Chapter 98 098 "Yes, I'm insane. When you died, I..."

--

Lian Sheng stared blankly at Jiang Ling'er, his eyes trembling. Just as he was about to say something, Jiang Ling'er suddenly twitched her ears, grabbed the back of his collar, and leaped dozens of feet away!

Suddenly, a crack a foot wide appeared out of nowhere where they had just stood!

Jiang Ling'er shielded Lian Sheng behind her, hung the Buddhist beads around her neck, and suddenly looked up.

The Qin Demon Kong Wu, carrying an ancient zither, gracefully approached. With each step, her fingertips casually plucked the strings, and her inner force transformed into waves of energy. Each pluck caused a wave of energy to ripple outwards, indiscriminately injuring anyone who stood in her way.

Kong Wu stopped plucking the strings only when she walked up to Jiang Ling'er and Lian Sheng with her guqin.

Jiang Ling'er didn't show it on her face, but she was actually shocked by the Qin Demon's internal strength. Even so, she still stepped forward to shield Lian Sheng behind her.

Kong Wu smiled, pursing her lips.

"Should I call you Jiang Ling'er? Or the Asura Duo? The one who successively severely injured Di Qing, Huo Wu, and Shui Rong... it's you, isn't it? I never expected you to be such a beautiful and charming person..."

As Kong Wu spoke, her smile faded, and she glanced at her: "So the copy of the 'Longevity Manual' that Di Qing had is also on you? I didn't expect such an unexpected surprise."

An invisible pressure permeated the air, Jiang Ling'er's lips were pressed together until they were almost white, and her hands, hidden in her sleeves, trembled uncontrollably.

It is said that people who have reached a certain level of cultivation do not even need to make a move; their breathing and finger flicks are all supernatural powers.

I've even heard from senior members of the escort agency that some swordsmen don't need swords; their bodies are protected by sword energy, achieving perfect harmony between man and sword. They don't even need to make a move to intimidate their opponents.

Jiang Ling'er thought that she had probably encountered this situation.

The pressure was unprecedented, completely incomparable to that of Di Qing or Huo Wu. Jiang Ling'er's heart sank, but a thought struck her. She learned the breathing techniques that Shui Rong had taught her, and only then did she feel her stiff limbs gradually relax.

However, that's not enough.

That's far from enough.

Qin Mo Kong Wu was probably the most troublesome opponent she had ever encountered. She took a deep breath and was about to say something when suddenly a large group of people came towards them. Jiang Ling'er glanced to the side and saw that it was a group of Mongols.

The leader, holding a long spear, was tall with deep-set eyes and thick, curly hair. Jiang Ling'er recognized him; he was the foreign man who had fought against Master Ma in the martial arts arena.

And beside that foreign man...

Jiang Ling'er's eyes suddenly lit up; it was Pei Xuan!

Qin Mo Kong Wu frowned, her expression turning grim.

Why are the Mongols here?

Jiang Ling'er didn't see Yuan Zao, so she quickly asked:

Where is Yuan Zao?

"Don't worry, a Mongol cavalry unit has already been dispatched to escort Miss Yuan Er safely out of the escort agency." As he spoke, Pei Xuanfeng glanced at the mark between Lian Sheng's eyebrows and knew everything. He chuckled and said, "As expected. You take Lian Sheng first, and Chunyu Hun and I will cover the rear."

Chunyu Hun was clearly the foreigner holding the long spear. The foreigner even raised his hand to greet Jiang Ling'er, who smiled and responded.

There wasn't time to ask Pei Xuan where he had brought the reinforcements from, or how he had become acquainted with the Mongols, but Jiang Ling'er trusted Pei Xuan and immediately replied:

"Okay, I'll wait for you!"

He grabbed Lian Sheng's arm and left from behind.

Qin Mo Kong Wu sneered: "Trying to run away?"

A long spear was placed in front of the Qin Demon.

Chunyu Hun laughed loudly, "I've long heard that the Seven Great Assassins of your Demonic Sect are incredibly skilled! I, Chunyu Hun, have come to learn from them." He then instructed Pei Xuan beside him, "Daoist Master, I'll deal with her; please don't interfere."

Pei Xuan glanced at him: "Don't underestimate her."

"I know..."

Before Chunyu Hun could finish speaking, a clear and melodious zither melody was heard. Pei Xuan suddenly shoved Chunyu Hun, and a wisp of curly hair was instantly shaved off his temple.

Chunyu Hun was immediately terrified and broke out in a cold sweat, regretting his actions: "Daoist Master, save me!"

She looked up and met the alluring eyes of the Qin Demoness:

"Those who block my way shall die."

Chunyu Hun: "..."

The music of the zither filled the air, but Chunyu Hun's large body jumped around like an ant on a hot pan.

Pei Xuan's voice drifted from afar:

"Hold on...you must hold on!"

-------------------------------------

Jiang Ling'er had seen the skills of this foreigner named "Chunyu Hun" in the martial arts arena, and they were quite impressive. Moreover, he had brought so many Mongolian men with him. Her mood, which had been suppressed by the Qin Demon, had eased a little. However, after walking only a few dozen feet, she was blocked in front of her by Zhao Xiao and his group of White Tiger Hall disciples.

Moreover, these disciples are all skilled镖师 (bodyguards/escorts), so it will take quite a while to get there.

Jiang Ling'er thought to herself, "Oh no! I shouldn't have held back before... I should have finished him off!"

-------------------------------------

Ji Yunshu and Gao Yang, who had already forced off the effects of the medicine, removed the restraints from their hands in the martial arts arena.

Gao Yang: "Young Master, a disciple has informed us that the Jin army has poured into Jinling. Jinling is no longer a safe place. The brothers have already arrived. Should we leave now?"

Ji Yunshu noticed something out of the corner of her eye and suddenly said:

"No rush, let them go after the Qin Demon first, I'll be there shortly."

Gao Yang paused upon hearing this, and was about to ask Ji Yunshu where she was going when suddenly the large fox fur draped over Ji Yunshu fell into his hands. He looked up but could no longer see Ji Yunshu.

-------------------------------------

The White Tiger Hall members quickly surrounded Jiang Ling'er and Lian Sheng.

With both arms crippled, Zhao Xiao's martial arts skills were essentially useless! His eyes, as he looked at Jiang Ling'er, were filled with more than just venom; he practically wanted to tear her apart!

"Jiang Ling'er, you won't escape today." Turning his head, he coldly said to the White Tiger Hall disciple beside him, "Regardless of life or death, capture her. Whoever takes her head will be richly rewarded!"

Jiang Ling'er sneered and raised her hands in a gesture: "I have no choice but to leave!"

Suddenly, a tall, slender figure descended from the sky, standing between Jiang Ling'er and Zhao Xiao.

His voice, slightly deep and hoarse from a long illness, was clear and ethereal, yet every word was distinct and deeply moving.

"Wait a minute."

Jiang Ling'er's long eyelashes fluttered when she saw the tall, thin figure blocking her way.

It was... him.

"Ji Yunshu, what's wrong? Overjoyed to see your 'deceased wife'?" Zhao Xiao glanced at the heroes and travelers from all over the country gathered at the World's Number One Escort behind him. "Don't forget, Jiang Ling'er is still a criminal whom everyone hates. If you dare to protect her, you're associating with the Demonic Sect and the Jurchens!"

The young man looked at him indifferently with his beautiful peach blossom eyes, and simply replied with eight words:

"The hatred of killing one's wife is irreconcilable."

Zhao Xiao choked, swallowing hard: "...She's not dead!"

“Young Master Zhao may not know… cough cough.” The young man coughed softly, pressing his fist to his lips. “I’m a very vengeful and difficult person. Earlier… I was delayed while searching for someone. I won’t let either you or He Yong get away with this.”

Zhao Xiao sneered. He had always known that this son-in-law was far more complex than he appeared. But—

"He's just a weak scholar, you can't even kill a chicken. If you want to stop me, at least you should bring Mr. Gao with you, right?"

Upon hearing this, Ji Yunshu lowered her fist and said calmly, "If it's about avenging my wife's death, how can I rely on someone else?"

Before anyone could see how he made his move, with a ghostly figure, the three White Tiger Hall disciples closest to Jiang Ling'er and Lian Sheng were knocked to the ground by Ji Yunshu, unable to get up for a long time.

Zhao Xiao's expression changed instantly.

Jiang Ling'er snapped out of her daze, glanced at Ji Yunshu's retreating figure again, and understood his intention. Her brow furrowed slightly, and she grabbed Lian Sheng's arm, running towards the gap.

"Let's go!"

Ji Yunshu glanced at Jiang Ling'er's departing figure out of the corner of her eye, a very slight smile playing on her lips. Looking back at the White Tiger Hall disciple before her, only endless darkness remained in her beautiful peach blossom eyes. She said softly:

"Let's all come at once."

-------------------------------------

rockery.

It's inconvenient to run with one person, especially since that person doesn't know any martial arts.

Jiang Ling'er and Lian Sheng were finally caught up by the person who came, the person they least wanted to see.

Qin Mo Kong Wu.

Clearly...

Jiang Ling'er gritted her teeth and looked at the night sky outside the wall, even though she was about to go out.

Jiang Ling'er shielded Lian Sheng behind her, her heart pounding as she looked at the blood-stained face before her.

She was a little scared... scared that the blood on the Qin Demon's face was Pei Xuan's.

She feared that Pei Xuan was already dead, so she forced herself not to think about it.

She knew she was no match for the Demon of the Qin, and sure enough, in less than two moves, the Demon of the Qin grabbed her by the throat and pinned her against the artificial hill!

"I'll only ask you once: Where is the 'Longevity Manual' in Di Qing's possession? Hand it over!"

Jiang Ling'er glanced down at the sleeve of her right arm; the "Longevity Manual" was embroidered on the lining of her right sleeve.

In fact, the "Longevity Manual" that Jiang Ling'er had was from Yang Dalang. Di Qing's "Longevity Manual" was given to the Old Poison Master by the Little Poison Master.

Kong Wu ripped off her right sleeve, confirming it was indeed the "Longevity Manual," and a smile finally appeared on her face. She then asked her:

"Have you learned any of the skills from the 'Longevity Manual'?"

Jiang Ling'er shook her head, breathing heavily in Qin Mo Kong Wu's palm: "No...nothing."

"Heh, really not?"

The Qin Demon didn't believe it; she didn't believe anyone could truly resist the temptation of supreme martial arts.

Jiang Ling'er's vision blurred: "No... I just don't have it..."

Kong Wu glanced at the "Longevity Manual" on the ground, but unfortunately it was all written in tiny, illegible characters that she couldn't understand. She then asked Jiang Ling'er:

"Can you understand it?"

Jiang Ling'er's gaze was unfocused, and she slowly shook her head.

She and Little Poison had already studied X, which appeared to be written in Persian, and very few people could understand it.

Qin Mo Kong Wu sneered and tightened her fingers: "Then you have no use to me anymore."

Just as they were about to snap Jiang Ling'er's neck, Lian Sheng's anxious voice rang out:

"Don't kill her! I...I will!"

The Demon of the Qin paused, glancing sideways.

To prove he could truly understand it, Lian Sheng frantically picked up the "Longevity Manual" from the ground. Looking at the tiny, tadpole-like characters, he actually began to recite it fluently. Qin Mo Kong Wu listened patiently for a while, but finally, unable to contain her impatience, interrupted him:

"Wait, I don't understand it, how am I supposed to know if you're lying to me?"

Lian Sheng was speechless for a long time, his face turning red before he finally managed to utter, "...A monk does not lie. I did not deceive the benefactor."

Kong Wu, whose temperament was fickle, suddenly released her grip upon seeing the little monk's innocent yet clear eyes, covered her lips, and smiled. Jiang Ling'er also fell to the ground as a result, narrowly escaping death, and coughed while clutching her throat.

Kong Wu, her fingertips tinged with cinnamon, touched the lotus mark between Lian Sheng's brows and said with a sweet laugh:

"I don't believe in you monks at all. I only know one monk named Budai, who's full of bad ideas and is really wicked."

Kong Wu smiled sweetly, her eyes sparkling as she suddenly came up with an idea.

Her fingertips, tinged with cardamom, left Lian Sheng's brow and pointed towards the void:

“You go and teach her the formula, and then I will learn it after she learns it.”

Jiang Ling'er coughed for a long time, clutching her throat, before realizing she had been given a second chance at life. Only then did she belatedly notice that Kong Wu and Lian Sheng were both looking at her.

Jiang Ling'er paused, then hesitantly pointed to herself:

"……I?"

Kong Wu covered her lips and chuckled softly:

"Yes, I'm going to teach you unparalleled kung fu. Aren't you happy?"

-------------------------------------

On the other side of the martial arts arena, Pei Xuan used the Lingxiao Flower, a sacred artifact of the Lingxiao Sect, to detoxify the heroes.

When Wenshan Zhenjun saw Qinmo Kongwu hastily defeat those Mongol Khans and disappear, he originally wanted to follow her and escape in the chaos, but he was captured alive by the martial arts heroes who had been cured of the poison. That's another story.

Before entering the martial arts arena, Pei Xuan remembered to cover his face with a cloth. When distributing the trumpet vine flowers, he saw the Seven Little Trumpet Clan and paused for a moment before untying their ropes.

"Since you young heroes are all disciples of the Lingxiao Sect, you should have some Lingxiao flower seeds on you, right? That will save me a few plants."

“Of course.” As soon as her hands and feet were free, junior sister Lin Mengwan immediately took out several pills made from trumpet creeper seeds and gave them to her fellow disciples. Seeing that the strange young man was about to leave, she immediately called out to him, “Where did you get the trumpet creeper seeds?”

Pei Xuan paused, then said, "I bought it from a pharmacy in town."

Lin Mengwan frowned upon hearing this, and was about to ask something when her senior brother Wen Chengan tugged at her arm, stopping her.

Wen Cheng'an cupped his hands in greeting to the strange young man and said:

"Thank you so much for saving us. Please tell us your name, we will repay you handsomely in the future..."

Before Wen Cheng'an could finish speaking, he was interrupted by another junior disciple:

"Senior brother! Have you forgotten? In the martial arts arena, he and that foreign boy... no, he and Jiang Ling'er were in cahoots! We saw with our own eyes that Jiang Ling'er was hanging out with that little poisoner! And have you forgotten what Chief Escort Zhao just said? Jiang Ling'er is one of the masterminds behind this conspiracy between the Demonic Sect and the Jurchens!"

The martial arts arena was more than a hundred feet away from the outside world, so they did not see or hear the confrontation between Jiang Ling'er and Qin Mo Kong Wu.

As soon as the boy finished speaking, there was a moment of silence before Lin Mengwan's soft, puzzled voice rang out:

"But why...why did he give us the antidote?"

As soon as Lin Meng finished speaking, everyone was even more puzzled.

The Seven Young Masters of Lingxiao were wavering, unsure whether Zhao Xiao or Jiang Ling'er were on the right side. They wondered whose words were true...

Pei Xuan observed quietly for a while, then suddenly said, "Isn't it better to judge people with your heart than with your ears?"

All seven disciples of Xiaolingxiao paused, then suddenly Pei Xuan's eyes sharpened, and he pulled one of the seven disciples over to exchange a palm strike with the newcomer in mid-air!

Pei Xuan was originally a remnant of the Demonic Cult. He had lost all his internal strength, and in addition to recovering from a long illness, he had also suffered new injuries. He had also fought many battles with the Demonic Cult members to protect Yuan Zao, and was already at his limit. His already seriously injured body was further aggravated, and he vomited a mouthful of blood!

The intruder was quickly repelled by the youths wielding their swords. Seeing that this strange young man, whom they considered to be Jiang Ling'er's ally, had actually shielded them from the Demonic Sect's attack and was seriously injured, the youths, who had always believed in black and white, became even more confused.

Pei Xuan wiped the blood from the corner of his lips with his thumb, then staggered to his feet. Lin Mengwan was startled and quickly said:

"You've vomited blood... Where are you going?"

“I need to find…” Pei Xuan paused, a pair of almond-shaped eyes suddenly flashing through his mind, and he smiled, “My companion.”

Who else could his companion be but Jiang Ling'er?

Lin Mengwan couldn't help but say, "But you're in this state, you can barely take care of yourself, how can you go looking for someone..."

While the others were still hesitating, Gan Zishi, who had been silent all along, suddenly stood up and shouted to Pei Xuan:

"I'll help you!"

Pei Xuan paused, then blinked his phoenix eyes.

The other seven little Lingxiao disciples also paused for a moment, and soon started chattering away:

"Fourth Senior Brother, what are you saying? You're going to help Jiang Ling'er's accomplices? Have you forgotten what Chief Escort Zhao said?"

"Fourth Junior Brother, have you thought this through? One wrong move and you'll be an accomplice of the Demonic Sect..."

"Yes, Fourth Senior Brother, please don't act impulsively..."

"Stop talking!" Gan Zishi suddenly shouted, interrupting his fellow disciples' chatter. He pointed at Pei Xuan, who was caught off guard and blinked his phoenix eyes twice.

"Firstly, this man saved us and has done us a great favor, so I should repay him both morally and logically. Secondly, I have eyes, and I can tell for myself! That new Chief Escort Zhao acted like a bully in the martial arts arena, how could he be a good person? How could I believe what he says?"

Pei Xuan paused for a moment, then pressed his fist to his lips and smiled.

"Alright, that's enough. It's too dangerous here. Let's all leave as soon as possible."

As he spoke, he reached out and patted Gan Zishi's indignant back:

"Let's go...find some horses first."

-------------------------------------

Meanwhile, the disciples of the White Tiger Hall were knocked to the ground.

Blood stained the ground.

Including Zhao Xiao.

There are almost no undamaged parts of his body.

Ji Yunshu slowly walked up to Zhao Xiao, looking down at him. She saw blood continuously spilling from his mouth, his lips trembling as if he wanted to say something, but his throat was blocked by blood, and he could only manage to utter a few words with difficulty:

“Ji…Ji Yunshu, you…you studied…immortality…”

Ji Yunshu smiled very slightly, a slight twitch at the corner of her lips.

He raised his foot and stepped on Zhao Xiao's chest, grinding it down little by little. After enjoying Zhao Xiao's dying struggle for a while, he was about to give him a quick and painless death when Gao Yang's voice suddenly rang out.

"Young Master, you mustn't!"

Gao Yang led his horse over: "Young Master, there are plenty of opportunities to kill him, but we can't kill him on the territory of the Number One Escort. After all..." Gao Yang paused, then handed a handkerchief to Ji Yunshu with practiced ease, "He is now the chief镖头 (chief镖头, head镖师, of the Number One Escort) in the world."

Ji Yunshu sneered, took the handkerchief and carefully wiped the bloodstains from her hands before casually tossing it away, which landed right next to Zhao Xiao's bloodied and mangled face.

They mounted their horses and left.

-------------------------------------

The world's number one darts, the artificial mountain.

Lian Sheng orally taught Jiang Ling'er the secret formula of the "Longevity Manual". Jiang Ling'er was not interested in the "Longevity Manual" at first, and even hated it. But after all, it was a supreme martial arts manual, and she gradually became fascinated by it.

Qin Mo Kongwu was very shrewd and kept a close eye on things. She was unwilling to take any risks, but she also didn't want Jiang Ling'er to learn too much.

Each time, Lian Sheng would give Jiang Ling'er a verbal instruction, and only after seeing that she followed along without going astray would she begin to practice.

Jiang Ling'er hadn't expected Lian Sheng to be so honest and straightforward, reciting exactly what was written in the "Longevity Manual." However, she couldn't hide it from Kong Wu.

It turned out that Qin Mo Kongwu had a rubbing of the "Longevity Formula" in Di Qing's possession, but it was incomplete. Even if she found a Persian, he could only translate half of the formula. Seeing that Lian Sheng had accurately translated the first half of the formula, she was naturally overjoyed.

The more the Qin Demon rejoiced, the more worried Jiang Ling'er became. They were already no match for the Qin Demon, and now that he had learned the "Longevity Technique," he was even stronger. How could they possibly escape?

Once this book of "The Secret of Longevity" is finished being taught, Lian Sheng will still be alive, but her life will be over.

With dawn approaching, they couldn't delay any longer; otherwise, they wouldn't be able to escape. Jiang Ling'er kept trying to give Lian Sheng a meaningful look, but the silly boy couldn't understand...

It seems I can only rely on myself.

Suddenly, an idea struck her.

After Lian Sheng relayed another incantation, under the watchful eye of Qin Mo Kong Wu, she secretly adjusted her breathing and inhalation, imitating Shui Rong's practice of reversing her meridians...

Suddenly, he bent over in pain, as if his internal energy had been backfired!

Qin Mo Kongwu paused, then said sharply, "What is it?!" She suddenly turned around and strode towards Liansheng, "Well, little novice, how dare you lie to me?"

Lian Sheng's face was filled with anxiety: "This humble monk did not..."

Just as Qin Mo Kong Wu was about to grab Lian Sheng by the throat, Jiang Ling'er suddenly leaped into the air and struck Qin Mo's back with a "thunder" palm!

The Qin Demon was suddenly blasted into the artificial mountain, almost breaking through it!

Jiang Ling'er was startled, exchanging bewildered glances with Lian Sheng, then looking at their own palms in shock. It was only then that they realized what had happened…

This is the power of the "Longevity Formula".

She dared not delay any longer, nor dared to look at the situation of the Qin Demon in the artificial hill. She grabbed Lian Sheng's hand, shoved the "Longevity Manual" in his hand into his arms, and ran away.

"……Walk!"

----x---------------------------------

The morning mist had just cleared, before the rising sun had even peeked out.

Dawn broke.

Jiang Ling'er knocked down the guards outside the escort agency one after another, and half-dragged Lian Sheng into the street. For some reason, all the heroes participating in the martial arts tournament rushed towards the city gate.

At some point, a large number of Jin soldiers poured into Jinling City, and they were quickly surrounded by them.

They were surrounded by Jin soldiers in front, and behind them...

Qin Mo Kong Wu.

The Demon of the Zither finally caught up, and as expected, that attack only scratched her skin, but... it left fine and terrifying wounds on her beautiful face.

The Demon of the Harp stared at them, his eyes bloodshot, and spoke each word clearly:

"I want you alive. I'll slice you alive, piece by piece!"

Jiang Ling'er gripped Lian Sheng's wrist tightly, her lower lip pursed white.

what to do……

At the critical moment, as the first rays of dawn faded, a black and red steed soared high overhead, a hand reached out, and a familiar voice came from above:

"Come on up!"

Jiang Ling'er's eyes lit up, she reached out and grabbed it, and in an instant, the world spun around her as she was hoisted onto the horse's back!

Behind him was the familiar scent of trumpet creeper flowers… It was Pei Xuan.

She looked back and saw that Lian Sheng had also mounted a fine horse, and the person driving the horse was none other than Gan Zishi.

Jiang Ling'er was about to ask Pei Xuan a question when she felt a weight on her shoulder; Pei Xuan was resting his head on her shoulder.

"...I'll just sleep for a little while."

He finished speaking and closed his eyes. If I hadn't felt his faint breathing, I would have thought he was dead!

Jiang Ling'er breathed a long sigh of relief. She glanced at Pei Xuan's profile, which was as white as a snow-covered mountain. She knew all too well that he had lost all his inner energy and was still asking her to protect Xiao Zao. The fact that he could hold on until now meant that he was already at his last gasp.

"Go to sleep... thank you."

The young Taoist priest didn't speak, but his lips twitched slightly before he rested his forehead on her shoulder and fell into a deep sleep.

Fearing Pei Xuan would fall off his horse, Jiang Ling'er pulled out her belt with one hand and, with considerable effort, tied him to herself. Suddenly, Gan Zishi's urgent cry rang in her ears:

"Look ahead! The city gates are about to close!"

As the Jin soldiers swept across the city like crows, and the city gates were about to close, it was clear that the people of Nanjing were to be locked inside the city... in a desperate struggle!

Jiang Ling'er glanced at Lian Sheng, who was keeping pace with them, then looked behind her—

Behind him, numerous martial arts masters and tourists participating in the tournament fled in panic towards the city gates, but there were many more...

The people of Nanjing are still asleep.

That was her hometown, where she had lived for over twenty years.

They were the neighbors who had been with her since she was a child.

These are countless living, breathing people of Nanjing.

Jiang Ling'er glanced one last time at Pei Xuan, who was unconscious and resting his head on her shoulder, and murmured:

"You'll... agree with me, won't you?"

Jiang Ling'er withdrew her gaze and slowly exhaled a sigh of frustration. Seeing the city gate drawing ever closer, she suddenly said:

"Young man Gan Zishi, now that we've met, could you please do me a favor?"

Gan Zishi was stunned for a moment before realizing that Jiang Ling'er was speaking to him. He composed himself and said:

"you say."

"Could you please take care of Liansheng, the monk behind you? Three days... at most three days. We'll meet at the pavilion outside Jinling City. If I don't come..." Jiang Ling'er paused, then gritted her teeth and said, "No, I will definitely come!"

Lian Sheng, standing behind Gan Zishi, paused, suddenly realizing what Jiang Ling'er was about to do. He quickly said:

"I want to be with you all..."

Jiang Ling'er interrupted him, staring directly into his eyes:

"I will definitely come, wait for me."

Lian Sheng wanted to refuse, but looking into Jiang Ling'er's eyes and seeing his Buddhist prayer beads hanging around her neck...

She bit her lip, nodded, and said nothing more.

Upon seeing this, Jiang Ling'er showed her first smile in the past two days.

Gan Zishi had already been impressed by Jiang Ling'er's performance in the martial arts arena, and immediately agreed to her request.

With the city gate right in front of them, Jiang Ling'er raised her whip and lashed Gan Zishi and Liansheng's horses hard!

"Young Master Gan, Lian Sheng, see you in three days!"

Seeing that the two people and the horse had successfully exited the city gate, Jiang Ling'er finally breathed a sigh of relief. She gritted her teeth, grabbed the reins, and charged back!

Unexpectedly, they saw Ji Yunshu and her group rushing towards the city gate!

The moment Ji Yunshu saw Jiang Ling'er, especially when she saw Jiang Ling'er turn around and ride back, her beautiful peach blossom eyes suddenly contracted. As the flying horse brushed past her, she disregarded the danger and almost lost her composure, grabbing a corner of Jiang Ling'er's clothes:

"I'll take you away! You'll die if you stay here!"

The two horses neighed at the same time. If Jiang Ling'er hadn't been a skilled rider, and if she hadn't tied Pei Xuan and herself together beforehand, the two of them would have been thrown off their horses!

Jiang Ling'er tightened the reins, and the horse neighed, stamping its feet on the spot. Turning its head, it glared angrily:

"You're insane!"

Ji Yunshu glared at her fiercely, and Pei Xuan, who was resting his head on her shoulder, suddenly pursed his lips and smiled:

"Yes, I'm insane. I was already insane when you died!"

Their eyes met, and Jiang Ling'er was startled by the madness in Ji Yunshu's eyes, her brows furrowing:

“Ji Yunshu, I remember I asked Mr. Gao to convey this... I'm afraid he's forgotten, so let me say it again.”

Jiang Ling'er stared at the familiar yet unfamiliar, crazed peach blossom eyes before her, each word cutting like a dull knife, her tone resolute, cruel, and incredibly clear and profound:

"Ji Yunshu, our marriage is over. Don't come looking for me."

The moment he finished speaking, he ruthlessly pulled out a dagger from his bosom, cut off a corner of his clothes, and with a fierce flick of his whip, spurred his horse and galloped away!

Gao Yang cried out urgently, "Young Master, be careful!"

Ji Yunshu suddenly lost her balance and fell off her horse, but Gao Yang quickly grabbed her by the collar and pulled her back onto the horse!

Ji Yunshu stared intently at Jiang Ling'er's departing figure, her peach blossom eyes bloodshot, and commanded Gao Yang:

"Catch up with her!"

"Young Master, the city gates are about to close. Please forgive me... I cannot comply."

Gao Yang, carrying Ji Yunshu, galloped out of the city gate with a long neigh.

The moment the city gates closed, Ji Yunshu watched helplessly as Jiang Ling'er rode her horse, carrying Pei Xuan, leaping over the wall of Jin soldiers...

He suddenly laughed, then spat out a mouthful of blood. Even as the city gates closed amidst Gao Yang's urgent cries, he remained fixed on that direction, as if trying to etch the scene into his eyes and heart...

Until she was completely exhausted... she fainted.
