Chapter Sixty-One: Not Completely Incurable

The old lady suddenly remembered something: although the doctors that Madam Liu had found to treat Qian Youxue were all from prominent families, none of them had ever invited a doctor from the Hua family.

Seeing Hua Duanli now reminded her of something important. She waved her hand, dismissing Yunhe, before smiling and speaking, "I would like to trouble Doctor Hua to examine my eldest granddaughter's injury. She had just recovered from a cold a few days ago, and now..."

It's best not to air your dirty laundry in public, so she hesitated and kept quiet.

Hua Duanli nodded in understanding and stepped forward to examine the wounds from the whip. The wounds weren't deep and would heal easily with some medicine; the old lady was just too worried about her granddaughter.

Upon seeing her attire, Granny Chen pulled off the veil covering Qian Youxue's face, revealing her uneven skin.

Hua Duanli was stunned for a moment. He had heard the rumors about the eldest daughter of the Qian family when he returned. However, he had never had the chance to meet her. Now, seeing her disfigured face, he felt a pang of sympathy for the girl.

At such a beautiful age, having such a face must have been incredibly painful for her.

"To be honest, many doctors have examined Youxue's face before, and they all said they couldn't do anything about it. Could you please take a look? If you can cure her, that would be great. If not, I won't blame you. I can only blame my Youxue for her unfortunate fate." The old lady's voice trembled slightly as she wiped her eyes and sobbed.

Hua Duanli nodded knowingly and began to carefully examine the birthmark on Qian Youxue's face.

The master and servant watched anxiously, afraid of disturbing Hua Duanli, and dared not ask any more questions.

The examination lasted for almost half an hour, with a thorough examination of her pulse and skin. After finishing, Hua Duanli stared blankly at Qian Youxue's face for a while, then shook his head helplessly.

Why……

Seeing this, the old lady sighed, and after slightly controlling her emotions, she said, "Thank you for your trouble, Doctor Hua."

Hearing the voice, Hua Duanli came back to his senses, stood up and cupped his hands to the old lady: "Old lady, don't be discouraged. Miss's face is not completely incurable. The most important thing is to see how she feels."

"What does this mean?" the old lady asked, puzzled.

Hua Duanli turned to look at Qian Youxue, who was pretending to be asleep, paused, and then continued, "As long as you keep a good mood, there is hope that you can find someone from Medicine King Valley to cure her in the future."

Medicine King Valley!

The old lady's mind was filled with these three words. She had heard that the people of Medicine King Valley were very mysterious, and even the entrance to Medicine King Valley was rarely known.

Finding the people of Medicine King Valley was no easy task, but it gave her hope.

"Madam, the young lady's wounds will heal after a few applications of this ointment. This is a special ointment made by the Hua family; it won't leave scars." Hua Duanli took out a porcelain bottle from his person and handed it to the old lady with both hands.

"Alright, thank you very much. Granny Chen, please see Dr. Hua out." The old lady gratefully accepted the porcelain bottle and instructed Granny Chen to escort the person out.

After the person left, she sat down, took Qian Youxue's hand, and said with a kind smile, "Don't worry, even if Xuanwu is turned upside down, Grandmother will find a way to bring back the people from Medicine King Valley to heal your face."

"Grandmother!" Qian Youxue burst into tears and couldn't help but open her eyes.

Seeing my grandmother's reddened eyes, I felt really bad, after all, her face had healed a long time ago.

The old lady was taken aback, not expecting that she hadn't noticed Youxue waking up. It seemed she was truly getting old, her health declining day by day.
