Chapter 24 Natural Disaster

"Little field mouse, is this really your friend?" A herd of camels galloped through Shen Banxia's mind.

"Yes, this is my friend! Don't just stand there! Her baby is dying, help her give birth!" The arrogant rat's voice choked with emotion.

Heaven knows where a little field mouse got such abundant emotions.

That's a white wolf! Its belly is stained red with blood.

If it weren't for the fact that the white wolf was on its last legs and couldn't even get up, she would have already pulled Zhou Mingqian away.

Seeing that the white wolf was about to die, and thinking of the merit points, Shen Banxia mustered up her courage and approached.

The white wolf opened its eyes with a "whoosh," the cold light within them still piercing.

The arrogant rat jumped around, "Big White, this is the Banxia I found to save you. Stop struggling, you're bleeding again."

Perhaps the appeasement from the arrogant rat had an effect.

Shen Banxia stopped dawdling and took out a scalpel from her cloth bag.

After locating the fetus, the abdomen is opened to remove it.

Zhou Mingqian watched closely. At this moment, Shen Banxia was focused. With a swift movement, she took out the little wolf, which was also white.

She turned and handed it to Zhou Mingqian, who began stitching, but ultimately it was too late.

Struggling to open her eyes, she glanced reluctantly at Zhou Mingqian's embrace, then looked pleadingly at Shen Banxia.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure it grows up healthy."

Humans are not plants or trees; how can they be without feelings?

Perhaps it was Shen Banxia's promise that put her at ease, or perhaps she was simply exhausted, but she eventually closed her eyes peacefully.

"Waaaaah, Big White~", came the squeaking sound of a ghost.

"Don't cry, its babies still need your care."

Shen Banxia was also feeling down, and subconsciously thought of the baby in her belly.

If it weren't for that script with the light screen, would they have been deprived of even the chance to be born?

The original reason for this was simply to create a villain.

After all, there is no hatred without a cause.

But does all this really need to be explained with a human life? Is this truly a world of scripts?

Will everything eventually be adjusted and fixed?

Feeling the breeze, looking at Zhou Mingqian, and feeling her own heart still pounding, she realized that everything was not the fictional character described in the script.

She is flesh and blood, and has emotions.

The script suggests that a natural disaster will occur this year, resulting in the freezing deaths of many people and livestock.

The script did not describe the specific numbers, but Zhou Mingjiao once said, "It's a good thing we have Su Yu. If it weren't for him, the entire Zhou family probably wouldn't be here."

Sometimes, Shen Banxia felt that the person who wrote the script must be an idiot, as the writing focused entirely on love and romance: you love me, I love him, he loves her, it was all a tangled mess of love stories.

As for the truly major events that happened, they were all just casual remarks, it's ridiculous.

As it is, Shen Banxia only knows that people will freeze to death this winter. As for why Su Yu got involved, or what happened to the Zhou family that almost wiped them out, she knows nothing.

"But I'm about to leave, what will I do if I can't take it with me?" the arrogant rat said sadly.

"Why?".

"It's going to get really, really cold here. Even with my fur, it won't be enough. I need to find a warmer place to spend the winter."

Shen Banxia knew that animals were more perceptive than humans, and an idea instantly came to her mind.

"You can come with me from now on. I can take care of you, and I'll also help you raise your friend's child."

The arrogant rat looked at Shen Banxia warily, "You, what do you want to do?"

Shen Banxia said irritably, "What can I do? With your measly little flesh, you're not even enough to fill a tooth gap. I'm just trying to be kind, but I'm not doing this for a reason."

"Impossible. My senior once told me that humans are very cunning. If I hadn't been desperate this time, I wouldn't have come to you for help. But Big White is still gone." The arrogant rat couldn't be arrogant anymore. His voice was filled with sadness. Clearly, he still couldn't accept the departure of his friend.

"Okay, even if you don't believe me, if you go to a warm place to spend the winter, can you take all the things you've stored with you? Won't other animals bully you in an unfamiliar place? And aren't you afraid I'll abandon the wolf cubs?"

The arrogant rat forgot all about being sad and said, "I knew humans were cunning and didn't keep their word. You just promised Big White."

"Doesn't this require your supervision?"

"Hmph, then I'll keep a close eye on you," the arrogant rat said, no longer mentioning leaving.

It can't allow its friend's offspring to be abused.

Kui Chen Banxia had no idea what the little field mouse was thinking; otherwise, she would have definitely grabbed it and given it a good beating.

"What are you going to do with this big white thing?" Shen Banxia asked.

The arrogant rat immediately scurried to the white wolf's side, saying, "You're not allowed to lay a finger on Big White, you can't eat it."

Shen Banxia twitched her lips. She craved meat, but she couldn't bring herself to eat a sentient animal; it always felt like she was eating one of her own kind.

Thinking about this made Shen Banxia feel terrible.

"Little field mouse, how many times have you encountered situations like yours?"

"I don't know. I just met my senior a long time ago, and afterwards, Da Bai was able to understand what I meant in a simple way."

Shen Banxia breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness, otherwise she would have ended up eating vegetarian food.

Life would be utterly devoid of joy.

Food and love are both things that should not be taken for granted.

The arrogant rat was still rambling on, "The senior disappeared without a trace. Later I heard someone say, 'You can't become a spirit after the founding of the People's Republic of China.'"

Shen Banxia knew, of course, that it was that great leader.
