Chapter 96 Three's Company

Qin Luo was mentally exhausted. He felt his consciousness sinking, and everything before his eyes was a blur, devoid of sound, color, and perception.

The chaos before him made him very uncomfortable.

Qin Luo's consciousness wanted to leave this place, and a glimmer of light appeared in the abyss, a wisp of pure air.

The pure white aura continued to rise, and Qin Luo's consciousness grasped it. He followed the aura away from the chaotic abyss, where there were blue skies, white clouds, and bright sunshine. His originally tired consciousness was able to relax.

Qin Luo's consciousness lay on the grass, the world before him like a still painting. He had returned from the abyss of chaos, feeling as if he had been reborn. "Is this a dream?"

The dream before him was even more real than the interior scene. Qin Luo's consciousness sat up. He looked at the pure energy beside him. Fortunately, it was this pure energy that allowed him to leave the Chaos Abyss.

He felt a sense of familiarity with this refreshing aura.

Qin Luo watched as the wisp of pure energy transformed into two wisps, then into three, and finally into countless wisps of pure energy. The green grass swayed like waves, a gentle breeze caressed his face, and clouds drifted across the sky.

"This is One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones, it must have been left in my body by my master!" Qin Luo suddenly realized. He sat cross-legged on the grass and began to cultivate One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones.

early morning.

The mountains are shrouded in mist.

Qin Luo opened his eyes, which were like clear lake water. After a night's rest, he had recovered his energy and was now refreshed, feeling like he had inexhaustible strength.

Last night, his consciousness plunged into a chaotic abyss, a feeling that made Qin Luo very uncomfortable, as if he had lost himself.

There was the sound of reading outside the dilapidated temple. Chu Peiran was afraid of disturbing Qin Luo's rest, so he read in the mountains and forests.

Qin Luo got up and straightened his Taoist robe. He put the little dumpling's ahoge (cowlick) into his pocket, but as soon as he moved his hand away, the little red hair popped out again. "I wonder how much longer it will sleep."

The little dumpling is quite noisy when it's awake, and I miss it a bit after not hearing its chirping for a while.

Qin Luo arrived outside the dilapidated temple.

He took out the golden gourd and drank the dew.

Gui Chen practiced his boxing in the open space outside the temple. He was completely relaxed, and his punches were slow and light.

Qin Luo knew he was no ordinary person.

Gui Chen felt a terrifying power last night. He wanted to overcome his fear, so he put his hands together, bowed, and asked, "Brother Dao, may I spar with you for a bit?"

"OK."

Qin Luo put away the golden gourd.

"please!"

Qin Luo gestured with his hand.

The moment Gui Chen clenched his fist, his figure vanished from the spot. Qin Luo didn't even blink before Gui Chen appeared before him, and what came towards him was a fist the size of a sandbag.

Qin Luo threw a punch to meet the attack.

Boom!

Dust has fallen from the beams of the dilapidated temple.

The trees in the mountains and forests all swayed.

Hearing the commotion, Chu Peiran took his books and returned to the outside of the dilapidated temple. "It's quite lively!"

Gui Chen and Qin Luo kept throwing punches, their blows evenly matched. Chu Peiran knew they weren't using their full strength. "You're both cultivators, show us what you've got."

Qin Luo and Gui Chen parted ways.

Gui Chen formed a mudra with his hands, and a soft Buddhist light rose from his body, within which appeared a wrathful Vajra with three heads and six arms.

"sharp!"

"They can actually summon the Dharma Image!"

Chu Peiran's eyes were filled with admiration.

Qin Luo smiled slightly, formed a hand seal, and a dazzling golden light rose from his body, followed by the appearance of a tall goddess with four heads and six arms, whose golden form seemed to fill the entire world.

Chu Peiran's eyes widened, and he couldn't help but exclaim, "He can even borrow magic! What amazing Taoist magic!"

Gui Chen consciously lowered his hands, not wanting to test Qin Luo's Dharma form. Qin Luo then lowered his hands as well.

The two methods disappear when they are identical.

"They're all experts!"

Chu Peiran clapped and cheered.

Gui Chen bowed respectfully to Qin Luo, saying, "Brother Daoist's Daoist arts are profound; this humble monk has learned a great deal."

Qin Luo thought of Song Xiao and returned the greeting with a cupped hand, "We're all friends, no need to be so polite."

Chu Peiran chuckled and joked, "Among three people walking together, there must be one who can teach me. I'll trouble you, Master and fellow Daoist, to enlighten me in the future."

Qin Luo chuckled and said, "Let's learn from each other."

Gui Chen nodded in agreement.

Chu Peiran returned to the dilapidated temple to pack his things. He carried his book box on his back, with a long sword lying across it. Gui Chen picked up his monk's staff and golden bowl, while Qin Luo carried nothing but the breeze in his sleeves.

The sun rises.

They left the dilapidated temple.

A young Taoist priest, a tall Buddhist monk, and a refined scholar walked and talked.

Qin Luo asked with a smile, "Brother Chu, what are your thoughts on the conflict between Heaven and Man?"

Chu Peiran was radiant and laughed heartily. “There are eight characters engraved on the wall of our Great Xia Academy: ‘Educate all living beings, educate heaven and earth.’ We believe that man can conquer nature.”

What are Master Guichen's thoughts?

"This humble monk has no opinion."

Gui Chen smiled and explained, "A high monk once told me that true wisdom lies in not listening, not asking, not arguing, and not speaking. Therefore, I do not participate in the conflict between heaven and man."

Chu Peiran asked, puzzled, "Then why are you blindfolded?"

Gui Chen did not hide anything, "This humble monk is cultivating his mind. When his heart is filled with light, this humble monk can open his eyes."

Chu Peiran nodded and said softly, "I am cultivating myself. What are you cultivating, fellow Daoist?"

"Cultivating the Tao".

Qin Luo smiled slightly.

"Brother Dao, do you know about the Supreme Temple?"

"Know."

Chu Peiran smiled and reminded him, "Wushang Temple has the legacy left by the Dao Ancestor. Daoists all over the world can go and try their luck. You might just get a great fortune."

"I'll go and see it when I have the chance."

Qin Luo had originally planned to go see the Imperial Advisor.

"If you want to ask questions, you can find the dean of our academy. He is a learned man, and even the Emperor is his student, so he is revered as the Imperial Tutor." Chu Peiran's face was full of pride.
