Chapter 86 The Creation of the Water God

The sunrise over the river paints the flowers red as fire.

Qin Luo stood at the bow of the boat, admiring the scenery. The river surface shimmered with golden light, a gentle breeze caressed his face, and the banks were lush and verdant.

Faced with such a beautiful view, the little dumpling couldn't help but want to sing a song, "Chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp..."

The noisy shouts made Yao Qingshan open his eyes. He rubbed his eyes and then saw Qin Luo standing at the bow of the boat, with long flowing hair, looking otherworldly and like a celestial being.

"I'm alive?!"

Yao Qingshan pinched his thigh.

He guessed that the young Taoist priest had driven away the demon.

Looking at the pristine white Taoist robe he was wearing, Yao Qingshan was flattered and quickly took it off and handed it to Qin Luo, saying, "Master Dao, I smell terrible, I'm so sorry."

"fine."

Qin Luo returned the smile.

"Little dumpling, you don't sing well."

The little dumpling tilted its head and stopped making a sound.

Wu Shashen woke up from his dream, wiping away his tears. After wandering outside for so many years, this was the first time he had slept so peacefully. He had been breathing smoothly last night. He recalled his childhood memories, the last time his grandfather used the Wu family spear technique before he passed away, the last shot of farewell!

The childhood scenes were so real, as if they had happened just yesterday. Wu Shashen composed himself, went to the bow of the boat, and laughed, "Boatman, it's a pity you didn't see me kill the snake demon. I slashed the snake demon so badly that it was unrecognizable and fled in panic."

"So it was the snake demon that the hero chased away!"

Yao Qingshan cupped his hands in a respectful gesture and said, "Please accept my bow!"

"I dare not accept such praise!"

Wu Shashen reached out and helped him up.

Qin Luo pointed to the ancient city not far away, "Old Yao, what place is this?"

Yao Qingshan snapped out of his daze and looked at the ancient city with an expression of disbelief. "My God, I've floated to Baiwang City in one night. At this speed, I'll be in Huainan City today."

"Your boat is fucking fast!"

Even Wu Shashen found it unbelievable.

Yao Qingshan didn't know what was going on either, and said with a wry smile, "The wind isn't usually this favorable, and we haven't encountered any monsters before. It can only be said that fortune and misfortune are intertwined."

"Too."

"Those who survive a great calamity are sure to have good fortune in the future!"

Wu Shashen didn't think much of it.

Yao Qingshan returned to the stern and looked in the direction, while Wu Shashen practiced his sword-drawing slash repeatedly at the bow.

Qin Luo returned to the boat awning.

He was afraid of interfering with Wu Shashen's sword practice.

When Wu Shashen swung his sword, he found that his movements were much faster than usual. He could feel his breathing was smooth. This feeling was as if he and his sword were one, which was very strange!

Qin Luo sat in the boat awning. With nothing to do, he took out his bamboo flute and played it. The cheerful flute music echoed in the mountains, monkeys on both banks cheered, and the breeze on the river became fierce.

Wu Shashen felt his blood boiling and kept swinging his sword forward, thinking that if he had heard this flute music last night, he would have slashed even a real dragon, let alone the black snake.

The small boat seemed to be flying on the water.

"My goodness!"

Fearing the boat would capsize, Yao Qingshan immediately lowered the sail, and the boat's speed quickly decreased. He shouted, "The wind is too strong, it's not safe to sail, let's rest for a while."

Seeing this, Qin Luo put away his bamboo flute, and soon the mountain breeze returned to normal.

"Master Dao, why did you stop bragging?"

I'm tired.

"You'll definitely make money if you go out and perform."

"Maybe."

Qin Luo didn't say he wasn't interested in money, because both Wu Shashen and Yao Qingshan needed money to live.

"May the wind god protect you!"

Seeing that the breeze on the river had returned to normal, Yao Qingshan raised the sail, and the small boat continued its journey.

Half an hour later, Wu Shashen pointed to the distance and asked, "Boatman, what's that?"

Yao Qingshan bowed deeply to the enormous stone statue on the mountain, which was nearly a hundred feet tall, saying, "That is the water god of the Luo River."

Upon hearing this, Qin Luo went outside. He looked at the ancient stone statue, tall and imposing, its eyes overlooking the Luo River. "Elder Yao, what is your opinion of this water god?"

Yao Qingshan said respectfully, "My grandfather said that the Water God is very good. When the Water God was around, there were no monsters in the Luo River. Now, monsters often cause trouble in the Luo River."

The Water God's achievements are undeniable. Qin Luo asked, "Elder Yao, where is the Water God Temple located?"

Yao Qingshan pointed and said, "The earliest water god temple was in the middle of the river near Huainan City. Later, the water god temple was moved to the village in front of us."

"Old Yao, I'd like to visit the nearest Water God Temple. Would it be convenient for you?"

"That's convenient, I just needed to use the restroom."

Yao Qingshan nodded repeatedly.

Wu Shashen looked at Qin Luo with a puzzled expression, "Daoist Master, do you also pray to gods and Buddhas?"

"I want to go and see."

Qin Luo answered with a smile.

The small boat was moored near Shilan Village.

After disembarking, Yao Qingshan pointed into the mountains and said, "Master Dao, the Water God Temple is at the foot of that mountain."

"Thank you so much, Mr. Yao!"

Qin Luo walked towards the mountains.

Wu Shashen followed, carrying his sword and saber, his face serious. "Master Dao, it's dangerous in the mountains. I'll accompany you."

"Thank you very much, Brother Wu!"

Qin Luo nodded with a smile.

You always encounter kind-hearted people on the road.

The little bundle on his shoulder was laughing heartily.

Qin Luo glanced at it.

The little dumpling wisely shut its mouth.

Wu Shashen plucked a blade of grass and put it in his mouth.

Qin Luo looked at the dashing Wu Shashen and asked, "Brother Wu, do you believe in human will conquering nature, or nature conquering human will?"

"Of course, human determination can conquer nature!"

Without even thinking, Wu Shashen blurted it out.

Qin Luo could guess his answer, and continued to ask, "Why do you believe that human will can overcome nature?"

Wu Shashen laughed loudly, his eyes burning with fervor, and said, "Give me enough time, and I will definitely be able to defeat Him. If He wants to take me in, it's because He's afraid of me!"

"That makes sense."
