I don't have the Dao in my heart?"
