Chapter 147 Premature Birth

Shen Banxia went into premature labor.

On the way, she felt unwell, and the script on the screen showed the exchange option: "One hundred merit points can be exchanged for the baby's safety."

"Exchange," Shen Banxia said without hesitation.

Fortunately, Shen Banxia's maternal grandfather came in a Jeep; otherwise, things would have been really chaotic.

When Shen Banxia regained consciousness, she looked at the little cub next to her, all wrinkled.

Because it was a difficult cesarean section, the surgery was performed by Dr. Li, and the anesthesia has not yet worn off, so Shen Banxia has not felt any pain yet.

At the Zhou family's house, Li Erya nervously grabbed Zhao Di, "What should we do? Will your aunt have a premature birth? I didn't mean to, I really didn't do anything."

Zhou Zhaodi's heart skipped a beat. Before she could speak, her mother rushed over like a gust of wind. "What did you say? You actually angered your eldest daughter-in-law to the point of premature labor? Are you trying to kill yourself?" she said, hitting her with her hand as she spoke.

"Mother, I... I didn't do anything," Li Erya said, looking at Zhou's mother with pleading eyes, not knowing what to do.

“Tell me in detail what you said in the past!” Zhou’s mother couldn’t stand her stupidity.

“I didn’t say anything. I just begged my sister-in-law to help me. I wanted to have a son for my second brother, but she said she couldn’t help me. I couldn’t think straight for a moment, so I went to the wrong place. My sister-in-law used force to stop me, and then her stomach hurt. My brother carried her away in a car.” This is what she saw after she woke up.

"You, you idiot! Are you just going to stand by and watch? Don't you know how to go and help?" Zhou's mother was almost driven mad with anger.

As for what he said about wanting to go left, he never really thought about it. In Zhou's mother's eyes, wasn't he perfectly fine?

As for Zhou Zhaodi, her heart tightened. She was worried about her mother and her aunt, and she didn't know how things were going.

"I... I fainted at the time. By the time I came to my senses, they were already gone," Li Erya said, realizing she had caused trouble. Although she was jealous of her sister-in-law, she really didn't want anything to happen to her, especially since her neck was still sore.

"You, you keep a close eye on them and lend a hand whenever they come back," Zhou's mother still wanted to mend the relationship between the two sides.

She's not young anymore, and if she gets sick or has other health problems, having her eldest daughter-in-law around will give her peace of mind.

"I understand, Mother," Li Erya said, no longer daring to cause trouble.

Suddenly, Zhou Mingjiao appeared, her tone laced with undisguised schadenfreude, "Mom, why are you worrying so much? They won't care about you anyway. Besides, I don't think Second Sister-in-law did anything wrong. It was her own fault for not handling it properly. Isn't she a doctor? If she's really that good, would she have had a premature birth?"

Zhou's mother frowned. "Jiaojiao, you can't say that. Even a doctor wouldn't deliver their own baby. Also, don't argue with your sister-in-law. I can see that she's capable. She might be able to help you out in the future. You know she always listens to her daughter-in-law." Her words were full of good intentions.

But Zhou Mingjiao wouldn't listen to reason. She always felt that if it weren't for her sister-in-law and the child in her belly, she would have been living the life she wanted long ago. Instead, she was in this situation, with nothing, and even her mother, who loved her the most, had changed.

If it were in the past, how could I have said that about myself?

"Fine, whatever you want, you won't listen to me no matter what I say now."

"Jiaojiao, how could you think like that?" Zhou's mother felt both distressed and helpless. Because of the debt, the family's food was not only poor, but even Zhou Mingjiao, who used to have an egg every day, had not been able to eat one.

That's why I'm unhappy every day at home.

But she didn't consider that because of her, so much money was owed. If they continued to treat her the same way as before, this family, just as the old man said, would be beyond saving no matter how hard the two of them, as elders, tried to control it.

Another point is that Zhou's mother doesn't want to end up without her son to support her in her old age. Wouldn't she become a laughing stock in the eyes of outsiders then?

Thinking of this, I think this is a good opportunity. When your sister-in-law and the others come back, you can go over and help them out. That way, if you need any help from her, you'll have something to say.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Mingjiao immediately bristled, "Mom, what are you thinking! I'm not going."

Zhou's mother had a headache. "Alright, alright, if you don't want to go, then don't go." She then looked at Li Erya and said, "What are you still standing here for? All you do all day is slack off and be lazy." She couldn't stand her second son's wife the most; she had no skills whatsoever.

Shen Banxia was unaware of the lawsuit involving the Zhou family. Looking at the baby, a series of thoughts flashed through her mind: "Is this my child? Am I that amazing? I actually gave birth to a person?"

As for other aspects of life continuation, sorry, I haven't thought of that yet.

Zhou Mingqian, on the other hand, was all smiles; this was the fruit of his and his wife's love.

The "crystallized" baby himself: Waaaaaah.

The baby has very strong lungs and doesn't look premature at all; it weighed six pounds at birth.

In this day and age, a premature baby weighing this much is considered well-cared for by doctors and nurses.

Shen Banxia felt a little guilty for once. Ever since her grandmother took care of her, she had really been controlling her diet, but as for how much she had controlled it, well, that was hard to say.

After the anesthesia wore off, Shen Banxia felt as if she had died and come back to life.

Sure enough, even though I escaped the pain of vaginal delivery and cervical dilation, I couldn't avoid this one.

After five days in the hospital, they finally went home.

Zhou Mingqian wanted his wife to stay a couple more days, but Shen Banxia really couldn't stand it anymore.

After returning home, Shen Banxia looked at Li Erya who had come looking for her.

Her eyes reddened, and Shen Banxia spoke directly, "I'm in postpartum confinement and need some peace and quiet. Zhou Mingqian, see the guest out."

Li Erya hesitated for a long time before finally saying only, "I'm sorry."

Does Shen Banxia blame her?

Of course, if she hadn't acted like a madwoman, why would a pregnant woman need to pull someone so forcefully?

She had no intention of continuing to associate with people like Li Erya.

After Li Erya left, Zhou Zhaodi came again.

"Aunt, I'm sorry, I'm afraid I won't be able to come over anymore."

"Hmm," Shen Banxia said, adding that she wouldn't force anyone to make their own choice.

A hint of sadness flashed in Zhao Di's eyes. Sometimes she really felt powerless. What would be the point of starting over?

She can't make decisions for her parents.

After returning home, she found her father, and no one knows what she said, but Zhou Lao Er went to talk to his father about dividing the family property.

Shen Banxia only found out about the Zhou family's division of property after she had finished her postpartum confinement.

Although I was curious, I didn't intend to inquire, but things just happened to come to me on their own.

This story begins at the county hospital, where Dr. Li told them a secret.
