Chapter 21 Sister, Give Me a Chance to Get Out of Being Single

Of course, the two of them would not agree.

What's so good about it?

Instead of sending her to act, it would be better to invest in making her a boss.

Setting up a new company is too troublesome. You have to register, recruit, and buy equipment. It's better to just acquire a small company.

Qin's father handed the matter over to his subordinates and told Qin Yue to wait for news.

Upon learning that Qin Yue's parents had agreed, Zhou Jiahe felt like she was soaking in a vat of vinegar; you could almost smell the sourness through the phone.

"I once told my parents that I wanted to start an entertainment company and make a lot of money because of my favorite celebrities. Guess what my parents said?"

"Huh? You disagree?"

“It’s more than just disagreement.” Zhou Jiahe lazily nestled on the sofa, took a bite of an apple, and crunched it down. “She also recounted all my investment failures over the years and concluded that I’m only suited to stay at home and be a lazy bum.”

Qin Yue was not very familiar with her remarkable achievements over the years.

Finally, Zhou Jiahe asked her, "Once your company is up and running, you probably won't have time to relax. Fu Tingshen is having dinner with some of his friends tonight, would you like to come out for a drink together?"

Just as Qin Yue was about to refuse, a name suddenly flashed into her mind after she mentioned the name of the bar.

At 7:55 p.m., Qin Yue arrived outside the bar.

Zhou Jiahe and Fu Tingshen were already waiting at the door.

Fu Tingshen, dressed in a very trendy style, put his arm around Zhou Jiahe's shoulder, leaned close to her and said something, which earned him a reproachful look from Zhou Jiahe.

He put his arm around Zhou Jiahe's shoulder and laughed, looking completely shameless.

Seeing Qin Yue get out of the car, Zhou Jiahe removed her hand from her shoulder and walked over to Qin Yue in a few quick steps.

She linked arms with Qin Yue, humming a little tune, and ignored Fu Tingshen.

Fu Tingshen followed behind the two, shaking his head and chuckling.

This bar was opened by Fu Tingshen and his friends, and business is doing fairly well.

Instead of going to a private room, the group of six—three men and three women—sat down in a dimly lit booth.

Like Qin Xu's friends, she addressed him as "Sister Yue" after taking her seat.

Everyone calls her Sister Yue, not just because of her age, but mainly because of an incident that happened in high school.

Zhou Jiahe was in her second year of middle school at that time and had formed her own little group at school.

Enjoying the thrill of being the boss.

There are quite a few students in school who form small groups like Zhou Jiahe.

Sometimes, for some inexplicable reason, they would arrange to "duel" in the school's grove.

Even worse, they would arrange to fight with people from other schools in alleyways.

Although Qin Yue and Zhou Jiahe grew up practically inseparable, as a model student in the eyes of her teachers and with her family's driver picking her up and dropping her off every day, she never got involved in these disputes.

But she couldn't resist some people causing her trouble.

It happened to be Zhou Jiahe's birthday, and a few close friends suggested getting together outside the school.

The restaurant she had booked was only two blocks from the school, so Qin Yue told the driver to go back first, thinking she would pick up the cake herself and then go over.

As a result, she was ambushed when she was alone.

A girl from another school pointed at her and said that she was Zhou Jiahe's best friend.

Then four girls surrounded her, grabbed her backpack, and dragged her into the alley, saying they were going to teach her a lesson.

Perhaps because the four girls were blocking her way, she felt she had no chance to fight back. Just as one of the girls was about to slap her, she slapped the girl back and then pulled out a pen from the side of her bag, stabbing it hard into the back of her hand.

By the time Zhou Jiahe arrived with her people, the farce was basically over.

Several bloody scratches were left on her neck.

The four girls were in even worse shape; some were curled up on the ground clutching their stomachs and unable to get up, while others had faces so swollen that they were unrecognizable.

From then on, her image as a well-behaved, soft-spoken girl changed in the eyes of Zhou Jiahe and others.

One person jokingly called her Sister Yue, and the name spread from one to ten, gradually becoming known among those who knew her.

Under the colorful lights, Fu Tingshen, carrying a bottle of carbonated beverage, walked over and sat down next to Zhou Jiahe.

He peeked out, grinning at Qin Yue with a set of big white teeth, and said, "I was wrong to not be able to welcome you back the day you came back. I'll punish myself with three cups of wine as an apology."

He then gulped down half of a bottle of beverage.

Zhou Jiahe rolled her eyes at her unreliable fiancé, nudged him in the stomach with her elbow, and turned to Qin Yue, saying, "Yueyue, he must have gotten his brain caught in a door when he went out. Just ignore him."

Fu Tingshen let out an exaggerated cry of pain, clutching his stomach and shouting, "Lotus, are you trying to murder your husband?"

"Ha—" Zhou Jiahe gritted her teeth and stomped down on his instep with her sharp heel.

He deftly stepped aside, casually ruffling her head as he did so: "Hey, you can't step on me."

"Idiot." Zhou Jiahe angrily pushed his hand away. What sins did she commit in her past life to have such a terrible marriage partner in this life?

Ignoring him, Zhou Jiahe pulled Qin Yue's arm and stood up, sitting at the furthest distance from Fu Tingshen.

While complaining about Fu Tingshen's unreliability, she immediately flew into a rage when she saw a beautiful, alluring woman holding a wine glass and trying to chat him up.

Her round eyes were fixed on Fu Tingshen.

If he dares to reach out to take it, she'll turn around and chop off his claws.

Fu Tingshen crossed his arms behind his head to indicate his innocence, glanced at the young woman holding the wine, and gestured with his lip towards Zhou Jiahe's direction:

"Hey lady, see that person whose mouth looks like it could hold an oil bottle? That's my fiancée, she's super fierce. If you don't want to get slapped, you'd better get out of here."

The girl was only twenty-one or twenty-two years old, youthful and beautiful, and her face froze for a moment when she heard herself being called "big sister".

Following Fu Tingshen's gaze, they looked over at Qin Yue and the others.

The three girls sitting side by side were all incredibly beautiful, yet none of them gave her a single glance.

The girl's face darkened further, and she left unwillingly.

Fu Tingshen looked at Zhou Jiahe with a plea for praise.

The latter snorted and rolled her eyes at him.

The girl on Zhou Jiahe's other side is Fu Tingshen's cousin.

Fu Yinyin chuckled: "When are you two going to stop being so childish and start looking out for us single people?"

Fu Tingshen's sworn brother, Qi Ye, looked in Qin Yue's direction, his eyes filled with anticipation, and he spoke with feigned shyness:

"Sister Yue, I watched the show you participated in, and I think I meet your criteria for a partner quite well. I wonder if you could give me a chance to find a partner?"
