Chapter 62 Everything is up to you

He withdrew his hand with lightning speed, strode to the front of the car, and stared intently at her with undisguised anticipation in his dark eyes.

Their eyes met in mid-air.

A gentle gaze fell upon him.

“Lu Yanci, I agree with something my cousin said: in a relationship, someone needs to speak up, otherwise it’s hard for the other person to understand what they mean.”

After saying that, she continued, "I'm going in now. Drive carefully. Goodnight."

Fang Yuanyuan ran straight to the terrace and stared intently at the two people outside the door. She watched as they parted ways after exchanging only a few words and couldn't help but roll her eyes.

Why are they so slow and indecisive?

Fang Yuanyuan wished she could fly down, press their heads together, make their mouths touch, and then tightly wrap them with tape so they couldn't be separated.

Qin Yue had only taken two steps when the man suddenly came to his senses. His actions were faster than his thoughts. He took long strides and firmly grasped her wrist with his broad, hot hand.

In that brief moment, several figures flashed through his mind: Liu Yu, who blushed at the sight of her; Qi Jingchen, who had spoken provocatively; and Qin Xu, who had been secretly sowing discord...

Perhaps, he really can no longer sit idly by and wait for his death.

Qin Yue stopped in her tracks and turned around with a look of surprise.

Fang Yuanyuan, holding her phone on the terrace, covered her mouth tightly, her eyes brighter than a light bulb.

That's the feeling!

Hurry up, pull your arm back and draw the person into your arms.

Hold her tightly in your arms and whisper in her ear, "I love you," isn't that enough?

Next is... cough cough cough...

Lu Yanci's usually calm and composed face showed a rare hint of unease, but his words were clear and distinct: "Could you wait two more minutes? I have something else I want to tell you."

Qin Yue's gaze fell on her wrist, which was restrained.

He then realized his behavior was inappropriate, quickly let go of her hand, and asked her again, "Could you give me a few minutes?"

Qin Yue was truly exasperated. She was already standing right in front of him; he shouldn't be asking if he could have two minutes, but rather he should get straight to the point.

She nodded slightly.

The men were actually more nervous.

He became visibly uncomfortable.

He cleared his throat and said, "You're right, some things can't be kept to yourself. I know what I'm about to say might be a bit sudden for you, but I still want to take this opportunity to tell you. Of course, you don't need to rush to answer me, and you don't need to feel guilty."

I know I may not meet your requirements for a partner, but I have some redeeming qualities: a harmonious family, a successful career, emotional stability, I don't smoke, I drink occasionally but not excessively, I don't get close to women, and I don't have any bad habits.

I hope that after comparing me to others, you'll think I'm a pretty good person. More importantly, I hope that this "pretty good person" can become someone you can share your joys and sorrows with, and someone who can be there for you in a different capacity when you need me.

Of course, if you feel I'm inappropriate, or if my words have caused you trouble, you can pretend I never said anything, and we can continue to be friends as before.

He spoke rapidly and in a very fast manner.

Qin Yue tried hard to digest his words and find the key points.

Logically, having guessed Lu Yanci's feelings and made some mental preparations, she shouldn't have been nervous even if she was suddenly confessed to. However, seeing his fingers clenched tightly at his sides, his jawline taut, and his burning gaze that dared not meet her eyes, Qin Yue's heart suddenly raced, and her heartstrings tightened involuntarily.

Her heart was in turmoil.

She had always thought Lu Yanci was the right person, which was why she wanted to get to know him. But after getting to know him, she realized that he was an even more charming person.

He gives people a sense of security and can be infinitely tolerant of a person's emotions. She thought that there should be few people who could refuse his favoritism.

A thought flashed through her mind: after all this buildup, even the escape route had been mentioned, how would he react if she flatly refused?

However, no one would like such a joke.

Suppressing her unkind thoughts, she composed herself and pondered how to respond.

Under his tense yet expectant gaze, her red lips parted slightly, and she earnestly responded to his feelings, word by word: "You're a very good person, I..."

You're a very nice person, and my overall impression of you is indeed quite good. Perhaps we can spend some time together and see.

I got friend-zoned.

Lu Yanci's mind went blank for a moment. She was willing to spend more time with him, and he thought that he had at least left her with a pretty good impression.

He tried his best to maintain his composure and not let her see his disheveled state. He interrupted her and said in a seemingly relaxed tone, "I told you, you don't need to rush to reply. You can think about it for one night, or three to five days."

Qin Yue's brow twitched as a flock of crows flew overhead.

Their confession was absolutely awful.

They're not as decisive as an eighteen-year-old.

Her slender fingers hooked onto the man's tie, and before he could react, Qin Yue applied a little force, causing him to lean slightly towards her.

Looking into his eyes, which were churning with turmoil, a hand covered his burning, pounding heart, and a smile played on his lips: "It seems that President Lu is not as nonchalant as he appears."

Fang Yuanyuan screamed and shouted in her heart.

I never expected my cousin, who seems so gentle and aloof, to make such a strong move.

Then she thought again, although her cousin had a gentle face, she wasn't a pushover.

Otherwise, why would Fang Yuanzhou and I have been so afraid of her when we were kids?

Lens.

She pointed her phone camera at the two of them.

Hehehe... If I ever ask my cousin for a favor and she refuses, I'll use this to threaten her.

After Qin Yue finished speaking, she released him, each word exceptionally clear and bright in the quiet night: "Lu Yanci, what I want to say is, you are very good, let's give it a try. Should I wait three to five days to give you an answer?"

Just as he was recovering from the thrill of being so close to her, her words struck him like a thunderbolt, deafening him. His brain, which had been frozen in shock, returned to normal, and he stared intently at her.

Confirming that it wasn't a hallucination or something he'd imagined, he relaxed with relief, and the emotions hidden in his eyes behind his glasses poured out: "I'll be a good boyfriend and won't let you down."

The evening breeze ruffled a wisp of hair on her forehead.

Even gentler than the wind was her voice, sweet as honey, filling the air with a sweet fragrance: "Just follow your heart, there's no need to bind yourself with rules and regulations, and to be particular about everything."
