Chapter 7 Sorry, I'm not good at lying.

The entire journey was eerily quiet.

As she entered the mall elevator, she was lost in her own world when she suddenly heard someone next to her ask, "Are you afraid of me?"

Qin Yue saw Lu Yanci's expressionless face as he spoke through the reflective glass that showed his reflection.

His features were cold and stern, and he was very tall. Especially compared to her, he looked like a small mountain, which was quite intimidating at first glance.

In addition, she had heard some rumors about this CEO Lu, so in her previous life, she might have really been afraid.

Having experienced life and death, I only felt that he was a pitiful person just like myself.

Thinking this, her tone became much lighter: "No, it's just that I'm not used to it."

He gave a soft "hmm" and didn't say anything more.

The gentleman escorted her out of the elevator.

The two of them were indeed wandering around aimlessly.

He always kept a half-step distance behind her, following her at a leisurely pace.

Qin Yue glanced at him several times and noticed that his expression didn't change at all.

It was impossible to tell whether he was happy or unhappy.

Is this the level of competence that those in positions of power can achieve? To remain unmoved by emotions.

He glanced down at his watch: "Would you like to find a place to rest?"

He shouldn't have said anything, because once he did, I really felt my legs were a bit sore.

The two found a coffee shop in the mall and sat down.

He went outside to answer a phone call during that time.

Qin Yue lowered her eyes in thought. What was this all about?

Is this a blind date?

He quickly came in from outside, sat down opposite her, and brought up the phone call he had just received: "It was my mother who called."

"Should we go over there?"

Sensing the urgency in her voice, he unconsciously rubbed his fingers together: "They went to the beauty salon. The auntie said she'd let me take you home later."

Qin Yue: "..."

Would they dare to be any more obvious?

"There's a pretty good restaurant nearby. Let's eat first, and I'll take you home after we finish."

"Oh, no need, I'll just take a taxi. It's very convenient to get a taxi nearby."

He stared at her intently: "Your aunt said I should take you home. If you refuse, it will be difficult for me to explain to her."

"Just say you took me home, and nobody will know."

"Sorry, I'm not good at lying."
