Chapter 159 Watching the Sunrise

It was already midnight, so Jiang Sheng decided not to go back and spent the night in the inner mountains. The iron smelting room was very warm and he fell asleep quickly.

I don't know how long it took before I was shaken awake. I looked up at the person who came and said incoherently, "Master chef, why did you come here without taking a rest?"

The old craftsman pointed at the furnace and said helplessly, "Third Young Master, you should know that there are rules in this ironworks. You must not fall asleep here, otherwise it will be very dangerous."

"Hmm? What danger could there be here?"

"Third Young Master, don't you feel that something is wrong with your body? Do you have any strength? Is your chest stuffy and your head dizzy?"

Jiang Sheng was stunned and suddenly realized something.

The old craftsman reached out and helped the man up, then walked outside. "Third Young Master, the temperature in this ironworks is very high. If you fall asleep, you'll be dehydrated. The ventilation is also poor, and you could easily get poisoned."

"If you get poisoned while sleeping, it's easy to go unnoticed. You might never wake up again. You need to be more careful in the future."

Jiang Sheng's heart trembled, and his confused mind instantly became clear.

He whispered thanks: "Thank you, Master Chef, otherwise I would be in danger."

The old craftsman waved his hand and said softly, "It's okay. It's also my fault that I was too excited last night and didn't explain it clearly to the Third Young Master. But I arrange for someone to check every night."

"If someone falls asleep, they can be woken up in time to avoid any mishaps."

"Let's go, Third Young Master, if you're tired, go to your room and sleep."

Jiang Sheng looked at the dim sky and shook his head: "No, I'm not sleepy anymore. Let's wait until daybreak before going down the mountain. Master Chef, go and rest."

The old craftsman nodded, put his hands behind his back and slowly returned to his room.

Halfway up the mountain, the three of them were climbing towards the top, panting from exhaustion. "Hoo-hoo, how far is it, Miss? Xiaomei can't... hold on any longer."

Jiang Wanwan took a deep breath and looked at the two maids with some annoyance. "Oh, you guys are so annoying! I told you to exercise more every day, but you just keep slacking off."

"Now you know you don't have the energy to climb the mountain, right? Just hold on a little longer. Once we reach the top, we can sit down and watch the sunrise and have something to eat."

"But, Miss, we really can't climb anymore."

Xiaomei and Xiaoyun held onto the tree trunk, breathing heavily, sweat dripping from their foreheads.

Seeing this, Jiang Wanwan said helplessly, "Alright then. You guys sit here and rest for a while. I'll climb to the top of the mountain to watch the sunrise. You can just follow me up later."

"Yes, thank you very much, Miss."

"Change your words, why can't you remember calling me young master?"

Watching the two maids sit down to rest, Jiang Wanwan raised her head and saw that the sky was beginning to brighten. If she didn't climb up, she would miss the sunrise.

After giving a few instructions, he quickened his pace up the mountain.

The closer they got to the top of the mountain, the hotter it felt. Jiang Wanwan looked around in confusion, but couldn't see anything wrong. She trotted to the top of the mountain and sat on a rock at the edge of the cliff.

Holding my face with my hands and looking towards the horizon, a hint of orange slowly emerged and expanded little by little, so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes off it.

Jiang Sheng couldn't sleep so he went out for a walk. He unknowingly came to the edge of a cliff and was about to watch the sunrise. He was startled to see a white figure sitting on a rock from a distance.

Human or ghost?

As he got closer, he accidentally stepped on a branch, which made a crisp sound of breaking.

Jiang Wanwan's heart raced when she heard the noise. She stood up and looked around warily, "Who, who's there?"

When Jiang Sheng heard the voice, he knew it was a person.

He stopped and said softly, "I'm sorry to bother you. I bought this mountain, and I came up to watch the sunrise. If it bothers you, I can go somewhere else."

Upon hearing that the mountain was bought by someone else, Jiang Wanwan felt a little embarrassed and whispered, "Um, I, I didn't know it was owned by someone. I just wanted to come up and watch the sunrise."

"If you don't mind, you can come over and watch the sunrise with me. Now is a good time."

Jiang Sheng responded, walked over and found a stone farther away to sit down. The two of them kept a distance between them, each watching the sunrise in silence.

Jiang Wanwan looked at his hazy profile, blinked, then looked away to concentrate on watching the sunrise. Neither of them disturbed the other and watched the sunrise quietly.

The sun had completely risen when the two maids finally reached the mountain. They saw their young lady and were about to shout.

He caught a glimpse of a man's figure from the corner of his eye, and his eyes widened instantly.

They looked at each other with shock in their eyes. It's over. The young lady went up the mountain to watch the sunrise. Could it be that she was going to meet her lover? This... When did they meet? Why didn't we know about it?

The two maids quickly shut up and walked towards their mistress. Standing beside her, they whispered, "Young Master, now that we've watched the sunrise, we can go down the mountain."

Jiang Wanwan rolled her eyes at them and said unhappily.

"Hurry me up! You guys only know how to rush me! I finally got out of town to watch the sunrise, can't you just let me take a breath?"

Xiaomei and Xiaoyun were about to cry. It wasn't that they didn't give the young lady time to breathe, but there were men here. If everyone knew that she was having a secret meeting with a man, her reputation would be ruined.

Jiang Sheng stood up and three pairs of eyes looked at him at once.

He raised his head and looked over and asked softly, "What's wrong?"

Jiang Wanwan waved her hand politely, "It's nothing. I just wanted to ask you, sir, if there's anything fun to do on the mountain. Can I take a stroll around here?"

"I can give you silver, just name your price."

"...No need for silver. I can take you to pick wild fruits. There are many wild fruits on this mountain. Please follow me down here."

Jiang Sheng led his men away from the iron smelting site in the inner mountains and headed towards another hill. He walked for a long time before stopping and pointing at something crawling on the mountain wall.

"Those are wild grapes. If you want to eat them, I can pick them for you."

Jiang Wanwan felt a little embarrassed when she heard this. She had secretly gone to the mountain that someone else had bought to watch the sunrise, and even asked them to pick fruits for them to eat. This was a bit too shameless.

She was too embarrassed to do that, so she quickly waved her hands and said, "No, no need, I can pick it myself."

Jiang Sheng nodded, walked to the side, broke off some vines, and began to weave a small basket with his fingers flying. He would also pick some wild grapes and bring them down the mountain later. Well, he could also bring berries down the mountain to eat.

While I was busy, a scream was heard behind me.

I subconsciously stood up and looked over, and saw the three figures fleeing and hiding under the tree, looking at the wild grapes in horror.

"Hmm? What's wrong?"

Jiang Wanwan was nearly crying with fear. She pointed at the wild grapevines and trembled, "Yes, there are really big bugs. They're green and plump, so scary."

Jiang Sheng: "...Oh, that bug, it usually likes to grow on grape vines, I'll go down and pick some when I have time."
