Chapter 7 Land God

"Is that monster powerful?"

"She's more powerful than me. I've been in Mirror Lake for many years and have never seen her harm anyone. Please, Great Immortal, show mercy."

"Grandma?"

"I was forced to shout it."

The Earth God of Mirror Lake lowered his head in shame.

Zi Yue and Chen Qingyu watched Qin Luo talking to himself, but they didn't dare to disturb him and could only watch quietly.

Qin Luo continued, "Senior, I've heard that the monsters in Mirror Lake often frighten the children in the village."

The local deity quickly explained, "Great Immortal, you may not know this, but in the past, the children in the village liked to play in Mirror Lake, and many children drowned. My great-aunt didn't want anything to happen to the children, so she disguised herself as a fierce monster to scare the children who went into the water."

"So it seems she was misunderstood."

Qin Luo believes that there are kind and righteous monsters in the world, but whether they are real or not, he will only know after seeing them.

"Let's go."

"Let's go take a look at Mirror Lake."

Qin Luo and Zi Yue arrived at the lakeside, with Chen Qingyu and the Earth God of Mirror Lake following beside them.

Lakeside.

There are stones of various colors.

Ziyue bent down to pick up the pretty stones.

Qin Luo's eyes gleamed with golden light, and the entire Mirror Lake became transparent. He discovered that a massive palace was hidden at the bottom of the lake, and powerful energy fluctuations emanated from within the palace.

"The Temple of the Water God?"

Qin Luo muttered softly.

He could see the palace plaques clearly.

Upon hearing this, the Earth God of Mirror Lake was greatly alarmed and hurriedly pleaded, "Great Immortal, although my grandmother is a descendant of the Water God, she has never harmed the people nearby. Please, Great Immortal, show mercy and let her go."

Qin Luo stared at the Earth God of Mirror Lake, sensing something was off. "Senior, that monster's identity seems very sensitive? I see you really want to protect her, why?"

The Earth God of Mirror Lake no longer concealed anything, saying, "All the cultivation forces within the Great Xia territory are targeting the God Race. Only an insignificant little god like me can avoid attracting the attention of cultivators."

“When the gods were powerful, the water god was kind to me, and my great-aunt is a descendant of the water god.”

Why are they targeting the Protoss?

"I don't know."

"The great immortal didn't know about these things?"

The Earth God of Mirror Lake looked surprised. He had thought Qin Luo was a cultivator from the Hunting God Clan, so he was very afraid of him.

Qin Luo was genuinely unaware of this, as his master had never mentioned such things. "The purpose of our Dragon Tiger Temple is to uphold justice on behalf of Heaven, punish evil and promote good, and we will not engage in meaningless killing."

The Earth God of Mirror Lake looked on with awe.

Did Montenegro have mountain gods in the past?

"Yes, that was my old friend. He was killed by cultivators from the Imperial Observatory many years ago, and I was powerless to help him."

The Imperial Observatory was a cultivation force established by the Great Xia Dynasty. Qin Luo had heard of it. Making Chen Chang'an a mountain god was a blessing or a curse for him.

"Junior sister, wait for me here and don't wander off. I'm going to check the lake," Qin Luo instructed.

He wanted to see the monster at the bottom of the lake.

"Okay, senior brother."

Ziyue nodded obediently.

She continued picking up stones by the lake.

Qin Luo walked towards Mirror Lake, his body submerged in the water. He remained dry in the water and did not drown in the abyss, and soon disappeared.

Chen Qingyu stared in disbelief, while Ziyue, already used to it, wasn't surprised.

Lake bottom.

Temple of the Water God.

There are glowing crystals around it.

As Qin Luo approached, a dragon's roar echoed from the depths of the palace, and a silver light pierced the air, causing ripples on the lake's surface.

A silver dragon, several meters long, swam out of the palace. Its body was covered with silver scales, its horns were small, its eyes were large, and it bared its teeth, constantly emitting low dragon roars, warning Qin Luo to leave its territory.
